Very true, but a Muslim Muslim ticket would change that. In case you're not aware, there's an open genocide against Christians in the North. And it's gradually moving down south look at the incident that happened in owo.

Kaduna State in the past usually rotate power between Muslim and Christian. Now they choose Muslim governor and Muslim deputy, loot at what Southern Kaduna is today. Terrorist are using Helicopters to strike at unarmed villages, Bandits are blowing up trains and abducting people. How many arrest have been done so far...none. Why? Cos their leaders who are Muslims are protecting them.

Even in my place of work, we talked about the insecurity in Nigeria and how Buhari's government is very slow to act whenever it involves Muslims and fast to act whenever it involves IPOB Christians. And the yourba Christians amongst us where of the opinion that they would stand behind Peter Obi cos if a Muslim Muslim gets to Aso Rock, Christianity in Nigeria would be on the verge of going extinct.

Lol... Osibanjo campaigned openly in RCCG camp he even came with Buhari. Go to YouTube the videos are there. Both were on the camp ground, if Daddy Adeboye didn't support them, he wouldn't have given them his altar to campaign on.

And mind you Bishop Oyedepo is a son to daddy Adeboye, so whoever Daddy follows all PFN follows.

PDP will obviously win in the north because of the high level of illiteracy there. Those ones vote based on what they're being told. That's why I want Peter Obi to pick a very vibrant northern who will get him a reasonable number of votes from the north.

Then for the South South, if Atiku picks wike, it's game over for him, Okowa would never stand behind Wike so Peter Obi can capitalize on that to get Delta and Bayelsa, as for cross river and akwa ibom, we see ourselves as one, hard work and playing the religious card to them might just work out in his favour.
Oga, know this today and be properly guided. If Okowa becomes the VP to Atiku, PDP will end up winning Delta North only, lose Delta Central, and share the spoils in Delta South with APC. It is only if Atiku chooses Wike that PDP can win the 3 senatorial district in Delta. Apart from Delta North, the other districts hate Okowa with passion due to the Buhari style of tribalism he displayed couples with betrayal of PDP bigwigs in Delta Central and South.

Wike is like a demigod in South South including Delta. He is 100 per cent more popular and acceptable in South South than Okowa. Just that Wike is not acceptable in South East. Even at that, Okowa can not pull expected votes for Atiku in South East, and can not also pull votes than Wike in South South.

Hope Uzodinma Should not Have Castigated the Institution that Brought him to Power - Wike

STATE BROADCAST BY HIS EXCELLENCY, NYESOM EZENWO WIKE, CON, GSSRS, POS TO THE PEOPLE OF RIVERS STATE ON FRIDAY 6TH MAY 2022

My dear people of Rivers State

Today, 6th May 2022, the Supreme Court of Nigeria has delivered its judgment on the subsisting boundary dispute between Imo State and Rivers State over the ownership of some oil wells at the Akiri and Mbede Oil fields.

2. Let us recall that following the disputed claims to the location and ownership of some oil wells at the Akiri and Mbede oilfields between Imo and Rivers States in 1999, the Governors, Their Excellencies, Achike Udenwa and Dr. Peter Odili respectively, worked out a political settlement and mutually settled for a 50:50 percent beneficial sharing of the derivation proceeds accruing from these wells pending the proper demarcation of the boundaries between the two States by the National Boundary Commission (NBC).

3. While the dispute lingered, nothing was done by the NBC to demarcate the boundaries of the two States and establish the proper location and title to the disputed oil wells.

4. However, instead of instigating the NBC to do the right thing, Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State, shortly after assuming office, repudiated the subsisting 50:50 percent sharing formula and made provocative claims to the exclusive ownership of the entire Akiri and Mbede oil wells.

5. In order to actualized this spurious claims, he stealthily wrote a letter dated 9th August 2019 to President Mohammadu Buhari and requested for the refund of the sum of N15, 000,000.00 (fifteen billion naira) from Rivers State to Imo State as backlog of accrued proceeds from the 13% derivation revenue of the said oil wells.

6. Acting on Governor Ihedioha’s letter, Mr. President warranted a letter to be written to the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMFAC) through his late Chief of State, Mr. Abba Kyari, to alter the status quo against in favour of Imo State without reference to the subsisting dispute and agreement between the two States.

7. Surprised by the surreptitious plots and collusive actions of the Government of Imo State and the NBC to overreach the legal interest of Rivers State in the disputed oil wells, the Rivers State Government opted to approach the Court for a just and lasting resolution.

8. Accordingly, we first applied to the Federal High Court, Abuja and among other reliefs, successfully challenged the powers and authority of Mr. President to give directives to the RMFAC and or interfere in any manner whatsoever with the distribution of public revenues from the distributable pool account, including the Federation Account.

9. Not satisfied with the positive ruling of the Federal High Court, the Imo State Government appealed to the Court of Appeal and lost. We then proceeded against the Government of Imo State at the Supreme Court in a fresh suit for a final and conclusive determination of the boundary dispute between our two States.

10. In approaching the Supreme Court in this matter, we believed that the dispute between the two State and the contentious issues are such that the Court can judicially, justly and expeditiously determine with the available facts and supporting evidence, including valid administrative maps, subsisting judgments, and other relevant documents.

11. And so, the Supreme Court has finally and conclusively resolved the dispute and granted full and exclusive ownership of all the disputed oil wells in Akiri and Mbede oilfields, to Rivers State much to everyone’s relief.

13. Although Governor Hope Uzodima was not the mastermind of the impulsive trajectory that compelled us to seek the intervention and protection of the Courts, he nevertheless participated fully in the litigation process to the end without engaging the Rivers State Government for a possible a political solution.

14. However, his reactions to the judgments of the lower courts on this matter were clearly uncalled for.

15. Indeed, itwas rather unfortunate that for someone who became Governor through the instrumentality of the judiciary could turnaround to castigate the very institution that made him ruler over the good, peaceful and progressive people of Imo State.

16. Now that the Supreme Court have spoken, we hope Governor Hope Uzodima will accept the outcome in good faith, refrain from his usual diatribes against the judiciary and explore possible pathways to accommodation and compromise from the Rivers State Government.

17. This, we may readily oblige, despite the betrayals and back-stabbing by Emeka Ihedioha, who in spite of the extensive support and goodwill he received from the Government and people of Rivers State to become Governor, led the onslaught and created a wedge between two brotherly States that have been living at peace and in friendship with each other.

18. We also deplore the collusive actions of the NBC, which unfortunately, has become notorious as one of the most corrupt national agency, which has functioned more in causing confusion that resolving boundary disputes.

19. It bears repeating that the quest to defend our ownership rights through the courts over the Akiri and Mbede oil wells was not intended to claim victory over Imo or any other State.

20. We are therefore open to further discussions with the Government of Imo State on the best way forward without prejudice to the outcome of today’s judgment.

21. We appreciate the lawyers that prosecuted and secured this landmark success for Rivers State, and for their efforts, it is my pleasure to announce the conferment of State Honours on every one of them as the Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State (DSSRS).

22. Finally, I wish to reiterate our resolve to continue to fight for, advance and protect the best interest of Rivers State at all times and under any circumstances up to the end of our Government, and we hope our successor would likewise continue in this courageous spirit and determination to make the desired positive difference for our State and our people.

23. Thank you and may God bless you all!

FoodHow To Cook Delta Banga Rice (Urhobo & Isoko Version) by Oghene1st(op): 11:12pm On May 05, 2022
https://guardian.ng/life/food/how-to-make-banga-rice/

HOW TO MAKE BANGA RICE

Just picture it as palm oil rice that looks like jolof rice but very different in taste, traceable to the Edoid tribes in Delta (Urhobo and Isoko). It is an easy, refreshing change to your palette that your taste buds will surely thank you for.

INGREDIENTS:

700g (1 De Rica or 4 cups) long grain parboiled rice.
400g palm fruit extract, canned or made from scratch
Beef Stock
2 medium smoked fish – deboned and broken into small pieces
Orunbebe stick (optional)
1 red onion – chopped
1 tsp banga spices
1 tbsp crayfish (optional)
1 tbsp ground cayenne pepper
2 seasoning cubes
Salt (to taste)
Dry or fresh habanero pepper (atarodo) (to taste) – diced
Scent leaves (to taste) – rinsed

HOW TO PREPARE:

Wash out the starch in your rice with hot water. Drain, pour cold water over it. Drain again and set aside.

Mix the banga concentrate in a pot of hot water so that all the sand and particles can sink to the bottom.

Decant slowly into another pot for cooking your rice. Make sure no sand transfers to the new pot.

Add beef stock if you have, onion, banga spices, orunbebe stick, smoked fish, crayfish, crushed seasoning cubes, salt and pepper to your taste.

Make sure the liquid is enough to cook the rice you need. Reduce the heat, cover and leave to boil.

Add the washed rice and cook on low heat until it softens. Then turn up the heat and let it boil.

When the rice has absorbed almost all the liquid, stir with a wooden spoon and lower the heat. Add your shredded scent leaves.

If the rice is still too hard, seal the rice in with foil paper or a plastic bag and cover the pot for a few minutes until the rice is properly cooked and has absorbed all the water.

Stir properly and take off the heat.

Serve hot or sprinkle a little banga soup on top if you have any.

Foreign AffairsBulgaria Confirms Russian Gas To Be Halted by Oghene1st(op): 3:38am On Apr 27, 2022

Russian energy giant Gazprom will cease delivering gas to Bulgaria on Wednesday, the country’s energy ministry announced on Tuesday. The news comes after the Saint Petersburg firm confirmed it will also halt supplies to Poland, with both countries refusing to pay for energy supplies in rubles.

The ministry announced the news in a statement, adding that there would be no imminent need for consumers to ration their gas usage. Bulgaria relies on Russia for around 90% of its gas, with the remainder coming from Azerbaijan.

Last month, a spokesman for state energy firm Bulgargaz told reporters that, as of this summer, Azerbaijan will provide the country’s entire supply, albeit at a higher price. Further ahead, Bulgaria’s government plans to connect the country to a yet-unfinished Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal in Greece, where gas will be imported by ship, likely from the US.

News of the cutoff came shortly after Poland’s state energy company PGNiG confirmed that it too had received notification from Gazprom that the flow of Russian gas would be shut off on Wednesday. Both countries have refused to pay for Russian gas in rubles, as Moscow has demanded all “unfriendly” countries do as of this week.

Bulgaria’s current 10-year contract with Gazprom was set to expire at the end of this year, but the ministry’s statement said that Bulgargaz would not finish the contract if it had to pay in rubles, stating that the setup “poses significant risks to Bulgaria.”

Several Russian gas buyers have signaled they might be able to agree to Moscow’s demands. On Monday, Uniper, Germany’s major importer of Russian gas, said it would be possible to pay for future supplies without breaching Western sanctions.

PoliticsRe: Boro Vs Ojukwu, The Truth Story Igbos Hated To Hear by Oghene1st: 6:33am On Apr 20, 2022
AdakaBoro8:
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu is a Nigerian who fought on the opposition camp against Nigeria during the civil war.
It is safe to say he started the civil war with his declaration of a biafra as a
federation.

What many people don't know is that before this civil war, there was another, that was short lived. As a matter of fact, it lasted for only 12 days. This was led by Major Isaac Boro Adaka.

Major Isaac Boro Adaka popularly called Boro, was born on the 10th of September, 1938. He is the son of a missionary school head.

So Boro had a formal education up to the university level. As a matter of fact he was the SUG president (number one student) of the university of Nigeria Nsuka as at then.

Isaac Boro was from the oil rich land of olobiri, in present day Bayelsa. Then in 1938, those areas were all under the what is called the 'eastern region', which was then headed by the military governor, Guess who the millitary governor was? Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu. Yes our very own Ojukwu.

the capital of the eastern region was in Enugu state. Despite the fact that the Ijaw region produces the oil, they were sidelined by the Aguiyi Ironsi military led administration, Irrespective of the fact that Adaka Boro niger delta region laid the Golden egg, dim Ojukwu didn't mind or consider them.
This caused major Isaac Boro to abandon his studies in his finals, to lead an arm protest against the government of Aguiyi Ironsi, over the poor treatment melted out to his people...

before this, Ijaw elder, Dapper Biriye had moved a motion to carved the niger delta or Rivers state out of the Igbo dominated eastern region just as the Yorubas carved out the other niger deltas from their western region to have their midwest, but the Igbos rejected it...

When all political peaceful movements by Dapper Biriye went abortive, the declaration of the niger delta Republic became the only means...

Adaka Boro see the only way to freed Ijaw from the eastern region was to leave nigeria entirely, so he declared the niger delta Republic on february 29 1966,
This republic lasted only 12days because aguiyi ironsi and ojukwu ordered the whole Nigeria military strength on them...

Aguiyi ironsi the military president of nigeria and Ojukwu the military governor of eastern region killed 150 Ijaw youths and arrested Adaka Boro and sentenced him to death by hanging..

two brothers, of ironsi and Ojukwu won the short war for nigeria...unknowing to ojukwu he will also declared republic..

Boro was in prison waiting for his death, but
God heard the cry of Ijaws as counter coup from North killed aguiyi ironsi and brought Yakubu Gown to power, released Adaka Boro from prison... not did Gowon released Adaka Boro, he also created the Rivers state out of the Eastern region for Adaka Boro and his people... This was a dream come true for Adaka Boro..

Later the Igbos massacred in The north and the creation of the old River state out of the eastern region by Yakubu Gowon made ojukwu and his people got angry, because they felt, the oil rich Oloibiri was no longer part of their eastern region again.....

The frustrated ojukwu got angry at Gowon for breaching the aburi accord, by creating the oil Rich Rivers state out of his eastern region, so ojukwu without blink of eyes declared the Republic of biafra and forcefully included the already created Adaka Boro's Rivers state...

This criminal act from ojukwu made Boro got angry, so with help from Gowon, Boro trained his 1,000 Rivers soldiers of Ijaw extraction and fought the biafran forces.
Boro and his 1,000 Rivers men got lot of success in the war as they killed thousands of biafran forces and evicted all biafrans out of the River state...

10 months into fight Adaka Boro already got lot of success. he recaptured all territories captured by the conquest biafran forces in River state.... but the mighy hero was killed on a mysterious circumstances at Okrika...

No one know who killed the hero, opinion were divided as some said it was a lone biafra soldier who shot him from hideout, while others said it was adekunle Benjamin the nigeria military leader who ambushed him for jealous of his success in the war...

Who really killed the hero?

Adaka Boro was not just hero but a prophet because he saw today nigeria which everyone refused to see...

Adaka Boro was not just hero and prophet but also a saviour..

Adaka Boro will forever lives in our heart.

He freed us from biafra and the demonic eastern region.

Adaka Boro will forever be remembered in history.
You presented it as if East were the only people forcing others to be part of them then. For your information, before Midwest broke out of old westernern region, it was a fierce political agitation by Midwesterners like the Oba of Benin, Mariere, Osadebe, etc couple with the supremacy between western Nigeria politicians and North. The Midwest capitalised on that battle to break out of western region. Go and read about it.

The cause of the agitation was because the Yorubas were marginalising the Midwest (Edo and Delta), just as the Igbos were marginalising the ijaws then.

It is better for the minorities to be in one political zone.
FoodHow To Prepare Ukodo (urhobo Delicacy) by Oghene1st(op): 8:57pm On Apr 18, 2022
Ukodo is a yam and unripe plantain dish of the Urhobo people of Nigeria. The Itsekiri people of the Niger Delta also make a similar dish called Epuru. It is essentially a pottage, a stew of meat and vegetable with its base as the Nigerian pepper soup. It is usually used for marriage and burial ceremonies or as breakfast, particularly during the cold season.

It is sometimes cooked with lemon grass and potash. A poem by the Nigerian Chovwe Inisiagho-Ogbe describes both the ingredients and the process of cooking Ukodo in a light-hearted way.

Wadoo!!!! Is it just me or did the weather get chilly all of a sudden. This is the best type of weather for one of my favorite south-south recipes….Ukodo. Usually, this is the type of meal i take and sleep off afterwards under my thick duvet cover while the cold air mixed with the irresistible aroma ukodo leaves the house with brushes through my face and nostrils while i sleep…sweet lazy morning all the way.

Ukodo is typical spicy traditional breakfast native to the Urhobo tribe of delta state in the southern part of Nigeria. It is simply a pepper soup dish which consists of unripe plantain and yam (sometimes cooked with lemon grass and potash), and is believed to be the perfect companion on a wet cold day. The Itsekiris, also of the Niger Delta call their version Epuru while the igbo version is known as Ji mmiri Oku. When preparing ukodo, i usually prefer the use of goat Goat meat or dried fish because it gives it a nice native taste and smell unlike chicken and cow meat. It’s really simple to make as i’m about to show you below.
How to make Ukodo (Urhobo yam & plantain pepper soup pottage)

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: About an hour
Category: Nigerian soups
Region: Niger-Delta, Nigeria

Ingredients:

•3 medium sized plantain “Unripe”

•4 Large Slices yam

•1 kg Goat meat (with intestine & liver)
•2 cooking spoons Palm oil
•1 small bunch lemon grass/ scent leaves
•2 tbsp. crayfish/ dry prawns
•1 teaspoon dried pepper
•2 seeds “Iwo/Erhe (itshekiri) – Dry roast and set aside
•1 seed Gbafilo
•2 Uda Uwentia “Negro pepper” (Simply Uda or Enge) – Remove the seeds & discard
•1 tsp. Ataiko
•1 tbsp Irugege
•2 Seasoning cubes
•1/2 teaspoon Native salt

Directions:

Step 1: Wash the goat meat thoroughly, place in a pot and sprinkle a tsp. of salt and cook for about 15 minutes on low heat. Set aside to later use.

Step 2: Peel the yam and cut into two halves then immerse in a bowl of water and rinse. Peel and cut the plantain into three pieces then – set aside.

Step 3: Place all the local spices (Iwo/Erhe (itshekiri), Gbafilo, Ataiko, Irugege) in the dry part of the blender and grind for a few minutes.

Step 4: Add some water to the pot containing goat meat. Place on the burner and allow to boil for about 5 minutes. Add 1-2 tbsp. of the ground spices, uda, crayfish, pepper and crushed seasoning. Stir and taste the soup. Leave to cook further till you start to perceive the aroma.

Step 5: Add plantain and yam. Add the lemon grass bunch then reduce the heat and allow the ukodo to cook for about 15 minutes. Discard the lemon grass bunch after this.

Step 6: Transfer the Yam and plantain into a dish, then pour the liquid into another plate. Pour red palm oil into a small clay bowl and serve. The palm oil can also be mixed with the ukodo liquid and used to eat the yam and plantain or the yam/plantain could be dipped in the oil and eaten while the ukodo liquid is sipped like pepper soup.

Foreign AffairsCountries Supporting Russia or NATO On Ukraine Invasion by Oghene1st(op): 9:37pm On Mar 19, 2022
The 'invasion' of Ukraine as used by western media as against 'demilitarization' used by Russia is the recent security battle between Russia and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) over alleged Ukraine's (Russia's neighbour) interest to join NATO.

Since the war, some countries have made their support to Russia or loyalty to NATO obvious except for a very few nations that do not wish to be on the black book of the super powers involved in the ongoing battle in Ukraine.

LIST OF COUNTRIES SUPPORTING RUSSIA

All the BRICKS countries are solidly behind Russia in the ongoing war in Ukraine but they stylishly made it clear that what they are after is resolving the conflict by considering the grievances of both nations (Russia and Ukraine). They recognised the fact that Russia has a good reason to embark on the war, so their main cry for resolution is handcuffed on the expectation that Ukraine should maintain a neutral status by not joining NATO. The nations are:
