These are beautiful art works from Government day secondary school, Majia in Jigawa State. Most of these artworks were done by the female students here in the North. They so much love doing this.
The Principal acknowledged the Corper who organized this for the whole school as it ignited the creativity in the students.
In no time, other schools in the community followed suit. The Corper by the name Okeme James Jerome will always award the winners of each competition with cash and other prizes. 2 Likes 1 Share

Nairaland / General / ALERT!!! New Way OPAY Riders Cheat Passengers by okemejames(m): 8:38am On Jan 06, 2020 |
There's a new way Opay Riders are cheating people. They answer your request for a ride but the won't pick you up. They'll ride empty and charge you. This is really unfair. I experienced this in Kaduna and someone else experienced it in Kwara State. The app should be modified. Only the Passenger should be able to activate the ride.

NwaAmaikpe: ![shocked](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/shocked.gif)
Is Jesus there, With all that's happening here? Bandits in the noonday Rather herdsman I would say.
Yahoo boys stealing pants Hoping to ride Benz, Leaders stealing like rats Enriching only family and friends
Does Jesus love me, Because all I do is sin, Talk trash, eat beer then pee, My church life as fat as a pin.
What does Jesus think, About herdsmen killing While our leaders look away Pastors whose hypocrisy stink Giving in to their carnal feeling And Christianity is put ashamed.
Please tell me Because I need to know If our heavenly being Is the same one as in the days of old. God is the same today, yesterday and forever |

Nairaland / General / Creating Activities For Creativity In Nigeria (article) by okemejames(m): 10:45am On Jul 31, 2019 |
The development of a nation lies on the hands of those who love creative change in their environments. Studies have shown that the economic power of any nation is not measured by the natural resources she possesses but the level at which she is able to develop due to the creativity of her citizens. Germany, U.S.A, Japan, just to mention a few are great epitome in this aspect.
Computers, automobiles, telephones e.t.c can't be made mention of without bringing to mind creativity and at the same time boasting the influence of the Nations they emerged from. This is the sole reason why some countries will continue to be identified as developing countries till they wake up and start developing minds by creating activities lest they remain comsuming Nations.
To create activities for creativity simply means to set up avenues that will lead to the discovery of creative minds that have not been brought to light.
These search should be broadened so as to balance every aspect of life ranging from Science, Art, Business, Agriculture e.t.c. Many developed Countries started discovering their elites and creative minds at their early age. This is popularly known as "Catch them young". The big question is, who will be responsible for this task? All these burdens can't be laid upon the shoulders of the government alone. Private bodies and NGO(s) have great role to play here. It can be seen from the perspective of their way of giving back to the societies and also a medium and opportunity to woo citizens into becoming a part of them as customers as in the case of banks, telecommunication companies, producing companies and various organizations.
A room for competition towards creativity in communities can only be achieved when societies rise and adopt processes of solving societal problems. It's mostly through competitions that the best is known. Most organizations have kicked up in this aspect of organising competitions such as painting, poetry, debate, mathematics, dancing, singing and the likes of others and the winners are greatly and handsomely rewarded. A wise saying goes like this "Appreciation beget Repetition". When a child does something worthwhile and he/she is appreciated, he/she would want to do more and even improve and we all know the popular saying "Practice make perfect".
History recorded it that King Henry viii banned the importation of used goods in England and the economy grew beyond imagination because it activated their creative minds.
So, this is a wake up call for the Government of Nigeria, NGO(s) and other private bodies in Nigeria and Nigerians in general to join me in creating activities that will encourage creativity in Nigeria. This avenue will majorly bring an end to youths roaming the streets and engaging themselves in malicious activities like arm robbery, prostitution, scamming e.t.c which in return have some negative effects not only on lives but also tend to soil the good name of the Nation Nigeria.
Thank you. By: Okeme Jerome

brownskilo: Most of the banks atm cards dont have the usersname inscribed on it. I think that should be the reason why they dont like giving out retained cards Not in all cases |

gmaribel: I traveled from Abuja to Edo (akpkpava) and I wanted to withdraw some cash to book my hotel and other expenses. I use Polaris but the nearest ATM was ecobank As I slotted in my ATM and put my pin it was as if time stood still I waited for good 10mins without any response from the ATM I was a stranger and it was getting dark. I started sweating unusually.... Security what is wrong with the ATM machine... Oga na network just wait small....this was after nearly 20mins
I was confused. No button on the machine was responding and I didn't have up to 1k cash. I Started praying at 25mins Suddenly the machine responded after nearly 30mins
Welcome what transaction do you wish to make. With speed I just removed my card and asked direction to my bank which wasn't even far off. Na God save you ooo 2 Likes |

NOBODYY: One of the most stupid policy ever in the history of this country is the permanent forfeiture of your card if it gets swallowed by an AT-machine of another bank
What exactly is the logic behind this? What sense does it make?
There was a day I was travelling on a Friday afternoon and I decided to quickly withdraw with a polaris atm card at an access ATM stand.. The atm swallowed my card and the stupid bank staff and gatemen asked me to go to my bank to request for another card.
To request for another card another 3:50pm when I needed cash urgently to travel??
This is my point exactly. It should be stopped . Pls tweet it if possible |

DameB: Why should banks return your card to you? When they make 1k naira each time you request for a new card? It's all about the dough for these banks It's really annoying |
