hello This is just my own five cents. A government gazetted land is that which has been certified as free from acquisition by government but this in itself can not constitute a root of title. what this means is that the said plots of land may actually have been acquired by government with its attendant ratification wahala, also a power of attorney is not a valid evidence of title neither is it a conveyance of same so having a power without the required legal backing amounts to mere paper. My advice to u is to CONSULT A LAWYER to investigate the said property and its history before u part with your money |

Hey wats up im a young lawyer and mi name is akpor and ur story touches me wat u shld do is that u draft a quit notice with ur lawyer to all d tenants makeing sure u give the appropiate notice period(very important) as if u make a mistake here na trobule u dey find and state that the house is to be renovated for u and ur siblings personal use(that is the law in lagos so u wont have to look for additional accomodation for them)and after that a notice of intention to recover possesion .you renovate d house a lil and let it out again. The fhc has the right to order payment from a government account ,what d md should have done wat to show evidence that there were no funds in the account to avoid contempt(jail time is 6 mths) and contrary to what the highly paid praise singer said appeal to the coa is and would never amount to a reversal of the fhcs order.
