Dis NLanders una go kill person with laff. I just eat Sahur for fasting sey make I manage read thread na hin I see yabbings on top MissKiffy matter. cheesy
MissKiffy, like some "reasonable" advice aforementioned, u need not be worried about how he tagged u to his dad. Alot of ladies have been called "fiancee" "afesono" "wife-to-be" and still got booted out. Just see it as his own cultural manner of sending the msg to his dad and u r in for keeps. The most important thing is to be adorned with the band and white gown on that big day. Stay positive and be prayerful if he is ur choice.

Pets / Re: What Breed Is This Dog, Pls? by ojeycombo(m): 2:00pm On Mar 04, 2015
Which one is this "Ilasa" that is being used indiscriminately? The real pronunciation should be 'Ihasa' - a "bark lion sentinel dog" which makes it a reference alarm in historical use. Then for the dog you displayed, is a Terrier (a breed of scottish and Nordick). Thank me later. wink

Career / Re: Why You Should Not Be A Banker - A Bank's Stakeholder by ojeycombo(m): 11:50am On Feb 27, 2015
Ephemmm:

Friend, being an outsourced staff is different from being a real professional staff of a bank. As a Transaction Officer, Teller, Customer Service Officer, Secretaries, Security Officer etc you are an operational staff and there is likelihood that your Vendor take higher per cent of your salary.
You are not entitled to some benefits like - promotions, profit sharing and some allowances. I know of a GM that collect 30m as profit sharing for the year 2014 not to talk of his salary.
Get a job from Access Bank or Zenith as a professional staff and you will come here to testify to the authenticity of this claim.

So on point...The guy that asked which bank pays a monthly 250k is not keeping abreast to developments in the banking sector. Banks are in a competitive era where they compete in terms of market capitals and salary structures. without mincing words, a typical A-list bank in Nigeria pays nothing less than N200k monthly with some crazy mouth-watering allowances. Trust me coz i exist in this profession. Banks pay well and you get to work your ass out. plz Ops, there is no job without those factors you enumerated, however in different degrees. But that does not mean you should discourage prospective lads on securing a mouth-watering bank job with its imminent impacting knowledge that can span you a lifetime opportunity. A manager level in my bank earns like 900k monthly (after the current restructuring). No money biko!!! work for a while and set up urself...gaskia!

Romance / Re: I Beat My Girl Today by ojeycombo(m): 12:52pm On Mar 06, 2012
PART 2:
, she was so angry she asked i got up and tell her the eaxct truth. i felt a little off balance coz i was down. i insisted we spoke about it the next day. Take note, the time here is about 1am, and i was supposed to get up @ 4:30am in preparation for work. I work on the island and live in Ogba. you can imagine how tough it was for me. when i saw that she is not ready to burge to my plea, i asked what she wanted me to say again, after she had sent the text, and gotten her expected response. i was only but smiling when i received 2-HOT SLAPS on my cheek! embarassed saying "I am talking seriously and you are laughing at me". O mo! the sleep clear one time!! i saw starts mehn!!! that kind of slap that is given to armed-robbers. I didnt touch her; i just went back to the bed, coz i was feeling rili dizzy. As if that was not enough, she went to wear i hung my Suits (as a Banker), packed it all, opened the door and soaked them inside a dirty bowl of water. i ran after her and quickly removed them from her hand so they don't get entirely soaked. I was drained that night, i swear! i still cautioned myself from reacting.

Guess what she did again, she took that SIM card and chewed it ( not so bad for an angry lady though), went to some of my Trousers on the hanger, pciked a new blade, and tored them neatly. about 7 of it. She smashed my DVD player and Play Station 3 game on the floor.  cry sad i still didnt touch her. i quickly grabbed her and asked if she was hypnotised or in a trance or something. She pushed me away. When i later checked the time, it was already 4am in the morning. i couldn't sleep anymore. I went to have my bath, picked one of the damped suits and left her while she was already realising her "madness". I was all messed up in the office throughout that day,

Till today, she and a lot of friends have been begging me to forgive her. All i do is just smile and continue my daily activities of a better tomorrow. I really loved her, but she has abused that feeling. It does not mean i should kill her. Your greatest judge is your conscience.

So, Nairaland dudes, what would you have done in this situation is it the financial "set back" on things she destroyed no matter how small it is, PATIENCE and WISDOM bro. that is the name of the game, if u need to "survive" smiley Hasta lavista!!!
Romance / Re: I Beat My Girl Today by ojeycombo(m): 12:27pm On Mar 06, 2012
Op, people will always have diversed views to issues like this. However, one thing you should know his this, "PATIENCE" is the mother of all virtue (i know that maxim is stale). Quite frankly, you were stretched beyond your elastic limit; and you got irritated in the process. But beating your lady in the feat of anger could do more harm than good. i sha knw sey girls get bad mouth and dem fit mumu u, grin but it doesnt mean you should use the "iron" fist on that tender creature angry If you want to box and flex muscles, come to daddy then angry Having said that, we can not continue to wallow in who did what or what warranted what. You need to call your woman to order. Apologise where necessary, placate her indignation and appease her sincerely. Shed off your ego and be that "REAL" man she fell in love with. As Killz right put, we dont even know if u were the Offender in the first place. therefore, you should know the best way to "catch" her back, unless you dont Love her anymore, Babe Beater! tongue grin

You think she frustrated you, let me give you a short story, and you tell me what you would have done in that situation:
Last year my girl was suspecting another girl with me. Quite frankly i know the girl in question liked me to a fault, but i never entertained any reason to date her. One night, i was even having fever and insomnia, i had to take sleeping drugs to enable me have a good rest in preparation for the work week. My girl picked up my phone and seat the girl a very romantic text msg in this form "hi Swthrt, i feel like making love to you this night. Been longing to rili feel you deeply" (abeg if u never pass 18 no read o tongue); and the lady replied "I can imagine you handling my b**bs and getting deep, ". You can imagine the rest of it. Anyway, my girl was so infuriated that she woke me up with a hard slap on the back, accusing me of infidelity, PART 1. (To be continued) cool

Why don't u thnk he can do it in UI,ABU or any of the other "big Unis"? Is it because the lecturers won't give him the grade he deserves or because he's not smart enough? Victor is a smart youngman, so are many graduates of CU, the Uni actuali let's u bag a degree with the ACTUAL scores/grades u get in each paper, no lecturer victimizes cos they don't have their own 1st class or 2:1. So stop hating.

yeye, abi what is that suffix in your name? angry No one is "hating" nobody. Read my comments properly before replying. abi u chop kpekus overnight? tongue i aint gonna reiterate the quality of the Graduates from this schools. Given though, some of this schools i higlighted are in comatose, whilst the likes of the Convenants are brimming good. Be that as it may, there is a wide gap between graduates of this schools. A Graduate from Convenant and its likes are most likely to be drafted and engaged in the Banking sector, coz "arrangee" mata don dey ground. You can't see such CVs in Multinationals/Government parastatals/other relevant sectors where conventional Graduates are vying. Fact!!! Forget your argument of Lecturers this and that, all those combined creates in a Graduate the strength and resilience to withstand the thorns of life,
As they say in ABU, a 1st-Class graduate of Babcock/Convenant is equivalent to a 2.2 Graduate in that school. tongue Fileeee!!!! grin

As much as i say "Nice one", i am still not impressed. undecided My respect still goes to the UNILAG guy that graduated with a CGPA of 4.98 in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. He had a history of ND - Lower credit and HND - Upper credit from the famous Yaba College of Technology, wink before proceeding to UNILAG to finish his degree. what a feat!!! (check Lindaikeji blog of last week for more info about this guy). That is what i call a "Genius"! Not one mushroom University that produces a supposed 3rd-class graduate of the conventional schools of UNILAG, UNIBEN, Ife, UI, ABU as their 1st class. Abeg!!!!! angry tongue

Family / Re: For The Ladies: Moving Out Of Your Parent's House, Yay Or Nay? by ojeycombo(m): 12:40pm On Sep 16, 2011
Poster, to be candid with u, threr is nothing wrong in living independently because of the benefit to do alot of things on your own and shapening your life better; and of course simulating all the training your parents have induced into you, especially your mum. However, some factors might negate such a decision, of which you have to consider thoroughly before implementing.

1. Economic imbalance: how do you want to cope (as some peeps have articulated) financially? how do you intend renting the apartment? even if your parents or anyone rents it for you, what about the overheads and other spendings?

2. Security: you need to understand that Nigeria as a whole is not safe. especially for a lady who now decides to live alone. worse will be, if you are located in a violent-prone area; worst of it is if you are a lady that is enchanting and you sub-consciously call for attention. my dear, eyes go dey on top u o. fact!

put all this into consideration before makingany decision. no one would decide for you. just consider the premises highlighted by everyone. good luck! wink smiley
