Hello All,
Decided to share this here to help someone. Finished filling and submission of my DS160 June 23rd. Paid MRV June 24th and went on to book appointment but only saw dates in 2024 and no date for Interview Waiver which I qualified. Was checking the apointment portal regularly but was getting no appointment available IW. Then I read somewhere here that IW dates will be available from 1st November and so Iput in my calender to check on that date. It was a long wait from August or so. 1st November, I logged on still no date but it took me to click something that i guessed sent an email to them. 10th November(a Thursday), got an email that I should log into my appointment portal and book appointment. But two days only 14th and 15th November available. No other dates was available 2022 and even 2023. Booked 14th, which was a Monday for 12noon.
On the appointment day, I raised to Walter Carringhton and was waiting for my 12noon slot. 11:45am, I approached the security at Walter Carringthon and was scanned, and got through to a Long table. Then the next big news was released, "You are to do your submission at DHL Office, 75 Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, they are waiting for you" Just picked my envelope and head up to Ikeja. Got there at the nick of time as it was almost 1pm and collection stops 1pm. Dropped it successfully and head back to base.
On 18th November," Your document(s) have been collected from the US Embassy/Consulate" in my mailbox and was repeated on 20th. It was not clear to me and so I went to document pick up location. Behold my passport is back and -----------it was approved! Follow me Thank God ooo.
What is the learning here ; patience is key, decisions already made based on your DS160 among other things and lastly Baba God is involved.

I am still reviewing this Passfolio notice? This is a red flag to US as members of this forum.

For now I will try to digest the message and comment later.

Let us maintain our cool. Looking at it from the literal side, we have suffered no big loss, except for the blockchain side, where whatever we have as loss has crytalised. Our main cash will either go to the new broker or get refunded back.

It is heartbroken and very painful, but let us control our emotions. God will give us the fortitude to bear this rude shock. Since drivewealth is still involved, we should maintain our cool, as drivewealth is the main Custodian of our stocks and they are the one that has the main FITC link.

Will come back with more comment and we will continue to follow up the matter.

We really need to quickly evaluate options available and choose the one with minimal loss of investment now and possible total loss in the future.

In addition, DriveWealth will continue to handle the delivery and receipt of securities purchased or sold, receive and distribute dividends and other distributions, and process exchange offers, tender offers, and redemptions. Following the Conversion, the cash balances and security positions in your account will continue to be held at DriveWealth.

For the month immediately following the Conversion, you will receive two account statements. The first will be from Passfolio, showing account activity and the transfer of all your investment positions. The second will be from Northbound, available through the Sproutfi App, showing account activity and the receipt of all your investment positions.

Your account assets are, and following the Conversion will continue to be, protected by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (“SIPC”), which protects its members' client investments by up to US$500,000 (including US$250,000 for cash claims). For additional information and an explanatory leaflet, please see www.sipc.org.

There will be no cost to you for the transfer of your account to Northbound. Subsequent to the Conversion, if you should choose to transfer your assets to another broker-dealer, you will be charged consistent with Northbound’s Fee Schedule: US$100 per account for ACAT transfers, US$35 per position for DTC deliveries, and US$150 per position for DWAC or DRS transfers.

If you do not wish to have your account transferred to Northbound, you should promptly make arrangements to have the cash and securities in your account transferred to another firm of your choosing. FOR NOW, I don't see JB doing 50......

Not totally ruling it out because of these two personal possibilities:
** If the bull should go general in the market, instead of on selected stocks it's doing now, and.......
** We are approaching Election and Campaign period, those bunch of jokers in political positions, planning to come back for 2nd term may start to embark on Kangaroo construction projects, thus JB's financials is expected to be much better starting from Q2 maybe.

I dey back of class, still trying to locate Loco, so I fit sit beside him for some Jijo discussions.

Probability of doing #50 hinged on the completion of 2nd Niger Bridge and Lagos Ibadan Expressway(which JB has 50%), possibly FG completing payment before the year runs out. Thats what i think our gurus factored in.
