DrCobo: Good evening guys..I am a female graduate of Enugu state university. I wish to get adequate info on Masters programme in Finland ( Tuition-free).
The following are my course of interest based on preference
1) Public relations and advertising
2) Human resources
3) Broadcast media
Additionally , I need you guys to assist in possible institution and how to fast track my application so as to meet up admission for later this year. if possible a contact email or phone no I can speak to directly in the institution you suggest..It is not easy to find this info via google directly. Thanks so much everyone.
You have to search for schools and other info yourself using the link above. After that you can ask for more info here if needed.
Secondly, I don't think you can meet up this year's application process because it ends on 30 Jan 2016 for most schools. Admission for masters degree programs are conducted once a year from December to January.
Hope you are aware that a minimum tuition fee of 1500 euros will be charged from next year?
NigeriaReports: Download Tiwa Savage ft. Olamide - Standing Ovation, Is OUT AND Trending , the Amazing Video of Nigerian super stars, this is a real lovely video directed and produced by Don Jazzy ..watch video below.
jworos: Thanks for the reply Bro, I've not taken the test yet, what do you advise, I should wait till this time next year then? And what time is best to take the test?
The earlier the better. I will advise that you write the test before November 2016. Hope you are aware that Finnish institutions will introduce tuition fees of about 1500 euros from 2017?
jworos: Hello guys, I just started doing some research about studying in Finland before seeing this thread... Nice job you guys are doing here, the issue is my Bros over there in Finland told me to apply to a school now, as I'll be through with my first degree next year(2016),but after my little research I observed that their dead line is July and my school here we'll not be able to meet up with that time, we're going to be through by September... Is it advisable to continue the application?
No!
You cannot meet up with this year's admission process.
Have you written an English language proficiency test (IELTS, TOEFL or PTE )?
ElFenomeno1: Dude the basis for comparison is who is the better footballer? On the back of what we have seen coming from two players who left the same pond to another... one would be daft, dumb and dimwitted to pick Depay!!
ElFenomeno1: A much better player than Depay!!! #Wiljnaldum When we were saying it here earlier this season, these cu nts were pleading for more time for Depaynaldo
Comparing Depay to Wiljnaldum is outrageous! They play different positions. Wiljnaldum is a very good playing, he won't have won the Dutch player of the season for 2015 if he was not an exciting and very good footballer.
ElFenomeno1: You are a concentrated hypocrite So now your team is sh it? I thought you lot were the best since Walls sausages!!! Your loud mouth was all over this thread a few weeks into the season about how you are going to destroy anything. We were focused taking things game by game and sending out messages... we did that when we effortlessly decapitated your joke of a side earlier this season... that didn't stop Cu nts like you from naysaying!! It's about time you shut your gob and just watch the drama unfold!!! Don't tip us... you slate that team week in week out and you are still tipping us? What side do you lean at you fool? Stop hopping on and off ... make up your fu cking mind... appreciate or get lost with your thoughts .... respect or pi ss off into a wide crevasse F ucking idio ts like you is the reason why this country can never move forward! You are tipping arsenal today and next minute you are panning them... Di ck riding fagg ot. .. love the attention!
razinnaija: thank you for the reply. I'll be graduating July 2017 and I'll start preparing myself for the IELTs test as you have suggested.
Regarding my saving its actually just over half of what you have suggested but I have hope of a sponsor who Is in Germany. Would I need the sponsor to pay the money into my account when the time comes or can they just send their statement to me?
I really feel like the financial aspect would be my main challenge but I'm being positive in Christ.
RIN
Your sponsor will have to pay the required 1.5M naira into your account, he will also have to provide a copy of his account statement and other documents supporting the source of his income.
If you start planning now, with your savings and a sponsor that can provide the above requirements you will be fine.
Also if you are positive that you will graduate by July 2015, you can meet up with next year's enrollment.
P.S - Hope you are aware after this year's enrollment Finnish universities are no more tuition free? Although unconfirmed sources are saying that it will be around 1,000 to 2,500 euros. Also there might be some financial aid packages for applicants.
I have been reading a lot of the posts here on studying in Finland and twale! to all the contributors. Your own no go loss.
I'm currently studying Industrial Design here in Nigeria and would be rounding up 2017. I would like to do my Masters in 'Collaborative and Industrial design' at Aalto University in Finland therefore I'm starting my research now. Here are some questions I would appreciate answers to...
-Please does anyone know any Nigerians studying this course at Aalto and is it a competitive course to get into there? -When would be the right time to start applying because I would like to do my masters immediately after my B.A, before serving. -How much would I need to save in my account to show self sufficiency?
Thats it for now. Thanks in advance RIN
Way to go mahn!
I know about 4 Nigerians studying in Aalto and 2 are "bosses" on this thread, but none of them are studying the course you mentioned.
When exactly in 2017 will you be graduating? The information is needed to help you plan and decide when to apply. I will suggest you take the English language proficiency test (IELTS, TOEFL or PTE ) in the last quarter of 2016.
I don't encourage applicants that are not working and earning more than 100,000 naira to apply for the RP through the self sponsored route unless you have other source of income with the relevant support documents to substantiate the source of the funds in your bank account. I would advise that you get a sponsor. You will need 6720 euros.. that should be around 1.5M naira.
AdeLaNa1: Azzin! Who in their right mind will want to go coach Madrid?? Even if u win d league and UCL in one day, u can easily get sacked the following day.
Annoying club with crappy set of fans and an even crappier owner!!
ceiling: pls big Bros in the house, am applying for undergraduate this with the required ielts score. but pls my problem is that, my wassce cert which is aggregate 25 instead of 24. so pls will b considered for the entrance exams? or o should use the discretionary application? thank you.
Bros happy new year o.
Maybe I don't understand English anymore o... you might want to rephrase your questions.
What do u mean by "aggregate to 25 instead of 24" and also what will you like to know about IELTS.
Lastly, the easiest route for undergraduate application is to find programs that do not require the entrance exam or those that require SAT.
akinsbola452000: @Bode no vex joor,I was actually referring to TAMK on the Phd and Bsc stuff(my mistake). The analysis using Unilag and LASU was so funny so i needed to clear it. Different bodies rate universities on different basis. You don come back from ur Europe tour? I dey Estonia now and go return to Finland by nexk week. We need to hang out oooo.
I dey Amsterdam at the moment, should be back before the new year.
Finn081: Guyz you are doing a very good job here I must say. Pls can anyone suggest how I can pay the app fees come january for undergraduate because of this no foreign transaction palava
1. pay before January
2. get a friend or relative abroad to make the payment for you.
Nawa for una... why the argument concerning main university in Tampere. Some questions on this thread are like rhetorical questions, no answers are required. @akinsbola452000 you fall my hand big time, I expected you to know the difference between TUT and UTA, saying TUT cannot award Phd. in some courses is a major miss and also stating that BSc. graduates of TUT cannot enrol for a MSc. program without some years of working experience is comical.
@mavinc4u abeg...please...biko... next time take 5 minutes to "google" "best universities in Finland" or "top universities in Finland" or something like that.
To the matter at hand, comparing both universities is quite unnecessary as TUT is a specialized university that focuses on engineering and architecture while UTA is a more general university that focuses on boilogical, physical and social sciences with some programs in ICT and other areas.
TAMK is a polytechnic, that provides more practical education and they award Bsc. and Msc. degrees.
TUT and TAMK are for different purposes as one is mainly for research/tutoring in the area of engineering and the other is a polytechnic for training of skilled personnel.
@presiade i still don't get your angle on the unilag and LASU analogy mayb na wetin make @akinsbola452000 para as him na chief for UTA
stolid: I beg to differ. Tax Associates at Deloitte typically have Acccounting or Economics backgrounds, unlike other departments like Audit for example. You had a major stint at Deloitte; you should know this. Anyone who doubts this can briefly peruse profiles of Tax Associates at Deloitte on LinkedIn, and tell me what he/she deduces.
However, this shouldn't discourage anyone with disparate background from applying. I'm an engineer, and I sent in my application as well. Just incase lol!
It is a waste of time arguing with people like you. Read the question that was asked and compare it to my answer.
Wordsmith: Olabode, hi. I applied at the University of Tampere online. I intend applying at Helsinki as well. Please when sending my transcript to the respective schools, do I send them as different mails to UAF or do I have two enclosures with the University's stamp and all, on each and then one big folder to put the two seperate applications into?
Do i also have to have copies of study certificates certified by an issuing institution or by a notary public?
Would really appreciate feedback as soon as possible.
Bros...good morning o Just to make some clarifications, first your university has to send your transcript directly to UAF or the university depending on the application process and this package can also include your university certificate notarized by the University. Second, you have to send your application containing notarized certificates and other requirements.
If you are applying to more than one program/university that the admission services is administered by UAF, you can send the applications in two different envelopes enclosed in one big envelope. The name of the program, university and application number should be written on the smaller application envelopes.
For the transcript, your university needs to send one transcript one program. For example in ur case, your university needs to send two transcripts. You have to sing this into the ears of the exam/records officer at your University's admission office "please stamp the back flap of the envelope containing the transcripts".
Whenever you have a question please kindly review the thread, this question was answered more than 5 times during last year's admission process ....
Bigmarx: Mr bode, Good evening. What about graduates whose discipline are not finance/accounting related and do not belong to the listed professional bodies yet they are quite interested. Do you think they may face stiffer obstacles or will not be considered at all?
It is a level playing field during the recruitment exercise, bachelors degree disciplines are not taken into consideration.
panachuku: these jokers again, some pple were meant to resume october, they left dem in pending mode. yet una don start new recruitment. Is HR function dat hard to perfect for these guys
You should learn to keep quiet, ask questions and think before you type rubbish on a public forum. This particular recruitment exercise is for the tax function/department and the successful applicants are expected to resume in February 2016. The one you were referring to was mostlikely for the audit function. I am sure that the guys in "pending mode" according to you will be contacted in the near future. I am aware that there are a large number of Associate 1 that were not promoted at the end of the financial year, so this might have affected the recruitment exercise. Deloitte employs close about 100 graduates per year...u think say na bread?
Bros....there are lot of peeps that have finished NYSC that are younger than 26. Deloitte is a firm with a vertical chain of command and there are many guys aged between 23 and 25 that are Semi Seniors and Senior associate....Don't you think it will be awkward for these guys to be giving tasks and also correcting someone that is very much older than them.
Another major reason is that as a consultant and auditor, the first 3 years are usually filled with long hours of work and travelling, younger peeps who are not thinking of marriage are the preferred group of people.
Growingboi: ok boss. Hw every for Tampere n TUT na?
Boss...we dey push am. Tampere make sense wella, very clean and well organized. All of una Wey dey come make una ready for reports, assignments and compensatory tasks o.... I dey Brussels @ the moment o...doing a Eurotour with some of my classmates.
frankie2K: That's good bro, We are on the same boat, had HND and PGD in computer science so I am sending three transcript, I started sending transcript via nipost registered mail since 19th Nov and a site was given to me to track(www.track-trace.com) from my Aba nipost office but when I tracked, nothing show so I went back and the lady said that maybe the tracking info has been changed in lagos,i paid 670 naira per package, which site you use track yours as UAF never reply me since then
Sorry for my aproko o....Hope you confirmed from the program coordinator, if you can apply to the Masters program with ur PGD qualification?
