It is a pity! 1 point from a possible 6 against PSV is unacceptable. The likes of Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern and even Arsenal would have destroyed this PSV team. It is obvious that Van Gaal's philosophy or whatever he calls it, is shiit! The team was unable to string 5 attacking passes in the last 15 minutes, it was abysmal, an eyesore. We needed a goal to qualify for the knockout stage of the UCL, and all we could do was hit useless long passes towards Fellaini. The fullbacks Darmian and Rojo brings nothing towards the attacking oart of game. It was a labored performance from Tieger, Morgan and Felliani, they were all barren going forward. At this stage, It will be in the best interest of the team for us to exit the UCL at the group stage. It will be a disaster if we are drawn against the likes of Bayern or Barca, it will be a bitter experience for United fans.

Maybe LVG should get the fucck out of this team, we need to play with a high tempo and not this useless and directionless possession style of football. I feel like i just wasted 2 hours of my life today.

There are other metrics used to measure a 'good striker' aside goals.

I actually understand Nihilist's points with regards to Lukaku. Take nothing away from him, he is a good striker with impressive numbers but he lacks the technical ability to play for a tier 1 club.

For tier 2 clubs and below , goals are very important but when u start looking towards tier 1, ability to hold up play, beat defenders and pass the ball effectively are important.

What has Martial even done?

Martial at 16 was at Lyon a club where they had other top prospects. Lukaku is a good striker, very effective in the air and a master of the "body jamming art". He was able to start playing 1st team football because ;
1. His physical attributes as a striker were better than those of Martial at 16
2. He was in the Belgian league that has a much lower quality compared to the French Ligue 1

Effective jam body is not a bad trait for a striker in a 2nd tier club. Lukaku's numbers are more impressive than those of Martial at 19, although Lukaku started playing at around 16 in a weak Belgian league.
Martial has the required tools to be a top class CF but he needs to show some consistency over 2 to 3 years.

Rooney at 18 was arguably better..He was a force of nature, maybe without the trickery, but he had everything else.

Rooney @ 18 was very good with pace to burn and energy to run around for 180mins but there is something about Martial's calmness on the field and his ability to change pace and beat defenders.

Bros how u do am na 5.5 is super low for a Nigerian graduate, no pun intended. The minimum IELTS score required is 6.5 for Finnish university international masters degree.

You might want to practice and read some materials then try IELTS again.

What's up man... Nice IELTS score... For the letter of purpose, you might want to go through the program's webpage and also look out for pointers relating to the kind of applicants that the department is seeking. I did something similar when I was preparing my application in January 2015.

To maximize your addmision prospects you should apply to more than one university.
