Why don't you press your bank for letter and forget SOAs. Or do Tbills and show SOA it came from. Why all this mathematics and stress?

You nailed it. IRCC only asked for a letter. That letter must contain some specific information. If this can be gotten from your bank, you are good at least till you get an ADR if they require clarifications. If this letter can not be obtained, then you can start talking SoA.

Mails leaving Canada go through scanners. The scanner might reveal the card and it might be confisticated. I heard there is a way you can write an authorisation letter or /and send it via USA. Don't how easy/ true this is.

An average balance accurately shows if you have successfully maintained the balance over the 6 months prior to submission of your application or if there were lump sums.
Here is how mine was calculated:
Assume letter is requested for on 13th of October 2017. Bank starts counting the six months prior from the day before.
Balance as at May 12
Balance as at June 12
Balance as at July 12
Balance as at August 12
Balance as at September 12
Balance as at October 12
All these are added together and the sum total is divided by 6. That is the Average balance for the last 6 months
If the money was dumped in as a lump sum in less than 6 months it will show. You will have 3.6 million in your account and average balance will be like 800,000 .
If the amount has been there for the last six months, the difference in closing balance and average balance won't be a lot.

Actually, PCC from alagbon is the only recognised for this canada waka. So I guess we are being charged extra cost for TO and FRO sending to lag plus more hands need their cut. [color=#000099][/color]

Please, concerning PCC... I live in badagry area of Lagos State, but I work as a lecturer in a university across the border in Cotonou. I cross the border almost every day to and from work. I have been doing this for Four years, but I have only passed a night in Cotonou.

Will I be required to produce a PCC for Benin Republic?

Do you have Cotonou stamps on your international passport? If yes, you need a "made in cotonou PCC" if no, you never travel before be that hence you only need PCC from Alagbon.... wishing you the best.
