A former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, on Thursday advised the Federal Government against the use of force in quelling the Biafra agitation in the South East.
The former governor also called for the release of all Biafra activists currently in various jails, many of them being tried for different crimes. One of such activists is Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, who is being tried for treason and has been in detention for over a year.
Mr. Obi gave the advice in Owerri after a closed-door meeting with Imo Governor Rochas Okorocha.
According to him, the use of force or the continued incarceration of Biafra activists is not a solution to the growing agitations.
“The federal government should, rather than apply force, engage the players in dialogue as a means of finding a lasting solution to the problem, especially the issue of Biafra.
“I have warned against the use of force against Biafra agitators, the Federal Government should be open to continued dialogue, which is what we are supporting.
“That is why I am here today to thank Gov. Rochas Okorocha for his efforts in managing the Biafra challenge in recent time.
“Our people won’t support the use of force against those agitating for Biafra; it is a very delicate matter that must be treated with caution.

“As a matter of fact, the federal government should release all Biafra activists that are currently in detention to begin the process of meaningful dialogue,” Obi said.

Peter Obi is campaigning with productivity mantra (from consumption to production), what is the focal point of Tinubu's campaign?

Wise people know that Tinubu is a political colossus and a great performer. Tinubu cannot rule for Buhari. And alliance was formed between the two. Whatever Buhari did is not Tinubu’s fault. And APC has done better than PDP. All the infrastructure going on in the country were not there in PDP era. Most notable is second Niger bridge.

Party is not ruling. It’s human beings that rule. And each human being is different from each other. Tinubu is far better than Buhari. That’s whom we want. Not Obi who was in PDP that destroyed NIGERIA. He was part of committee that sold NEPA to cashless individuals. And now he is asking where is the light?

1. It will revive the economy.

2. Boko Haram will be history in six months.

3. Two million jobs will be created every two years.

4. Two million public housing will be built every two years.

5. Nigeria will stop the importation of fuel in two years.

6. Naira will be at par with the dollar.

7. 50,000 megawatts of electricity will be generated and distributed.

8. So many refineries will be built.

9. Restructuring will take a center stage.

10. Unemployed Nigerians will be paid an unemployment allowance.

11. Children will be fed free twice a day.

12. Internally displaced people will be returned and resettled to their homes.

I have studied all the candidates and I must admit that H.E Atiku is more prepared. Apart from that, I believe that only Atiku can help us remove the wicked regime of APC. Atiku and PDP are the only ones that can make a president of Southeast extraction a reality.

I am also supporting Atiku because he's the only one that looks like a nationalist, of all the candidates. Example, it's only Atiku that has people from different regions supporting him on social media, check their names. You'll see Ifeanyi, Seun, Abubakar, in fact, most of his supporters on social media are not Northerners. However, 99.9% of Tinubu's supporters are Yoruba while 40% of Peter Obi's supporters are Igbos (Obi comes 2nd after Atiku)

Even though I love Obi and want him to win, I must tell myself the truth - Obi can't win next year’s election. After Atiku, yes, he has a great chance of winning. But if Tinubu wins (God forbid), then Igbos would have to wait for 16 years with anti-Igbo policies from the government but if Atiku wins, we'll only wait for 8 years or even 4 if Atiku refuses to go for 2nd term, and still enjoy his government as he's a nationalist and a friend of Ndigbo.

My family members have also joined the Atikulate train! Cos Atiku is the solution to our problems

We are voting candidate not party. Isn't that what you Obituary people have been hammering about?

So if I am voting personality called Tinubu, why should I be bothered about the party he is contesting under?

Your Obituary lord few month ago was in PDP, the party that destroyed Nigeria and squandered everything that made us look up to Buhari who turned out to be another failure.

So if you won't judge Obituary Pandora with the Jonathan government why should you judge Asiwaju with Buhari government?
