tommee: As in, I’m just hoping like you say they’ll just overlook the financial part as my GTE and other documents were very well planned. I’ll update tthe house once I hear back from them on the application. |

WestAfrican: Thanks a lot for the quick response. My sister is married with one kid, and as for the account she sent me, there was very little activity on the account over the 3-month period which was what we used for the application. Is there any way I can attach the actual statement and fixed deposit slip in a pm to you so you have a look? I would really appreciate that. And thanks, I will go ahead and attach the fixed deposit statement on Monday to the application along with the short note. |

Hello house, Wishing you all the best with your applications! I submitted my student visa application on the 23rd of May and front-loaded my sponsor's SOA with a balance of about 13.37m naira, I have also paid the required deposit of 8150AUD to Deakin for the CoE with my full tuition for one year being 32600 AUD. When I did all of my calculations, the amount that is needed in my sponsor's account was just under 12m naira. However, I am worried if the 13.37m will be enough considering I saw a case on this thread of someone getting denied because of the funds for the subsequent year of studies. My sponsor in question has her company (she is the majority shareholder and sole signatory) fixed deposit account with about 32m naira. The fixed deposit has a maturity date of 19th of December 2019. I am now thinking that it might be worth attaching the fixed deposit slip and a letter showing she is the sole signatory to the account to the application on Monday. What do you guys think? Thanks a lot for helping me with this, you know the usual paranoia during the wait lol it is getting to me! |

Donxavier: So I got into the UK today hassle free. I have heard countless stories of how scrutiny at Heathrow is really tight and all that. I was pretty surprised when the border officer just asked for my passport, asked if I was a first time student, gave me a first time student form to fill and stamped me in.As simple as that. Even my cousin that came for me was pretty surprised that I was done pretty quickly. No questions were asked me, he didn't even ask for my admission letter or CAS statement. Thank God for journey mercies o! What address did u fill as your contact address on your landing card as you've not booked an accommodation yet? Did u put your cousin's address? Regards. |

@justwise, good Morning! Just got my visa this morning. Was wondering if I'd need another bank statement printed since they didn't return the one I used in my application. Will they ask for this when I arrive the UK? How does it work? Thanks for your help. |

Good evening everyone. My status is showing processed application in transit. I paid for the courier service, was wondering if this meant my documents are with UPS or they are on the way to the VAC. Anyone with an idea? |

Good Morning house. I just stumbled on this thread after submitting my visa application. It is absolutely fantastic the amount of info on here. Well, my question is this: My mummy made a visa application in 2005 and included me as her accompanying child- I was 12 years old at the time. We were refused the visa. In all honesty I didn't even know she made such an application till I was filling my form this year. In question 6.3 of the form asking if I had been refused, I answered as follow: Date: 25/10/2005. Country: UK Reason: don't know Reference number: 243415. I must add that my mum has gotten a uk visa 3 times after that refusal in 08,10, and 2012. But she doesn't have the refusal notice again and she cannot remember the exact reasons for the refusal. Please do u think that I will be refused a visa because of not putting the refusal reason? |
