Transcript of my interview yesterday 28th June, 2019.

I got to the Embassy by 6.20am for my 7am slot and immediately had my appointment print out stamped. Then I joined a queue. When they were ready to attend to us, they decided to start with short stay candidates first.

After about 1hr 30 mins of waiting, they started attending to Student Visa people. So we left the queue outside and joined the queue on the wooden platform with seats.

Then Paulinus came and started asking us to arrange our documents in a certain order. I don’t recall the exact order but these were the documents he asked for.

2 Application for Visa forms placed face down
2 signed declaration forms on top of them
2 photocopies of your passport data page next.
2 photocopies of your FSLC next with your original placed separately (I didn’t have this and I asked here a few days ago. When I told him that I didn’t have it, he asked me to move on to the next document)
2 photocopies of an old document eg old library card, baptismal certificate etc (at least over 5years old) to verify your age next with the original placed on the FSLC
WAEC or NECO photocopies then their originals on their respective piles
University degree next,
NYSC,
Admission letter (one translation before the other)
Hand written letter of Motivation next,
Curriculum Vitae,
Blocked Account document next
Then any other supporting document you have. One original and 2 photocopies each.

He then pinned the 3 piles of documents together, sighted our visa fees, gave us a gate pass and sent us in.

When I got to the VO, she didn’t ask me a lot of questions.

What did you study as an undergraduate?
Why are you going for this course?
What was your undergraduate project topic?
Why do you want to study in Germany?
What do you know about the Politics in Germany?
Have you applied for a visa before either to Germany or any other country?
Have you blocked funds in your blocked account?
What do you plan to do after your studies?

I wish everyone good luck with their AL, BA, SL and AM. We’ll all meet in Deutschland.

Is not a big issue, if you can get your affidavit, is equally good.

On my interview day, Paulinus made it optional, he said "if you have your first school leaving cert, add it next"

I’m in a bit of a dilemma. My First School Leaving Cert is lost. I’ve just gotten back from going to trace it from my primary school but I found out that the school doesn’t exist anymore and hasn’t even existed for years. Is there any other thing I can do to get it as quickly as possible or can I swear an affidavit for it?
Those that have gone for interview, is not having it a deal breaker at the embassy? BA, appointment date and AL are all set. Just this certificate left.

1. Admit that you're wrong here. You brought the devil into your home first. Sit her down and try to talk to her about it. I'm 90% sure talking won't work at first tho. You can't fix months/years of damage in one 2-hr sitting.
2. Have you seen a movie called 'fireproof'? It's an American movie about relationships and Jesus. You can skip the Jesus part if you're not a Christian. It basically takes you on a 40-day journey to win your home. I'll recommend the 40-day step even if you finally decide you want out anyway.
3. Do something for her from the bottom of your heart everyday for the next 40 days. Midday calls or texts, help with the kids, surprise meals, book a spa appointment for her. Start small tho. Make her life a little easier. She'll see your apology clearer than she hears it. You know the places in your marriage that are cold. Light them up again

You don't need to overflog the cgpa issue. Your best bet is to evaluate your cgpa via wes. Your 3.42 will get you 3.0.

I beg to differ. The figures above ain't true. Going by his initial post, he wrote 3.42. If he decide to evaluate his transcript he would get at least a 3.0 or 3.1.
You don't need to have 3.5 to get 3.0. I have a friend with 3.36 and when he evaluated he got 3.1. Its not magic. I will advice you evaluate your transcript via wes.

Since you said you have a good gre scores then you are good to go though most schools requires 3.00 on 4.00 scale but there are some schools that requires 2.85 or 2.75 0n 4.00 scale..hope that help

That's my fear too. 3.00 on a 4.00 scale translates to 3.75 on a 5.00 scale (abi??) and I'm way off that mark. Should I just stick to the 2.75/2.85 schools or do I stand any chance with the 3.00 schools. Thanks for taking time to reply me.

I'm in a fix. Is there any chance of getting an admission with a 3.42 cgpa? I've just written the gre and I exceeded most of my intended schools' minimum requirement. Somebody, please help.
