Dimple10: I'm posting this here for me.
Today has been a very off day. I've been in a funk all day, not exactly sure why but the thought of everything is weighing me down.
I've cried my eyes out in the last few minutes hoping to feel better but i don't.
Here's hoping that the universe hears me and send some good news my way.
Fingers crossed. You'd be fine. The end is near because the universe has heard you. Be strong because a lot of good news will be coming quite sooner than expected. |
Politics › Re: Deletion Of Section 84(12): House Of Reps To Appeal Judgement by OkinBiscuit: 7:25pm On Mar 23, 2022 |
oilykid: It's all about politics. The only way APC will retain power is to hand it to South South candidate. This would make them win votes from SS/SE and even SW (they wouldn't have any practical option). The only moral place to cede the ticket is SE but this is politics, the party is not strong there. SW has no moral right to ask for presidency now but they have positioned themselves well for the ticket. The truth is that no single region can win presidency. Voting blocks in Nigeria remains North/SE-SS/SW. Any of the two combined would defeat the third. The SW media wing is actually pushing Igbos to demand for presidency from PDP and Igbos shouldn't fall for this. Reason is this, apart from the bad blood caused by IPOB, APC is the incumbent party. Why would APC Kaduna leave APC candidate to vote for PDP SE candidate. A SW presidency means a longer wait for SE (16years).
The political move SE can make now is to join forces with Northern PDP and win 2023. Build bridges and position themselves for 2031. Be ready to get jabs on nairaland from SW that Igbos are only good for vice presidency or are Fulani slaves. Don't be moved by these. That's the only solution and Yorubas played it in 2015. A Yoruba candidate wouldn't have stood a chance against any SS/SE candidate of PDP in 2015 as the incumbent party would have deployed their machinery to crush them. They wouldn't also stand a chance if PDP is incumbent party in 2031 with an Igbo presidential candidate.
This is the truth an Igbo with his emotional part wouldn't want to hear or a cunny Yoruba wouldn't want people to know. Well said. I agree with most/all of your permutations. |

GraciousWords: I get your point/angst......but
1. There is such a thing as personal preference....same thing as people buying foreign education instead of schooling in Nigeria. Or buying Calpol for kids instead of Emzor. I like what I like and I don't like what I don't like
2. That personal preference is often decided by the substandard nature of Nigerian products and/or processes e.g. even though I took the vaccine, I cannot say with my full chest that the vaccines were stored optimally as they would have been done abroad not because we are bad and they are good but because we don't have the checks and balances that they have abroad. For example, even if they didn't want to confess to their inefficiencies in approving applications they are bound by their laws to provide that information.....ATIP.
Don't let's talk about timelines and Nigeria....have you not met people who spent 7 years on a 4 year Uni degree, abeg leave matter? If Canadian inefficiency tiya you, withdraw your app and live with the Nigerian one nau.
These and many more are the reasons we are all trying to japa. Nothing wrong with being patriotic o but as we are crying we should still be seeing road. The abroad has it's own issues, it's not utopia but some things are clear done/coordinated better there.
By the way, if you want the full gist on your app, order GCMS notes...https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/643#104080818

This was completed at Wuse 2. But that was on a really tight budget. Quite conservative. |

So this depends on your location. For instance, I was able to complete a two bedroom apartment in the city-centre in Abuja for about 3.2m last year. Give or take, budget about 1.2 million to 1.8 million for a one bedroom, if you'd be building in major cities/towns in Abuja or Lagos, whilst 800,000 or less could suffice for remote or satellite areas. This is based on my professional insight as an Architect. Cheers |
