Hi Nairalanders.... its being a while, please i want to confirm weda the German consulate still the auto cancel all visa application on september 30th, i want to know if i need to reapply if the auto cancel process is still on

Hello! To be truthful, I'm not sure it's feasible by that time. No interviews have been given except those before the lockdown and scholarship I guess. Can you ask your school for an extension? Let them know your situation �‍♀️. I'm currently in your shoes, taking classes online though my school has not given a deadline

And also, I have being admitted enrolled with matriculation number..
My Student account at stud.ip has being set up and I have started online course via zoom as no-one is allow for physical class now bcoz of covid19. And I need till January 15th 2021 to present in Germany, can anyone here know how this situation can be of a favour or advantage to securing visa before the schedule date?

To start with the house is not cheap. Most Appartement in Deutschland are about that range.

Then do you want to pay about 200,000 Naira rent for an apartment when you are yet to get a Visa interview date??

You are not even sure of you will be interviewed this year or next year!!!

If you have to money to throw around you can go ahead and pay.

There is nothing throwing around or dashing.... Apart from some cancelation fee, if u can not make it and you cancel your rental agreement before the start of the rental date, your money will be refund in full.... Worse case scenario will be you lost one month (October) rent if you don't cancel before October...

Rentage in Hamburg is quite expensive beyond normal for many cities in Germany so €328 rent month is not quite a normal rent for hambur and to talk about many other added advantage being in the campus hostel..


I understand that things is quite unpredictable at the moment and that is the reason I brought it up for collective ideal... Nobody best of all opinion all the time... I see some people even giving out their apartment even with profit but that is not my pursuit at the moment...

I got my AL in match this year from TUHH Hamburg for Msc. Mechatronics.

The issue now is that my enrollment deadline is 14th October and I have being allocated FRESHMAN ROOM (New student accommodation) in of my school campus lodge and I'm expected to pay for the room before 18th of this month August....

What do I do? And it is at a very cheap rate of €328/month... If I miss the payment deadline, I will lost the allocation to other student.

Please what do u think I should do?

I disagree with you on this... His long episode made a lot of sense and he is saying the reality.... What measures are being taking serious here in Nigeria? The face mask campaign wasn't what is worth.... Everyone is wearing face mask on their beared or lower jaw exposing the mouth and nose just not to be harass by the law.... Did that have any effect? Markets and transit are clustered without regards to social distancing nor hacking to any preventive measures... Now reopening of schools and local flight is already here....
The virus is already on ground and increasing on daily bases so what difference would opening international flight make to the situation?

In fact... Is other countries that need to short their border to Nigeria because they take proper action judiciously unlike our hypocritical ones because we might put them back in danger

Our government is irresponsible and not concern to the need of her citizens so we need to draw their attention to it even though we know they might not care despite that.

See US took action against Nigeria to reduce visa application fee or they will increase their and Nigeria burge
See Germany despite mention opening of it border to some countries still conduction China and some other countries that close border to Germany that they will be let into Germany if they also open their own border to Germans...

That is how government fight for her people

Many of you going on about this campaign are so inconsiderate and to an extent out of touch with reality.

This is a global pandemic that has claimed thousands of lives and a lot of countries are managing the reopening carefully to avoid second wave or closing down again.

A city in Germany has to close down again as the infection rate spikes, the same in U.K, USA, Australia etc.

Schools can’t even guarantee you face to face campus lectures considering the number of students and the potential risks involved.

Irresponsible behaviour like this is one of the reasons why this virus will linger on for a very long time.

The govt and health experts know the right time to reopen the airport and not any of you here.

It is unfortunate and disappointing that u decided to discuss what you don't know...

I didn't want to reply to you and your fellow over your unguarded advise... At least you should have research google if u are not familiar with something before sharing ur opinion....

That you might be in Germany now doesn't mean u know anything... My former company KHS Machine took us as last direct Mechanical employee... After us any mechanical jobs request goes straight for Mechatronics employee... They have stop taking direct machincal... And they are German coy...

I will give you an example...
1. Ur common home appliances like the micro wave... Old type will keep heating until it burnt the food and probably the entire house so u need to monitor it for the desired temperature then turn it off... But now how does it work? U can set ur temperature range and go to bathroom and it will turn itself off at the right temperature.
2. What about ur old manual car compared to the automatic car? Have u ever asked ur self how the car understand high torge gear at the start and then switch to high speed gear when in motion?

There is something called "ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE" you can consider that the alternative name for Mechatronics.... No equipment in this morndern time is purely mechanical... It incorporate other fields of engineering to make it self operative...

So my friend... How do u handle or repair equipment that is neither mechanial alone nor electrical alone nor electronic alone? Which type of skills and degree do u need to handle them since u can find a part of all this fields fused in one single element?

Finally.... A 4.43 graduate of Mech. Fut MX applied to 7schools in Germany last two yrs I got admission in all the rest 6 except University of Technology Hamburg (TUHH) for MSC. Mechatronics so before u think I got the admission on a plater of Gold or because there is no student for it... Go check...

If u think mechanical, electrical, electronics engineering are good course and are easily employable in the labor market then I want to let u know that Mechatronics Engineering hold 4x the chances and the opportunities of the corners

I never said in my post that any of these fields are not employable in Germany. They are all employable as separate disciplines
In my company , I do not know any technician that is a mechanic and an electrician then a computer scientist. An electrician and electronics are ever different as close as they may seem. These fields require 3-4 years training to be employable in Germany. To combine it in a 2years master , makes the master laughable.

We call it facharbeit in Germany. There is no Jack of all trade in germany . The university can combine what ever the professor likes. But in the real world. The training is left to the professor to make use of. Companies would send you back to your professor to employ you. Companies are not looking for a mechanoelectrocomputoelectronics. I know a friend who studies geo biology. Combination mostly makes you unemployable in Germany. In this case, he is bearly a geologist and definitely not a biologist. He is nothing to the employer

Dont forget that Germany is not Nigeria that calls everyone graduate because they attended a course in the university.
Even the germans, if they study something then later realise that it is useless, they work in restaurant or as helper in factories , thereafter go back to study what is employable. They dont consider themselves graduate but would be rather angry with the university for teaching a useless course.

AND YOU WONDER WHY HE GOT ADMISSION SO EASILY, MAYBE THERE AINT STUDENTS IN GERMANY

My concern is why directing people for a less compitative course or school...
All discipline is fine in Germany, you will surely get something out of anything but you and I know some course sell more than others and ease our purpose of going there in the first place.

Telling someone to go for less is like he/she is not capable of competing fairly and I consider it inferiority complex.... I have sat with many 1st class for job aptitude test and saw many goes down where I excess with 2.1.... Me and my friend applied to Fut-MX together for Mech and elect eng'g respectively, he was given Physic Edu why I was given Chemistry, I rejected the admission, he took his own and advised me to do the same as admission is not easy in Nigeria but I insisted on my Meg eng'g, the following year I got the Mech Eng'g in the same Fut-MX..
Till this day he regret his action and admire my unwaved division. He hasn't gotten anything with that cert till now even with his 2.1 thus he working whereas I have professionally moved between 3 international company that include a German serving company KHS machine

I just narrated all this to boost peoples self confident .... Do multiple applications but do it in

U and the follow up commentor are very correct... Like every other here, I plan to leave and never return but one thing I don't compromise is wasting my time on what I don't need. Like u rightly said, I will drop out of the German race before I go for what I have no interest in to study because I won't even do well in it. I don't always have 2nd choice even here in Nigeria... My choice is my choice and is always one.... I'd process professional skill job in Germany than processing unwanted admission in the name of anything and I advise from my own view stand point... His message is inspirational and motivational but at the same time can be misleading......what works for A cannot work for B.......his CGPA and work experience might give him an edge over others but that doesn’t mean he should advise people not to have contingency plans......I know lots of my friends that got AD last year but couldn’t secure Admission Letter and they had to cancel......he should go and tell those people to apply to one School because they want to apply to competitive schools......I didn’t want to reply the guy when he posted that but I had to after reading your post......I’ll keep saying it.....spread your Application Net far and wide to avoid premium tears......if the guy in question didn’t succeed with that one school he applied to.....trust me.....he’ll be distraught and might drop out of the Germany Travel Race.......there’s nothing wrong in having Plan A - Plan Z as far your money can carry you through application.......A word is enough......Cheers.
NB: you can actually switch schools in Germany if the school did not meet your expectation.....The Goal is to get to DE.

Going through many advice giving here... Why always advising someone to go for less compitative course or school when there couldn't get through with 1st attempt?

I don't find it right.... I believe everyone prefer best option...

For me, I went for the course of my choice and still for a high racking school.

M.Sc. Mechatronics (its a multi-disciplinary course that combine Mech, Elect, info-tect, electronic and computer) is a high marketable course and a restricted admission at University of Technology Hamburg...

I didn't even border applying to other school because I can't find the combination of a higher Rankin school like TUHH with Mechatronics in English and free tuition...

And I got the admission and that is the only admission I got and that only I applied...

No uni assist, no certification of any document, no single penny paid on admission process till I got the admission just a few data.

So I guess we should guide people the best instead of letting them settle for less.

I don't know about your particular case but have u tried filling it online before downloading?

Many German online forms required you to fill them online them download to append ur signature and date... So check that possibility out if you have not
