richiemcgold:Do the South West have the numerical strength than South South? Please we will argue with fact. |
Odin13:If you read my post very well, you will not see where I said Ibori is powerful than OBJ politically. Read the post again. Ibori wouldn't have been more powerful than a man who denied him the VP slot. Where did you read that from? This my article? I doubt that. |

I have read several posts by Yorubas on this platform alleging that Obasanjo (OBJ), a man from the South West, made South South (SS) occupy the Vice Presidential (VP) seat under Yar'Adua. I affirm the fact that OBJ is the one who made Jonathan (GEJ) a VP to Yar'Adua, and not the SS occupying the VP slot. SS occupying the VP slot was a zoning arrangement agreed upon by the leaders of People's Democratic Party (PDP). In explaining the above, let me start by saying that OBJ was made President in 1999 by the overwhelming support of SS and South East, and not with the support of his people, the South West. It is therefore not in contention if I say SS were among those who made Obasanjo the President in 1999, and that the South West didn't. Let me now tackle the main issue. In 1999, PDP zoned the VP slot to SS to compensate SS for their support, and also to appease the Governors from SS to forego or lower their agitation for resource control which was resisted by OBJ's administration. That battle birthed 13% derivation, and it was strongly fought by James Ibori, Peter Odili, Lucky Igbinedion, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, etc. Now, the initial plan then was to make James Ibori or Peter Odili the VP but due to the fact that OBJ knew very well that the duo are too powerful and tough for him to control, opted for a less powerful candidate in the person of GEJ. OBJ did that to enable him control the state of affairs in Asorock, that is play the role of a godfather after his third term agenda failed woefully. Even during the administration of Yar'Adua, Ibori was more powerful than GEJ and above OBJ in Asorock, this is what OBJ foresaw that made him not to support Ibori who was the favorite then, in becoming the VP to Yar'Adua. Instead, supported a political novice, GEJ, who he thought he can easily control. This article is to correct the notion that the South West made SS occupy the VP seat of Nigeria in 1999. Politically, from 1999 to 2007, the SS leaders were more powerful than the leaders from South West. The South West regained their political relevance immediately Buhari became the President in 2015, all thanks to Tinubu. Come 2022, a political lesson shall be learnt by the people of South West. From Edo down to Cross Rivers, missiles of lessons shall be sent to South West. Ciao. |

mapet:You are the one that needs glasses. Adedoyin, according to a statement on Tuesday, is being charged with the offence of unlawful interference with a dead body, while the other six accused persons are charged with various offences ranging from murder, conspiracy, altering receipt, along with other stated offences. Adedoyin was not charged for murder but unlawful interference with a dead body. It was the others that were charged for murder, conspiracy, altering receipt, along with other stated offences. |
First of all, may his soul rest in perfect peace. This is a story of a young man who decided to develop himself educationally in order to remain useful and law abiding, paid for an hotel room with his hard earned money only to be killed by those who are supposed to ensure his safety in their premises. I have a question to ask. Why didn't the police charge the owner of the hotel for murder? Why just the staff? |
Good move. Lesson must be learnt. |

Over the counter statistics. In conclusion, WOMEN WHO OWNS PROPERTY BE IT WITH TITLE DEEDS OR WITHOUT TITLE DEEDS 1. NORTH EAST 57.0% + 40.1% = 97.1% 2. SOUTH EAST 2.0% + 94.9% = 94.9% 3. NORTH WEST 43.8% + 50.6% = 94.4% 4. SOUTH SOUTH 10.6% + 75.1% = 85.7% 5. NORTH CENTRAL 11.2% + 72.7% = 83.9% 6. SOUTH WEST 31.44% + 45.2% = 76.9% So NORTH EAST, SOUTH EAST, NORTH WEST, SOUTH SOUTH, NORTH CENTRAL women get landed properties pass SOUTH WEST women? We fit agree with SOUTH EAST and SOUTH SOUTH but NORTH EAST, NORTH WEST and NORTH CENTRAL own dey make me laugh. As a liberal person from South South, I hereby trash this statistics from Stati |

ThickSharon123:Attache. For Oshimili and Okay people. |
bomb24:Hahaha and he was not a Billionaire in $. Onitsha main market gist and bragging. There are just 3 billionaires in $ in Nigeria, and they are: Dangote, Adenuga and BUA Cement owner, Abdulsamad. Igbos are only known for frivolous stories without backing. |
bomb24:Really Ibru can't tie the lace of Arthur Eze? LoL. Arthur Eze that is not worth $1bn? Hahaha. For your info, the man is dead but your Arthur Eze na houseboy for where he dey. |
basilo101:You are inconsequential in this arguement. It is Bkayy I am always quoting but you are looking for my attention by all means. I won't respond to any of your comments otherthan warn you Basillo. |
BKayy:Once you people get access to clean water, I will answer your question. You lack electricity, good roads, water, etc. |
BKayy:"Administrative section of the oil rigs" Abeg! which school did you attend? |
BKayy:That is why we value them here. Trading is needed to make the economy of Delta stable. Apart from trading, Igbos aren't into any other thing in Delta. They don't produce nor make but only sell and distribute. We aren't creative but it is an Urhobo man that introduced the whole of Nigeria to ice fish! It was an Urhobo man that started Oceanic Bank even though we know it has collapsed. No bank ever started by an Igbo has reached the state of Oceanic Bank as at then. Urhobo man started a brewery company before any Igbo person ventured into it. I wonder what is your definition of brain. |
MEGAWATCH:The way he attacks Igbo, I thought he can't have anything to do with Igbo people. Only for me to see that his wife is partly Igbo. Na wa o. |
basilo101:Shut up. It is not just about oil. There is a good percentage of oil in Imo than Anambra yet Anambra is wealthier than Imo. There is more oil in Akwa Ibom than Delta yet Delta is richer than Akwa Ibom. Chill, we are already above oil in Delta. |
