sexaddict08:
checking your spam folder calls for concern. OK?
Thank you for your concern sexaddict08 but the spam thing is a personal problem on my system. A lot of valuable e-mails go into spam on my computer and I just check there from time to time.

Anyhow I think a job like this is not hard to find out if it's fraudulent or not. I've been seeing the questions, everything stated in the document is how it is in the business, and if I get picked after my trial period, it's just to wait until next week to see if I get paid or not. A fraudulent business won't pay and a legitimate one will so it's just a matter of time.

Thank you for your concern anyhow.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Tutoring Services? by ojemeka: 10:34pm On Nov 22, 2015
kikelom0 thank you so much for bringing this into my notice.

I sent my resume and application and I received the handbook and consent form. I quickly filled out the consent form and sent it back to him and since then I have already made N2,500 just answering one question. I understand what you mean officialnaija, me too can't wait for the trial period to finish so that I actually start getting my dough.

Oh, another thing for people applying is check your spam. He doesn't reply with onyenkuzi@jideokonjo, the reply comes with his personal e-mail so it can get lost in spam.

Good luck to all of us oh.

UPDATE:

Let me start by saying thank you all so much for your support, you don't know but it's really helping especially to keep me at a good position in my workplace.

FirstS2B, I took your idea up with my boss and he really liked it and commended it. We are already looking for people to partner up with and shops that may be interested in us, however he still told me to go and look for an online advertisement slot as he believes most of the market and demographic we are fishing for are prevalent on the net.

I have received and found out ad rates for: Linda Ikeji, LailasBlog, Pulse NG, Bella Naija, Miss Petite, GoldRushNews, Jaguda, NotJustOk, and Stella Dimoko...all of these are top blogs in Nigeria and as expected have very high ad rates that we cannot just afford right now especially for promotion.

What I'm trying to do now is look at lesser known sites that still seem to have good numbers, and ask for their ad rates. I'm reaching out to trezzy's blog, that1960chick, naijabliz, Jide Okonjo's blog, ketekete, and Daily Post Nigeria. Please, if you have any other upcoming blogs or sites that are doing relatively well, let me know as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for your continued support and the ones you are sure to give. Thank You.

I'll be updating as everything happens and posting in the OP so you can know what is happening, and supply any help you may have. Thank you so much again Nairalanders, I feel really blessed to have all this support. Thank You.

Full inside page(all coloured) is 15, 000 naira, inside cover page, page 3, back page or inside back page is 20, 000, all coloured.
Those are really good rates. Please if I may ask just out of curiosity, how widely read is the magazine in/around campus? Please be honest, do people really read it or it's one of those magazines the school has but nobody reads.

I'm awaiting your response, thank you.

Have you really utilized Nairaland here?
Then how about Konga, jumia etc
We've been trying to advertise on all of these sites but the advertisement rates are rather expensive, that's the reason we are looking for affordable yet effective sites or blogs that can help us with advertisement which have good rates.

Thank you however for your suggestion oga, we will still be looking at trying to do something with these people.

FirstS2B:
I suggest you form Joint Ventures with other businesses. It works powerfully without costing you money. These other business owners should be selling products/services that complement your fashion products. Your customers definitely buy some other things along with what they buy from you like matching shoes & bags. You could partner with businesses selling these products so they market your products to their customers & vice versa. Sometimes, you may have an arrangement to pay yourselves commission on referrals generated for each other. It is a win-win arrangement for all parties. You could also parner with Fashion schools, fabric vendors etc. I hope you get the gist?
AH! This is a fantastic idea. Thank you so much for this honestly, we would really look into this. It's going to be quite tasking to actually find somebody that may want to help us or even partner up with us...especially somebody that is established but we'll definitely look into this. Thank you so much
BusinessHelp! I Need Advice On How To Advertise Effectively But Affordably by ojemeka(op):
Hello my fellow Nairalanders, especially those of you that have expertise when it comes to online advertisement and stuff, I need your help.

I work for an upcoming fashion company called GLC and we have been trying really hard to advertise and market our products and get good customers. We have printed out fliers, did pop-up shows, even did a fashion show but the people that have been buying from us are just familiar faces like our family and friends.

We then decided to start doing what most upcoming businesses looking for advertisement do: we started advertising our clothes and website on the comment sections of blogs, celebrity Instagram pages, and such. Although this one brought a little bit of customers, it was not worth the amount of time we were putting in because I’m sure people were just scrolling past our advertisements.

Ultimately we did Facebook and Twitter ads and although it was effective, it was relatively expensive because we are a start-up company and we don't have a lot of money on our side. We tried to see how far we could go with $20 initially but it only lasted us for 4 days on Facebook and Twitter respectively. After these 4 days of spending $40 in total, we were able to get about 380 visitors to the site and 2 buyers although they said we had about 8.4K “impressions”. It was rewarding but nowhere close to how much we spent on the site.

Now we are looking for other ways to advertise effectively but affordably. The next thing which we are currently doing right now, is looking for blogs and websites that look viable and asking for their advertisement rates. So far most of the people who have responded to us are giving us ridiculous figures and we are trying to keep on budget.

Please, any help on what we can do or websites that offer good rates?

Well, Waje was on MTV Base "Real Talk" for an interview and during the interview, confirmed that she's in a relationship and also talked about considering breast reduction.

See the full gist after the jump:

Oya so make una relaz oh, this gist sweet.

When the host asked Waje "Are you currently dating anyone?", Waje responded saying:
I don't know if it's their business and that's the truth.
When then asked, so what would be the lie, Waje said:
The lie would be no.

The second answer more or less confirms say she dey date na. Lol. I'm happy for you oh Waje.

Later on in the interview, Waje is aked "Would you ever consider plastic surgery?" to which she replies: "Yes!". The interviewer further asked Waje where she would get the surgery done and she pointed to her boobs.

The interviewer then asked "Would you like it bigger or smaller?" to which Waje responded:
If I make it bigger, what do you want to see? As me and you are seated now, don't you like that you're seeing your face. You want it to cover the screen?

She then laughed and confirmed saying "Smaller".

I'm sure she wouldn't actually go through with it, but just in case, Waje leave your breast alone oh. Nobody dey complain. Lol.

So Tiwa Savage has officially made her return back into the Nigerian music industry with the release of Mavin Records' new song titled "JantaManta".

Well, Tiwa and the entire Mavin crew made their way over to the club to celebrate the release of their new single and as you can see from the pictures and videos after the jump, they are having a wild time.

CelebritiesNigerian Blogger, Jide Okonjo, Defends Nigerian Prostitutes President by ojemeka(op): 8:22pm On Oct 25, 2015
He really went in. Who are the Nairalanders that posted those statements he quoted?

So by now you must have heard that the the president of the Nigerian Prostitutes Association is dead. If you haven't let me fill you in before I talk about the rubbish I've been reading online.

So, according to the Daily Post, the President of the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes, Jessica Elvis passed away on Sunday afternoon. According to the report, Elvis died in an undisclosed hospital in Benin after battling a protracted heart-related disease.

The Secretary General of the association, Tamar Tion is the one who confirmed the story in a text message to the Daily Post where she wrote:
Hi Ameh, want to inform you that we just lost our President, Jessy this afternoon. She died after battling heart-related disease for years. It is a sad loss to NANP and we pray God to give her family and 15-year-old daughter the fortitude to bear the loss.

This is sad news as this woman despite her career path was a mother who was doing what she could to provide for her 15 year old daughter.

Now I am not a supporter or promoter of selling your body for money under any circumstances, but I have met a couple of people in my life, and I have heard a number of stories where people have literally no other chance at survival than to sell sex for money...they don't choose it because they want it or enjoy it, rather they choose it because that is the only means of survival.

Just like in most jobs, you get into the industry and you start making money. The money gets sweet and you are seeing that the money is taking you and your family day in, day out, and by some type of way, you and your family are surviving. As expected, you would continue to work in that business with the hopes of getting promotion, there is no soul in this world that just want to remain in one spot for the rest of their life.

Luckily for Jessica, she advanced in her business and one way or another, found herself at the top of her industry, doing interviews and making some good cash for her and her family.

If she genuinely loved selling her body for more, or she only said it to sell her market is unknown to anybody but herself, and the fact that somebody can see news like this and not only celebrate the news but also bash this mother that was trying to find a way for her child to survive, is just saddening. Lemme post some messages I read on Nairaland.

she died a hoe?
Lol, straight ticket to hell. Finally, her pussay go rest undecided Say hi to Michael Jackson and wittney hosten for me abeg.
Her coffin should be in shape of a very thick dick or something tongue

After the ragge play blues, the blues the blues
After prostituting comes judgment,judgment judgment
Hell fire here they come, they come they come.

Unfortunately, she sleeps alone. Hope a male corpse was placed side by side with her, just incase she needs company.

And these are just 3 oh! On this Sunday like this! After everybody has gone to church and prayed for their hustle to better? After everybody has been saying don't judge? Haba now!

The fact that somebody would just write very insulting and reductive things like this about another human being because of the job she could find...it's, it's somehow.

Did the woman tell any of these people commenting that she didn't want to be a banker? Or a teacher? As if we all don't know how hard it is to find job in Nigeria especially when you have children to provide for?

If you have never been in a situation where you have to choose between prostitution and literally putting the life of you and your child at risk, nna mehn you have no right whatsoever to talk.

Rest In Peace Jessica Elvis.

In a recent interview with www.jideokonjo.com during her "A Month With Gogowe", Nigerian singer opened up to Jide about her relationship status.

Jide asked Gogowe saying:
Let's talk boys. You are a very beautiful young lady and I'm sure that you have a couple of young men falling head over heels for you...is there any special somebody in your life? Or is your music keeping you warm right now? What's the situation?
To this, the beautiful 21 year old singer answered:
Thanks for the compliment but I don’t see anyone falling head over heels o! lol. I don't want to be annoying and say “I’m married to my music” even if i’m so tempted to say that. Anyways here you go: There’s no “special somebody” in my life.
