Literature / I've Learned That ...... by OJtOp2(m): 10:05pm On Jul 30, 2016
I’ve learned-
that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.
I’ve learned-
that no matter how much I care, some people just don’t care back.
I’ve learned-
that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
I’ve learned-
that no matter how good a friend is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I’ve learned-
that it’s not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.
I’ve learned-
that you should never ruin an apology with an excuse.
I’ve learned-
that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you’d better know something.
I’ve learned-
that you shouldn’t compare yourself to the best others can do.
I’ve learned-
that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
I’ve learned-
that it’s taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I’ve learned-
that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I’ve learned-
that you can keep going long after you can’t.
I’ve learned-
that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I’ve learned-
that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I’ve learned-
that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
I’ve learned-
that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I’ve learned-
that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I’ve learned-
that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
I’ve learned-
that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I’ve learned-
that sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.
I’ve learned-
that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
I’ve learned-
that just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.
I’ve learned-
that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.
I’ve learned-
that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.
I’ve learned-
that your family won’t always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren’t related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren’t biological.
I’ve learned-
that it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you are to learn to forgive yourself.
I’ve learned-
that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn’t stop for your grief.
I’ve learned-
that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I’ve learned-
that a rich person is not the one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.
I’ve learned-
that just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other. And just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.
I’ve learned-
that we don’t have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
I’ve learned-
that you shouldn’t be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I’ve learned-
that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
I’ve learned-
that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.
I’ve learned-
that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I’ve learned-
that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I’ve learned-
that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.
I’ve learned-
that it’s hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people’s feelings, and standing up for what you believe.
I’ve learned-
that people will forget what you said, and people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Religion / Some Things To Do In Lagos When The World Is Ending by OJtOp2(m): 10:24pm On Jul 16, 2016
It is believed that the world will come to an end one day. While the thought of it is enough to send tremor through your spine, it should actually be seen as a chance to try out some crazy and interesting things especially if you live in Lagos. A lot of silly things go through the mind of Lagosians but these thoughts are quickly dismissed with a wave of the hand partly because of the reactions or perhaps negative consequence.
If you are a Lagosian and you are lucky (or unlucky) to be alive when the world is ending, then it is an opportunity to do things you’ve always wished you could. You don’t have to mind as the world would end anyway.
Here are 8things you can do in Lagos when the final trumpet is being blown.

Slap A Mopol
Mobile Police or Mopol for short is a gun-carrying, fierce looking security personnel that is viewed with more reverence than an ordinary policeman. Mobile policemen carry themselves with seriousness and authority and can be very brash in their dealing. You might want to slap one as whatever he does to you won’t make a difference as the world will end.

Refuse To Pay Rent Even When Your Landlord Has A Black Belt
Nobody likes it when the landlord comes to knock on the door to request for the rent. Lagosians take offence by the seemingly embarrassing request but knowing that the landlord is right, they try to bear it. With the world coming to an end, you can decide not to pay your rent even if the landlord has a black belt. You can even scream at him and order him out if you feel that way.

Eat A ‘Balanced Diet”
Lagosians love good food and there are lots of restaurants that provide different delicacies. Sometimes, Lagosians want some combination but won’t want to make the other so as not to be considered a ‘bush person’. With end time coming, you can go to a restaurant and order for a triple combination of white, jollof and fried rice. You can top it with a plate of roasted snail and chicken. Support it with pounded yam and egusi with a bottle of chilled malt in between. Take a minute to calm down before going for yam porridge with fried plantain with a small portion of nkwobi. Don’t forget to drink a cup of yoghurt mixed with Fanta. Finish the whole stuff with pizza and hamburger coupled with a bottle of beer. Its end time anyway!

Roll Tyre Around The Street
Children in Lagos roll tyres around the street as a form of play and some even compete in a race by seeing who can run faster with the tyre. It gets to a time when it becomes silly to engage in such a game. If you are still in Lagos and the world is coming to an end, you can roll back the years by removing the tyre of your car, strip down to your knickers and roll it down the street. It’s a feeling you can’t compare with anything. Don’t mind the look on people’s face. They’ll forget about it when they get to heaven.

Drive In Reverse From Oshodi To Obalende
Lagos state takes the issue of adherence to traffic laws seriously. LASTMA officials are around the city ready to arrest any driver who fails to do what is right on the road. Sometimes, people get itchy about wanting to do silly things and end time is the period to do something akin to madness. Turn your vehicle into reverse position, rev the engine and drive in that position from Oshodi to Obalende. Increase the speed when you are on the Third Mainland Bridge. Forget about the consequence as the world is ending anyway.

Raise Your Hand To Signify You Are Against A Marriage
It is a common practice in some marriages in Lagos for the priest to ask the guests if anyone os against the union of the couple before they are joined together in holy matrimony. This is always a critical period but almost all the time, it passes away without crises. You can decide to send a jolt through the crowd by signifying that you are against the marriage of possible your friend and his wife. It is predictable that the bride might faint and pandemonium can start. You can calm their fears and say it’s just an April fool’s joke!

Turn Your Money To Fire Cracker
Who needs money in heaven? As the world is ending, you can decide to walk into your bank and withdraw all your life savings. Then roll all the notes into a gas lighter. Get lots of sticks of fire crackers and push them into the pile. Light a match and drop it on the money-made fire cracker. Sit back and watch your life savings explode. It’s a feeling that will follow you to your grave.

Tell Your Boss To Shut His Dirty Mouth Up
Once in a while, you might be at the receiving end of your boss’ tirade. This usually happens on Mondays when you get to work slightly late because of traffic and there is a lot to be done. The pressure is so much that you make a few mistakes or you don’t get the work done on time. It is normal for the boss to give you a piece of his mind. As usual, you stomach the insult but since it is end time, nothing stops you from shouting back at him and telling to shut his dirty mouth. You can walk out in anger and forfeit your salary. Who needs salary when the world is ending?

Religion / 10 Reasons Why Christians Should Be Involved Politics by OJtOp2(m): 9:39pm On Jul 09, 2016
Recent events have raised the issue, Should the
pulpit always avoid politics? It depends on what
we mean by "politics;" it demeans the pulpit to
use it for partisan politics. But here are ten
reasons why I don't think politics and religion
should (or even can) be completely separate:
1) The Word of God has something to say about
all of life, beyond just the spiritual.
My long-time pastor, Dr. D. James Kennedy, once
noted that the Church of Jesus Christ has always
been opposed to abortion---from the very
beginning. It still is.
In the last generation, abortion has become a
"political" issue. Does that mean, asked Dr.
Kennedy, we should now ignore it in the pulpit?
No, because the Bible is pro-life.
2) The Bible itself addresses the issue of
governing in different texts.
There are biblical books dealing with political
rulers---1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings, Judges.
In Genesis and in Daniel, we see godly men
serving well in pagan courts, for the good of all.
In Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2, we hear that God
has established the civil magistrate, and we are
to obey the government. In Exodus, we see Moses
rebuking Pharaoh for mistreating the Hebrews.
3) The Scriptures also teach that on occasion,
there may be a need for civil disobedience.
When the apostles were commanded to no longer
preach the gospel, Peter said that we must obey
God rather than man. If there is an either/or, then
civil disobedience can be the right path. Many
early Christians died for Christ rather than
worship the emperor, clearly a false god.
4) Jesus said, "Render to Caesar the things that
are Caesar's, and to God the things that are
God's."
Nature abhors a vacuum. Someone will be
involved in politics. Why should we abandon our
role as citizens? According to Jesus, we have a
positive duty to render certain obligation to the
state.
5) When the Church does not speak out, evil can
fill that void.
Silence in the face of evil can signal assent. We
hold up those Christians who went against Hitler
and the Nazis as heroes---not the millions who
acquiesced to them.
6) The Church is called to be salt and light. Salt
preserves and prevents decay.
Christians in society should help prevent
corruption. As goes the pulpit, so goes the nation.
7) We pray, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be
done, on earth as it is in heaven."
That doesn't mean we should try and force the
kingdom of God by use of the sword. When
"Christians" did that in times past, we are still
apologizing for it, as in the Crusades, the
Inquisition, the Salem Witchcraft trials. But it
does mean that Christians can apply biblical
principles to government that result in good for
all of us. And to be sure, someone's morality is
always being legislated. It is not a question of
"if," but of "what" and of "whose."
Christians bless everybody when we properly
apply our faith to politics.
Our Constitution was an outgrowth of the biblical
concept of covenant. University of Houston
Professor Dr. Donald S. Lutz, author of The
Origins of American Constitutionalism , said that
Americans "invented modern Constitutionalism
and bequeathed it to the world." And where did
we get it? Says Lutz: "The American
constitutional tradition derives in much of its form
and content from the Judeo-Christian tradition as
interpreted by the radical Protestant sects to
which belonged so many of the original European
settlers in British North America."
9) Politics may be the calling of some in the
congregation. Therefore, ministers should
encourage political involvement that is motivated
by the desire to serve.
When the Member of Parliament William
Wilberforce was converted in the 1780s, he
sought counsel from Rev. John Newton, an ex-
slave-trader. Should he leave politics and pursue
the ministry? Newton advised him to stay
because maybe God could use him where he was.
Wilberforce's crusade to free the slaves in the
British Empire took him 50 years and was a direct
outgrowth of his faith in Christ. I shudder to think
if one of today's "no politics" ministers had
counseled the young reborn Wilberforce. We might
still have legal slavery in the Western world.
10) Religion and morality are "indispensable
supports to our political prosperity."
So said Washington in his Farewell Address. John
Adams said, "Our Constitution was made only for
a moral and religious people. It is wholly
inadequate to the government of any other." This
was in a day when about 99% of the Americans
were professing Christians.[img]Recent events have raised the issue, Should the

When you are praising God, and you lift up your hands to the almighty God, it means you surrender to him. That is what a losing boxer does, when he is losing the fight. And when an opponent lift up his or her hand, the winning opponent must not touch that losing opponent. God is the referee in our boxing ring of life, stopping any opponent from touching us or delivering blows. Because from now on, God will fight and defend you from enemies attacks and molestations.
Career / Kogi State Governor Set To Disengage 5000 Workers? by OJtOp2(m): 11:09pm On May 23, 2016
THIS WRITE-UP OF CPS IS EXPLICIT ENOUGH TO TRUE PATRIOTS!!! The Change that is resisted: The screening is a saviour
By Kingsley Fanwo
In moments like this, I always prefer to put off the toga of office and wear the garment of the pen glory with the power of furious ink to dispel the amalgamation of falsehood peddled by those who failed to paddle the state to glory when they had the opportunity to so do.
The recently conducted staff verification exercise by the Governor Yahaya Bello administration was a bold step by a bold leader to achieve bold results. That bold step has driven some people into a frozen cold; those who have brazenly stolen our common patrimony without an iota of remorse for pillaging our resources.
As a citizen of Kogi State from a remotely Takete Ide, I share the dream of a state that will refuse to dash its resources to people who contribute nothing to its economy.
The Fake Life Can't Continue
Before now, appointment letters were shared at beer parlours and on brothel beds. Others were products of nepotistic recklessness and infantile disregard to due process.
The corruption of our payrolls at every level has dragged is to the present situation where we only go to Abuja to collect allocations that cannot even pay salaries. Our roads are bad. Our hospitals are aching. Our able bodied youth have no jobs. We cannot go on like this.
Those who will no longer be on our payrolls
Regardless of the treachery of the opponents, the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello is not interested in sacking any legitimate worker. No single legitimate worker will lose his/her job.
Some names on our payrolls do not exist in personae. They were names cooked up to defraud our dear state.
Two, some names on our payrolls also draw salaries from companies in Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Abuja and Ilorin among others. They work in the companies outside Kogi and received alerts from Kogi State.
Three, some workers forged papers to gain employment and promotion. Government cannot reward such. These party constitute part of my own definition of ghost workers.
Beneficiaries of the exercise
The ultimate beneficiaries of the staff verification exercise are in dichotomies. One, workers who have been deprived of their full pay as a result of overloaded wage bill. Now they will be relieved as the wage bill has been purged.
Two, the people on the street will begin to enjoy some level of patronage. Our workforce constitute less than 10% of our population but takes over 95% of our resources. No government can survive with that.
The funds that hitherto went to ghosts will now be freed for development. It will translate to better roads, improved healthcare, more water facilities and even more jobs. The people are the biggest beneficiaries.
Previous governments are not oblivious of this malady but they didn't summon the political will to save the situation. That Governor Yahaya Bello could brave the odds to resolve the issue once and for all will go Dow in history as a moment of epoch.
And the reactions
The reaction trailing the recent staff verification exercise is not unexpected. Change is always resisted, transparency is despised in climes where fraud benefits the lucre lords.
It is not impossible that some politicians are deploying hoodlums to disturb the peace of the land. Social network crooners are smiling to the banks as they have been paid handsomely to deride an exercise that will take Kogi to new heights.
To those who are bold to believe: Governor Yahaya Bello will not sack any legitimate worker. Promoters of ghost workers can go on to attack the Governor. Kogi people appreciate this painstaking work of freeing our resources for the benefit of our people. We stand with this brave example of fairness.
Thanks.

Politics / I Never Knew Nigerians Are Fantastically Unpredictable by OJtOp2(m): 8:34am On May 12, 2016
I NEVER KNEW
I never that I will be in a Nigeria where Nigerians will accept permanent fuel scarcity. I never knew that Bayelsa State with 13% derivation could owe 5months salaries. I never knew Oshiomole can be remotely and allegedly be associated with electoral violence. I never knew that Mimiko the Iroko will build hospitals and owe the workers salaries. I never knew that Fulani herdsmen will slaughter fellow Nigerians without arrest, detention or arraignment. I never knew that politicians could be paying their own salaries and yet owe workers. I never knew that 'progressives' could be in power without implementing fiscal federalism, electoral reforms and state police. I never knew many of the activists keeping quiet now could do so with this level of suffering in the land! I never knew that we would return so soon to a catch-22 situation. I never knew..

Politics / Obasanjo Does Not Joke With His Money - Wife by OJtOp2(m): 8:14am On May 12, 2016
– Obasanjo’s wife says she did not marry him because of his money
– Notes also that the former president is not a lover of laziness or lazy people
– Jokes also about the ex-president’s huge appetite for native food
Nigeria’s former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo does not joke with money, his wife, Bola has revealed.
According to The Cable, Obasanjo’s wife ‘spilled the milk’ at the Ogun state 3rd Investors’ Forum, where she delivered a speech and explained that she did not marry him because she was after his money.
Bola became the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) top chieftain’s wife in 2009, about four years after Stella, a Nigeria’s former First Lady, died in a Spanish hospital
“I thank God that I am with baba. Don’t think that it is because of his money, not at all, he doesn’t joke or mess around with his money.
“If he says he loves you, you must be hardworking. We nicknamed baba, wole joko jeun (enter, sit and eat) because of his busy nature. He is always attending to people. He has got answer to everybody’s problem. At times in our house, we receive over 100 guests in a single day, and we serve food to them.
“You dare not tell OBJ that there is no soup in the house, except you want trouble. When he comes in, rush to the kitchen, even if there nothing, you have to pretend that you are bringing something. If the kitchen is empty, you have to rush to the garden,” she stated excitedly.
Speaking further, the Ogun high chief’s wife informed also that
“There was a day that someone asked me if we don’t have magazine in the house, and I asked what the person needed it for and she explained that she wanted to use it to fan herself in case of power outage, then I told her that ‘They don’t read magazine here, people come here to see OBJ’s face’.”
Bola hailed her husband as a
“unique man, very unique, and it is not him, it is the grace of God upon his life.”
Meanwhile, Obasanjo has commended Ogun state governor, Ibikunle Amosun for his exhibition of exemplary leadership, commitment and dedication to the good people of the state in particular and Nigerians in general.
Baba, as he is fondly called, expressed satisfaction over the role the governor and the government of Ogun state played in the release of former minister, Iyabo Anisulowo from the den of her kidnappers.
In the letter, titled, “Letter of Commendation” written to the state governor and dated 9 May, a copy which was obtained by our correspondent, the former president also commended the efforts of the security agencies in the country, adding that Nigerians can now sleep with their two eyes closed.
Politics / Corruption: Transparency International Blasts Cameron, UK Govt by OJtOp2(m): 9:54am On May 11, 2016
Transparency International has said that Nigeria may have had its fair share of corruption, but the United Kingdom government seems to have a worse record.
In the organisation’s response to British pime minister, David Cameron’s statement about Nigeria being ‘fantastically corrupt’, the anti-corruption agency’s managing director, Cobus de Swardt, noted that the UK was actually a ‘big part of the world’s corruption problem.’
According to Premium Times, the group said Nigeria as a country is making a strong effort in the fight against corruption, but the same cannot be said of the British government.

"There is no doubt that historically, Nigeria and Afghanistan have had very high levels of corruption, and that continues to this day.
“But the leaders of those countries have sent strong signals that they want things to change, and the London Anti-Corruption Summit creates an opportunity for all the countries present to sign up to a new era.
“This affects the UK as much as other countries: we should not forget that by providing a safe haven for corrupt assets, the UK and its Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies are a big part of the world’s corruption problem,” the MD said.
Meanwhile, the group also revealed that Nigeria ranks 136 of 168 countries ranked in its Corruption Perception Index for the year 2015.
The Nigerian government has also immediately reacted to Cameron’s damaging statement with President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, describing it as embarrassing.
President Buhari is presently in London for an anti-corruption summit, where world leaders would meet to discuss ways to put an end to corruption.

Technology Market / Looking For The Best Network For Data Services? Read This Article To Find Out. by OJtOp2(m): 9:43am On May 09, 2016
Latest report by the telecoms industry regulator has reaffirmed Globacom as market leader in internet services in Nigeria.
The industry statistics for the first quarter of 2016 revealed that Globacom had a total of 26,530,420 data subscribers as at March 31, 2016, indicating an addition of 1,448,354 new customers in the first three months of the year.
In January, the company garnered 354,178 new data users, 248,593 in February and 845, 583 in March.
The total figures recorded by Globacom represent 80 percent of the total number of 1,820, 651 new data users who subscribed to internet services provided by the four major telecom operators in the country from January to March 2016.
This steady increase in data subscribers for Globacom has been ascribed to the company’s recent improvement in network quality and its continuous development of new offerings that offer unbeatable values to various market segments. Some of these offerings are the Campus Booster, Twin Bash and attractive data plans.
However, the figures for the other operators are not as cheery. Within the first quarter of 2016, Airtel recorded a total of 319, 229 new data users, while Etisalat pulled 53, 068 new internet users. Both networks account for the remaining 20 percent of new internet users for the first three months of this year.
The worst hit was MTN which lost over 6,500,000 internet users during the period. The network began the quarter with 39, 924, 737 data users on its network and ended it with 33,356,595.
Globacom has in recent time remained consistent as the preferred choice for new internet subscribers. For instance, at the end of last quarter of 2015, it was the only network that recorded an increase in its internet subscriber base with an addition of 3.2m new internet subscribers.
MTN, Airtel and Etisalat all lost data subscribers. MTN lost almost 2 million subscribers, Airtel lost close to 900,000 subscribers, while Etisalat lost 408,282 subscribers.

Politics / Gov. Fayose's Prophetic Hallucination On Kogi State Governor by OJtOp2(m): 10:53pm On May 04, 2016
GOV. FAYOSE’S PROCLAMATION ON KOGI STATE: PROPHECY OR PROFOUND HALLUCINATION?
When Gov. Fayose in his characteristic loquacious self, proclaimed that Kogi State Governor Alh. Yahaya Bello will soon be removed from office, it elicited so much reaction and amazingly brought known enemies together in agreement that the boisterous governor is now Nigeria’s Nostradamus.
Critics and opponents of Alh. Yahaya Bello went to town spreading the blasphemous gospel according to St. Fayose while totally displaying obvious short-sightedness to the prophecy of this braggart. Hear the slowpoke; “whatever I say is divine…. The next to happen is the removal of Kogi state governor ….. I have not lost a battle in my life” among other rubbish. My grouse with the whole fortune-telling charade of this mischievous self-acclaimed, Jollof rice munching gnome is his claim to divinity.
Ironically, Alh. Yahaya Bello also attributes his emergence as governor to a decree that is divine: time will tell who is led by the true spirit of God among the two. But Apostle Fayose, the omniscient refused to honour us with the vital information of who the final beneficiary of Alh. Yahaya Bello’s removal will be. Is it Hon. James Faleke or Alh. Idris Wada?
For a clown who claims the gift of clairvoyance and could thus see tomorrow and beyond, it is unacceptable to hear from him such a shallow and ambiguous proclamation. Even a slowpoke after being availed of all that transpired in the Election Petition Tribunal understands and will conclude that Gov. Yahaya Bello’s supplementary tenancy in Lugard House will soon expire and sadly not renewable. How reasonable and supposed intelligent individuals get sucked into Gov. Fayose’s wily rant beats me.
- this is a man who only saw his impeachment inside the boot of the vehicle that was used to smuggle him out of Government House in Ado-Ekiti to avoid arrest
- this is a man who predicted President Buhari’s death and commissioned an advertorial to proclaim his obituary
- this is a man whose stock-in-trade is uncouth and careless talk
- this is an idiot who readily and shamelessly uses his mother condescendingly to prove a point but ignorant of the fact that because his pampers-wearing mother is now an invalid and also senile does not make it a rule that those within or above his mother’s age bracket must share her disabilities.
Shockingly, people take him serious! Until Prophet Fayose gazes into his crystal ball, goes into trance, throw his cowries, consult the Resident Endor Witch at Osuntokun Lodge, Ado-Ekiti or engage in whatever it is he does to be inspired for fortune-telling and come out with a definite outcome on the Kogi State governorship conundrum, his vaunted prophetic proclamation is nothing but the twisted ranting of profound hallucination. As for the adherents of His Eminence, Senior Prophet Ayodele Peter Fayose, time will reveal the folly in their conviction
Sports / Pellegrini Denies Problems Between Iheanacho And Man City Teammates by OJtOp2(m): 10:36pm On May 01, 2016
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has defended young striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
Pellegrini denied teenage striker Kelechi Iheanacho has problems with his team-mates. TV pundit Thierry Henry said it was “weird” that City’s other players didn’t celebrate with Iheanacho after he scored against Spurs.
Pellegrini said: “Kelechi is a young player and he has a very good relationship with all his team-mates. They know what he can give to our team.
“I will use Kelechi if he is the one I think will make a difference. It is the same for all the players.”
Politics / Bailout: Yahaya Bello Lying To Kogi People by OJtOp2(m): 10:25am On Apr 29, 2016
I read on your Facebook Page late yesterday that the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has approved N50.8 billion bailout for Kogi State government. I found the bizarre news irritating and annoying because the outgoing government of Yahaya Bello is joking with our collective sensibilities. Why this huge joke on a critical issue that affects the common man in the state?
I want to state categorically that the government of Yahaya Bello is lying to Kogi people on the issue of bailout. No fund has been approved! It is just a ploy to confuse the labour leaders in the state and stop them from embarking on strike that has been schedule to commence next week Monday. As I write, I am aware that joint labour unions have typed a bulletin issuing notice of strike to Kogi State government.
The governor and the unusual source of the information, Idris Asiru, are currently flexing in Saudi. They got wind of the move by labour leaders and instead of meeting their demands or plead with them, they resorted to expensive lies proclaiming that the much
awaited bailout has been approved.
Concerned Kogi people have called me and expressed surprise reading about the CBN approval for the bailout from the governor’s Special Adviser on Investment (who is far away in Saudi) on social media platforms, whereas the CBN released an official statement when the same approval was given to Capt. Idris Wada on 8th August, 2015.
I challenge the source, Asiru Idris, to come out and tell the whole world when the Yahaya Bello government re-applied for the bailout, how much was applied for and when the said approval will be cash-backed and made available to the long-suffering people of Kogi State. This is conspiracy against the good people of the state.
It is so unfortunate that this unpopular government has chose the path of dishonour by playing on our intelligence.

Jobs/Vacancies / Certificates Vs. Credentials: Any Difference? by OJtOp2(m): 8:37am On Apr 26, 2016
I have been wondering what are the differences between certificates and credentials.
Wikipedia says Certificate is a document or seal certifying the authenticity of something.
And Credential is a qualification, achievement, quality, or aspect of a person's background, especially when used to indicate their suitability for something.
What do we call The one we attach to CVs? Please enlighten us.

A man obviously well-loved by his people, James Ocholi even in death, dragged virtually all Igala people out from their homes who trooped to the Abocho community primary school to witness the event.
It was crying, wailing and lamentation galore. The people were inconsolable. Children, youths, the old, the clergy, community leaders and political associates of the late Ocholi were grieving .
