When is "very soon"?

I'm not sure what you actually mean - the best will be for each nation to work towards betterment of society and advancement in all spheres of life rather than comparing.

It is highly unlikely that SA will be surpassed in many indexes of development by any African country - it will take rather a very long period for that to happen.

Take for instance the energy sector. Soon SA will be producing up to 55000MW of electricity - which other African country can do that in the next 20years?

I earnest agree with you but the fact still remain Nigeria has what it takes to out pace South Africa within the next five years. It's a matter of determination. South Africa is yet to reach a stage we can't walk to. And to your question, I can nominate northern Africa countries which I believe can reach the stage before 10 years. Only that I can't find any within the west.

Truth be said, Nigeria has brighter future in compare to South Africa. We might be behind now but I see us filling the gap very soon. The number of problem Nigeria faces here, South Africa can't withstand half of it. I only blame our leaders for holding us behind. I pray Buhari do the needful and save our good name. #IBealiveInNigeria*

My younger sis,for some unfortunate reason got to her centre terribly late. Exam was scheduled for 6.30am nd she arrived the centre by 8..
After so much pleas, she was allowed in. She hastily managed to answer questions on 3 subjects...Chemistry,Physics and Biology.

When her score came out the following day,she scored 222. That's a 15yr old child writing JAMB for the very first time in her life.

And what did you sister get in English since she didn't touch it. If she score above (5) that's a proof for you that she's only lucky. Your sister hasn't done post utme, so she can still write jamb for five more times. Cheers

did you thought all this out on your own? Your imaginations must be extreme. How did you know nobody talked about Oduduwa being a Benin prince, are you a deity? The Benins were using the title of Omo n'Oba for their kings long before the Yorubas just like OLOKUN was bein worshiped by them before the Yorubas jump in again.

Olokun? Do you by any means know the meaning of OLOKUN sir?

I taught Oduduwa fell from the sky ??

These people are only confused. Doing the days of Oduduwa, Oromiyan, Eweka and the rest, non of them ever think nor claim Oduduwa came from Bini. In fact, they were clueless of who Oduduwa was. If Oduduwa had really come from Benin and his grand son is needed to be a King, would he chang his title? NO. Oduduwa WASN'T IN ANY WAY A LINEAGE OF BENIN LAND and his grand Prince cannot use a strange land kingship title. THAT'S WHY THEY NEED TO START ANOTHER LINE BECAUSE ANOTHER RACE IS TAKING OVER. now to those that claim OBA is a Benin word, how come Oromiyan that had no understanding of their language choose that nane.? Everyone knows Oba is the overall title for Yoruba kings but these kings need to use their home land title and abandon the title "Oba" and since Benin wasn't a Yoruba land then, Oromiyan had to use mere "OBA OF BENIN" THE BEEN BORROWED HAS HE HAD KNOWN RULERS AS OBA IN YORUBA LAND and start another kingdom which make it a subject to his father's EMPIRE. That's why the Benin kings needed the blessinfs of ooni of Ife (I don't think they still do it.) during their coronation just as a child will need his parents\boss prayer during marriage \freedom.

It was later that some folks thinking how Yoruba has much effect on their kingdom that make them claim Oduduwa must have come from Benin which is a. Complete spurious.

The fact that Oduduwa wasn't born in Yoruba land does not call he is from Benin. But truth be said His blood has mixed with Yoruba. I also think since Benin is closer to us, it is possible for him to have come from there but if that has been the case, he would have made that clear to his children. Know well that Yorubas have been in existence before him including Culture, Language, art and the rest and since Oduduwa didn't occupy the office with war or any battle, he can't bring in any culture that wasn't of the Yoruba's. Now, I think it's kinda impossible for Oduduwa to have come from Benin without the Yorubas knowing. And if they do, they won't have hidden the truth because they regard him as god and won't love the background of their father died or lost.

Now, let's look from another angle: assume he came from Benin and latter sent one of his child back to rule, the Benin wouldn't have allowed him to rule. Why? SINCE THE KING RULING THEN HAD children, one of his children would have occupied the post. And don't forget THE BENIN CLAIM ODUDUWA WAS BANISHED.

Now, the Yoruba culture was rich and have diverse meaning because of their high population which make it possible for their culture to have influence with the Benin and never forget that even if ORUNMIYAN was lineage if Benin, he lived in Yoruba land which means he can only take hus culture there. I never mean to say Edo culture don't miss with the Yoruba oh. After all, the world has been a global village before modernisation only that it get better rout. Everyone will borrow from one another.

#drop my pen.
No mind some errors oh, I managed to type this.
Both Benin and Yoruba, Orunmila na father of both.
