Had that on a friends set up with a single lnb.. A 90cm dish. I mean ses 5 and 7e, It all depends on the quality of the dish.

The problem with most of the fibre dish sales here is that it is not petalized and therefore transporting it over a long distance becomes a problem. Within the fta community. It is a great price but transport adds more to the cost thereby rendering the actual cost irrelevant. It is understandable that a great dish like this with such a low price has been on offer for a very long time and yet has not found a buyer.

Seems people are twisting the two sizes of the jack and by this getting the wrong pricing. The super jack are of the two sizes. The smaller one which can be efficiently used for light 1.8m dish and aluminium net dish. And the biggest one usually used for BUD dish in the market. My take is that 8k can not buy that in the market. So it is better you clearly define the type of jack you need to avoid sending it back to your supplier.

Fibre? Detachable or whole unit? I suppose that you should be looking within your locality or state since transporting a whole undetached dish will be a hectic job. Getting a dish to buy is not the problem. It is transporting it to your location. Had once had cause to buy a dish from PH. But the cost of transporting it made the deal impossible. Most times. The seller does not put into equation what it will cost you the buyer to transport it to your final destination since that will at the end of the day add to the real cost of the dish.

The truth is foreign dishes perform better than local ones. To be equal in size, the local one has to go bigger. What I mean is this a 3m foreign Dish will perform like some 4m local dishes.
Someone with a 2.6m foreign Dish is getting some ku tps more than my local 3m Dish. Also I notice the cband in this my local Dish is as powerful as the foreign 2.6m dish

You can quote the tps instead of generalizing the whole thing. The said dish sizes. Are they at the same location? I can see how fair you were on your comparison. When you were making comparison between a 3m local dish and a 3.8m foreign dish. Was that a fair comparison. Concrete and proven evidence is what we need here and not hearsay.

And you need foreign dish. Even some of our local fabricators are equally in the mistake of running each others down. The bottom line is. Is foreign manufactured dish not horned from the same mathematical equation of PARABOLA. Is theirs different from our own equation? I am yet to see who has come to say yes. Mine is foreign dish. Therefore i get this sat which the same size of local dish was not able to get. Running others down just for business gain is to me childish. The most scientific study we can do is this. Some of our senior colleagues has 4m or above sizes. The simple answer. At your location. Do you get this sat and tps. And from that we make our conclusions. Instead of doing these wild goose chase. Local dishes are good. If your specification is not up to what your location needs. Increase your dish size and stop blaming local fabricators. 3m foreign made dish can not perform magic and do the work of 4m dish just because it is foreign made. On the issue of local offset dish. I am yet to see one. Even our brother East African sat forum. They are yet to have a local fabricator of any form of satellite even though offset dish is a satellite dish of choice among them.

12015v is on ses 5 while 12728v is on 7e, If you are lucky. You can have both on a dish. That depends on the quality of the dish though. Has both on a single dish and a single lnb.

I got only someone in Akure from that thread. Akure is about 1-1.5 hours from here.

He advised me to go for a 4m dish with jack and all. He also told me I'll need a new strong 499x decoder as my 4762 can't handle that larger dish.

He says I'll need to look for a local dish fabricator to help me create the dish too. So I'm now searching...

He promises that I'll be able to watch everything and anything on fta if I do it. He was also kind to suggest that qsat decoder bit I didn't take the option. It involves some hacking into dst* which I don't intend to do. I don't want to steal another man's sweat just as I wouldn't want mine to be robbed of me. He understood my stance.

I'm grateful to him.
