Northern institute of Technology Management (NITHH) sent me a mail saying i should consider applying for the double degree programme (MBA along with the MSC chem eng i have already been admitted for). I am very interested, but i would like to know how this would affect my plans, so I am hoping there is someone here that is on the double degree program or knows something about it to advise me. I understand i will be taking the MBA part time during evenings and weekends. I was planning to use that time to hustle and make money, so i just want to be sure that I am doing the right thing if i free money making for the potential benefit of getting an MBA along with my MSC (assuming there are any benefits) pls bros, break this down for me and let me know if this dual degree is worth considering in the long run. Afterall, na to get good job and stay long term be the aim, not to make money to take back to naija. thanks, all...

Since you opened your account last year, DB should have send you an email stating your account number.. If this is the case, you dont need to use the slip given to you by the embassy. Just printout the email confirmation from DB (english Part)

1) Why should you wait to fund.. as a matter of fact, its advisable to apply for visa interview first. and if the funds is ready before or after your interview, you can go ahead to fund.

2) If you attend the interview and receives an email within 1-3 days to fund your blocked account so as to complete the process, then you can arrange for the funding. I have seen a rare case where someone was asked to fund, yet he was denied Visa. Since you're going for winter, I doubt if the embassy will schedule a date for you yet.. probably by May/June (I may be wrong).

fellow Nigerians...I need help again o...TU dortmund has confirmed admission for WS 2016 process systems engineering for yours truly. I opened my blocked account last year and i have the embassy slip, but I have not funded (still trying to gather the money for the form A application).

1. Should I wait till i fund before applying for an interview date at the embassy, or should I do the interview with the Account opening slip they gave me?
2. if i do my interview with the slip, will i have a limited time to fund account before visa is rejected? if so, how much time is this?

Boss, I doubt any bank will do form A for you for such a small amount like you plan to pay for UniAssist. I had to send my money to a friend in germany using western union, and then he helped me pay. I suggest you try this.

Regarding something i read earlier...Abeg any heroes in the house wey don enter Germany with any detailed info on how to scale through german education system? yeah i know winter is still far and all, but na dis house sef advise man to learn german and i am doing so. never too early to learn what to expect on the course.

1. is the learning model tough? can someone kindly describe what one can expect on a typical day?
2. how are you graded? is it test and exam like nigeria? does practical work and term paper and stuff like that include in the score?
3. person mention enter top 5 and chop scholarship. is this in every state and every uni?
4. is the path to phD fairly sure or completely sure? this is a guy that (stupidly) went to UK first, and was not given the chance to even finish course on a technicality, and i will really like to pursue research, so this is important to me.

I will like some nairaland superheroes to take time and help us to answer these questions...please do not be angry if some of these have been answered before. You know say thread long, and it is not evertything one can catch...Danke very mush

wow...dont even know what to say right now. still gathering my 1.8M, only to hear i should be gathering my 2.8M...it is not official though. i have checked and confirmed that. it was a plan that was proposed at the cbn/bankers meeting. I hope it is not implemented sha. of all the people demanding forex, students are the only ones not using it for financial gain. Pligrimage people use it for business, BDCs use it to destroy nigerians, importers speculate on it and trade with it. yet, na student dem wan cancel join all the other bad eggs. well, winter 2016 is still far. I will put it all in the hands of God. wetin man go do...i dont have the funds to do it now, so na to leave matter for baba God...

Concerning the issue about wife/girlfriend joining you while as a student in Germany, i mailed the embassy and got a reply.

It says, my girlfriend can join me throughout the entire duration of my studies in Germany but i have to wait until we get married before applying. (Meaning if you're already married, you have no problem).

On the issue of the funds needed if i'm to come to Germany with my girlfriend, it says it will be determined by the Alien office, so i have to apply first.

Can she work? Yes.

My issues are as follows. Please help me deal with it and God bless you as you do so.

1. Una don dey shout learn german since last century. I plan to go in winter 2016 Godwilling, so I am trying to learn as advised by the house. problem is, I cant seem to get a teacher. Goethe no get space for me till april 9too late for me) and their teachers there keep posting me regarding private lesson. Can anyone refer me to a good teacher to take up my case? (pls not mr ismaila or mr musibaudeen. na dem don dey dribble me sofar)

2. I need to fund my Blocked account. Can someone pls direct me to a bank that can do form A requests ASAP? i don weak with all the bad news that I have been getting from so many banks. One lady at GTBank said she has several form A requests that have been pending for 4 months now. Please, house, help me with this info. God will help you all...

2. all opinions welcome on this next one. I have applied to schools in hamburg and aachen, and i plan to apply to more schools in dortmund and bremen. question is, which one sure pass for emplyment that omo boy can use to keep body and soul together? and if i find some work on the side, can it possibly cover my bills to the point where i dont need to significantly touch my blocked account? (will like to keep these funds so i can fulfil the financial terms of my second year of education in germany)

3. Finally and most importantly: I am a married man, and my wife plans to join me soon after i leave. she is a uk grad and works for an financial firm in nigeria currently. will she be able to work if she comes over to join me? (I will be doing an msc). I cant seem to find conclusive info on this, so I will appreciate the opinion of someone with firsthand or reliable secondhand info on this one.

see my fellow nigerians sha...person talk true talk, very few people are commenting on what he said, na vacation una dey talk of...the man said something true. Nigerians make all sorts of claims in order to get into the UK. the prisons of the country are full of nigerians. I am not saying dont complain about SaiChange's vacation, but at least speak to the issue that was raised here, not some other issue that is completely tangential to the argument. all the people that are saying why did buhari say what he said, wait until you get to an international airport and you have been thoroughly embarrassed before you say your bit, biko. only then can you understand the plight of the law abiding nigerian in a foreign country...
