Omoawoke: They wont disqualify nor rerun anything. People pushing the narrative are simply dull. They are suffering poverty of reasoning. No law in the world holds that a candidate must win the capital before he can be declared winner.
So if a candidate wins all 36 states and didnt get 25% in capital, then he wont be declared. It sounds very stupid and dumb to think that way it's like saying a team shouldn't win league cos they fail to beat the second place team on d log home away... The rule is get highest votes and 25 percent in 24 states plus Abuja... Tinubu meet all anything else is academic exercise and Political entertainterment |

deji17: Obi may likely still get the votes he got, even with Osinbajo on APC ticket. SW will still be divided, the way it did. Leaving Obi and Atiku to consolidate on their stronghold. Osinbajo will have none. it's pointless arguing with u... To think LP can stand APC PDP in a national elections... I wasted time conversing with u anyway |

Intrepid01: Lol…you’re talking about Buhari pre-2015 and not Buhari in 2023. Buhari and his Govt are very unpopular today and in fact was a big problem for Tinubu’s campaign throughout the campaign period. Atiku was able to garner as many votes as he did in the North, most especially NW because of the anger towards APC due to Buhari’s failure. Buhari couldn’t even deliver his home state for Tinubu to tell you how unpopular he has become. I can tell you for a fact that Buhari will find it hard to gather 6m votes across the country if he contested in the last election. It is a usual thing for politicians to be popular before winning an election but will become unpopular most likely by the time they are leaving govt, it will most likely happen to Tinubu as well. go sidon how come APC won katsina for gorvenor then?? Pmb would have beaten Atiku blue black in the North so don't u say tinubu is popular than buhari... 2019 did pmb not dust Atiku up not... Buhari is a political Colossus |

Religion played major role in the last election. Christians from Edo or plateau would rather queue behind osinbajo that has a chance of winning on major ticket and divide their votes for obi. you Sabi game |

deji17: Correct. Osinbajo would have come a distant 3rd to Atiku and Peter Obi. Honestly, he would have had no political base. it shows u don't even know politics... LP can't come second.. APC as a big party and brand could only lose to PDP.... LP was never going to win president elections nor come second... Go and read soludo letter and read a certain Jega letter too is like saying democrat or Republican would come Third in United States... The worst would be osinbajo and APC losing by slim margin to Atiku and PDP... Even tinubu APC could have lost if obi kwankwanso were in PDP... |

Jogs1900: Do you think Osinbajo would have garnered more votes than Tinubu in the north? What GEJ as a sitting President failed to do in the north. GEJ contested with buhari that is a demi god in North West and East even obasanjo that contested with buhari in the era elections was worse couldn't beat buhari in North West East then... Besides GEJ won 7 out of 19 Northern states in 2011... Atiku is no buhari so osinbajo would have matched Atiku... Al APC would have done is pick zulum as deputy... Let's analyse logically and well... In 2015 APC was formed and had foothold in South West and North Central especially with PDP issues and how APC played opposition so all work for pmb to win... |

Intrepid01: Lol funny submission, if you want to know who was more popular btw Zik and AWO, just check out 1979 and 1983 election results. Zik was never in the competition, it was always a fight btw Shagari and Awo. Zik came a distant 3rd in both elections. Zik’s popularity was almost totally limited to the East. When next you want to compare political popularity, don’t use emotions, use past election results of the individuals. I know some years to come some people will even say Peter Obi, Orji Kalu or another regional politician was more popular than Tinubu when facts have shown that today Tinubu is the single most popular politician in Nigeria, even more popular than Buhari, unfortunately. tinubu is not popular like buhari except u just want to overate him... Tinubu won majorly cos of APC being a big party and kwankwanso obi Left PDP... AndroBlaze:
I don't agree with your Plateau and Edo analsyis.
For the majority non Hausa Fulani tribes that make up Plateau I do not believe their is a special affinity to the Igbo. What motivates them is to ensure that they are not "ruled" by the Hausa Fulani grand plan, especially if it appears to be islamic.
Osinbajo being a Pastor would easily win their sentiments. Also APC have a sitting governor their so it would have been far easier for him to sell the ticket. Father Alia doing so well in Benue should show anyone how deep some MIddle Belt states can take religion.
As for Edo, their people have no deep seated issue with APC as shown by how well APC did in the Legislative elections. Their problem is with Tinubu as a character and also the islamic one ticket angle. Pastor Osinbajo would have easily beaten Obi in Edo with Oshiomole and co backing him.
I am not sure being Igbo was the reason anyone out of the SE and SS voted for Obi i.e. it did not give him any additional benefit. It was the Christian angle "the defender of the faith"...I mean as he said, his only hope was turn the election into a "religious war", but that largely failed in the SouthWest.
u Sabi analysis I wonder how pple think others are like east that play Politics of bitterness hating anything APC... Some persons who voted against tinubu in Lagos were osinbajo supporters osinbajo on the ticket APC would win lagos and Abuja... The issue would be north west and East and I still think APC would have done well too since it's a big Party all they could have done is pick zulum as deputy president candidate to sell APC in the North West East... benue would have gone to APC... Niger kogi kwara to... Even nassarawa to... For south east they are too bitter so whoever APC present no hope... South South APC would have done well so osinbajo could still have won... Again politics isn't one plus one...if Obi kwankwanso were in PDP APC with tinubu could have lost self so I wonder the braggado that tinubu did magic... Can tinubu win president with SDP Party? |

So if apc candidate was not a strong politician like tinubu, many of those voted for apc would have put their votes for atiku. Even apc would not have gotten that amount of votes in the south. biggest Politician yet couldn't dominate the votes.. entirely buhari was won entire North East West 2003 and 2011... Whichever one he’s, he has shown he’s not cut from the same cloth as the Great Sage and Yoruba Jesus, Chief Obafemi Awolowo - despite being an Inlaw. Awolowo was always about Yoruba first and the survival of Yoruba people - with a better understanding of what a nation should be.

Unlike the hateful bigots parading themselves as eyeneck select, Osinbajo will make a good president who can heal the nation.
It's not too late to make amends and thank God that he is now being primed to head the ING. Even Sanusi gave a hint about it during the book launch but many Nigerians didn't get the hint.
