Yes we accept, you must accept who you are first before you can aspire for greatness, rather having our heads in the cloud like you. And for your shout of performance according to global standards I wont be surprised if your own family members wont vote for you if you contest for an elective post. Very easy to condemn when you dont have the slightest clue of the challenges of leadership.

We are always too naive to challenge the status quo. This mediocre acceptance mentality has kept us in this situation as a nation 56 years on.

are you a Nigerian, or have you ever lived in Nigeria? every society has its peculiarities. people like you often use America or Britain as a parameter in all your judgements. Nigeria neither America nor Britain. several governors have come and gone since 1999 without doing anything tangible, in stead, looted their respective states and heavens didn't fall. therefore, when you see a semblance of performance from any of them, nothing wrong in appreciating such. it doesn't make you less sophisticated or a sycophant.
This long epistle just to justify roundabout redesign.

My grouse is with this project please. What will it really take to clear the large circle there that the people will start praising Ambode for, not that he is constructing a new road or anything.

No need praising a Governor in this instance unless we are just some politically hypnotised hallelujah boys

The Ondo Governor said “It is incumbent upon me as Governor to facilitate a smooth transition between my government and the incoming one. I will, to this end, provide the ambience for a smooth and seamless transition process.”
Give it up for Olusegun Mimiko on this one, this is highest level of statemanship www.nairaland.com/attachments/4546365_screenshot20150419at3_11_50pm_jpegcffbea97fb3d5340b7d6772e890515af

Does he really have a choice?
Statements like this make good intentions seems ordinary.

We have had situations in this country where an incumbent Governor from another party was not ready to ensure seamless transition to a new party.

Try and see the good in this move

Hater spotted. Yes, in the land of the blind, a one-eyed man is indeed king. So yes in a non-performing state like Nigeria, the likes of Ambode must be celebrated as again the chelsea drinking likes of Fayose. We celebrate what we have so they can be encouraged to do more

Sycophant spotted. No in the land of sycophants and mediocrity celebrants, politicians throw little crumbs like "roundabout redesign" on the media and they shout Uhuru.

We need to get our priorities right and make government accountable! Why were they voted in the first place?

To be praised for roundabouts abi?

People should just soft pedal on heaping praises on Lagos governors and have some deep retrospection on what they are supposedly touted as doing. Like this is just a roundabout for petes sake

It is pretty easy to get any Lagos governor to seem like he/she is working because of the way Lagos is strategically positioned within the media, intellectual, creative and economic sphere.

During Fashola time, it was as if BRF was the best thing in Lagos since ewa agoyin and bread but immediately the chips are down the reality of the hype and incompetence came bare.

Abegii!

What is the difference between Office of the Wife of the President and the First Lady again?

The lies this government has fed Nigerians with can be enough to cure HIV

You are emotional. He didnt swindle. He received alert and withdrew the money for the old woman who needed cash for medical reason. What he needs to do is proof the woman exists, the hospital exists with a confession from hospital rep and a payment receipt from the hospital. Then watch how the hunter becomes the hunted. I dont use conscience, I simply play smart in a very risky world, where dogs eat dogs.
You believed that old woman story tells much about your naivety? If you notice the tone of the OP's WhatsApp message admitting you are really smart as you claim you are will only tell you he was very diplomatic from the get go with his responses and he supposedly felt asking for those pictures will only succeed in pushing him over the top which tends to be true.

You have even shot yourself on the foot already with that line of argument

Don't justify scam with the being smart mantra. It is over flogged already.

Very disappointing comment from you I must say!

This tells much about how crooked and dubious your inner-self is.
Instead of you to dwell on the dishonest means of literally swindling someone else's money, you are more focused on brandishing libel cases.

The heart of man in apparently wicked.
What justification??

It took me six years to graduate from the higher institution, which shouldn’t ordinarily exceed four years. Then, ASUU strike took a year off our academic calendar, and the rest one year was used in getting my grades and data computed by lecturers in my department. Challenge them as to why you should remind them of the jobs they needed to do, then, you begin to hear things like “We own the school, and we do as we please.” Imagine a scenario where a lecturer does not compute your grades at the end of each examination and expects you to remind him so the work will be done
This pretty much sums up the typical Nigerian university academic calender.

Nigerian Education System is dead, comatose is an understatement!
