KingAlabi: Una still complain as United sign pellistri
E be things Who be una?? I was always vocal about spending 120M pounds on Sancho. We don't need to buy a top class RW anymore, Amad Traore Diallo will be a starter in 2 years. A loan for an old head like Perisic or Costa would have been appropriate. |

Nezzjnr: Just a reminder that Sir Alex played Wazza out of position just to accommodate RVP.... Wazza was still banging in goals and never made his grievances known to the club
If we can get a good deal on Pogba... We should sell asap abeg 55M to 80M pounds we should sell ASAP. Pogba has checked out, we need a strong midfield runner that can also pass effectively and provide cover for them CBs. We do not need to spend 50 to 70M for his replacement, get a solid dude from the French league or German league and bring back Jimmy Garner if he impresses at Watford. |

eph12: Fred job is to keep the ball moving. He's not going to give you goals or through balls. What he's going to give you is the energy to keep our midfield on top. I can point to many other midfielders in that role in other top teams. He made a total of 3 shots of which 2 were off targets. Should we look at how many of Bruno's shots were off targets? Before that particular Fred shot, Bruno just hit a shot very high but you didn't say anything. The moment Fred hit his own off target, lamentations started.
Hopefully very soon, you all will appreciate that energy in the midfield. Someone that is available to hassle opponents and try to cut them off. He was dribbled a total of 2 times, Tom once. But you're saying it like he was beaten throughout the game while Tom was winning the balls back. Go and check their ball recovery stats.
I hope OGS puts Fred on the bench till the end of the season so that we can lament over a slow midfield that can't keep up with the opponent pace. The inability to play line breaking passes by some of our midfielders is why we have difficulty with breaking down teams. True, Fred provides energy in the midfield but he over commits when trying to intersect passes and he usually comes up short thereby needed much time to recover and putting more pressure on the team. If he does not improve of these aspects of his game he should be phased out of the team. Stats should never be the main factor when accessing a player, you mentioned that he was dribbled twice. Why dribble him when he will over extend while trying to cut out a pass but fail to do so thereby falling out of position. |

eph12: I won't even talk about Fred again make e no be like say na my favorite or I'm paid to defend him. It's just confusing when I see his effort to make sure that our midfield was not overrun yesterday and the stats confirmed that he had one of the highest attempted passes and better pass success ratio than every other player on the field bar Mata and James I think before he was substituted. Then I come on NL and I see something like "Fred can't pass". Omo na weakness. This is one of the drawbacks of judging a players performance by stats alone. Fred had an okay game but most of his passes were sideways and non-line breaking passes. Most of the time he tried a line breaking pass it was misplaced. Did you not see how poor his shots were? Did you also not see how he is always over committing himself when tackling thereby making it easy for opponents to glide pass him. He needs to improve his passing range if he wants to last at United. |

weedtaker: Overran how? Everton matched them like a big team should. 'Overran their midfield". Everton could hardly string 5 passes in the midfield they had to use long balls and effective wing play. Allan was pulled around alot and he conceded way too much fouls. It was a good game and Everton played well. |

patrickmuf: I remember when people here praising Ole for addressing our defence in just one window but I remained skeptical. We concede way too many cheap goals for a top club and most times against lowly rated teams.
Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, James and Ighalo are not Manchester United quality and how much did we spend to sign them?
Why did Ole insist on keeping Ighalo even when his club wanted him back only to go ahead and sign Cavani on a free? Ole is clueless...After the restart, Ighalo hardly ever played you begin to wonder if it isn't the same coached that pushed for him to stay. That's the club paying him for doing nothing.
I just hope the club will avoid buying British players going forward, those overrated guys command huge transfer fees yet offer next to nothing...I am afraid we need to count our losses and move on from Wan-Bissaka and Maguire, those two average players won't take us anywhere...130m gone down the drain and someone said Ole knows what he is doing...
Everton signed Allan, Doucoure and James and they're all doing well but at Manchester United, you begin to hear bullocks like core British spine...
If Ole doesn't give himself brain and drop Maguire for whoever and start Telles ahead of Shaw vs Newcastle as well as play a diamond midfield, he just might get the sack after the game...
For his most loyal of fans, we have played over five games already... please don't set yourself up to be disappointed by Ole. He is going to start Maguire and Shaw against Newcastle. |

Ibime: I stopped at the Aba women's riots. I did not know 95% of those killed were in Opobo. I always thought the thing only happened in Aba.
The one wey trip me na how Lugard conquered Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto, Katsina and Bornu empire with just two machine guns. Oboy technology good oh. Sultan of Sokoto came out with 15,000 men and 650 men with two machine guns chased him from Sokoto to Maiduguri. Lugard was a bad mofo, straight up war dog. Yeah, the Gatling gun was ace for Lugard, dude defeated all of them nothern city states with pristine efficiency. I didn't even know that records of those killed in skirmishes like the Aba women riot were kept. The crazy thing is that most of them records are kept at libraries in the UK. |
