AgricultureRe: Intending And First-time Farmers: Lets Meet Here by OLAMIMO12(op): 8:44pm On Apr 08, 2015
Let me quickly put in these lines. Any intending farmer, should procure simple farm tools. Especially protective wears. These includes gloves, rainboots, helmets, nose covers, .........etc. These will protect you from sustaining avoidable injury. This is from experience.
Happy farming

@ Olamimo. I thought you are new in farming or an intending farmer. Have you cultivated water melon before?. I read your post where you were asking for experience farmers to be of assistance.
How come you are all over thread giving advises to suppose intending farmers?
Please I am kind of confused.
@ Jethro2........am a first-time farmer right. Am growing watermelon currently. If i give advice that may lead anyone astray, pls do prompt correction. Meanwhile, cool your temper, ok?

I've been trading live for 2 months after fine-tuning my trading strategy for a year with dummy accounts. I use a scalping strategy with moderately sized lots. I planned to make my first account withdrawingl after 6 months of trading.

Forex is definitely my thing and will go on trading more wiser as I go along.
Let me tell you one thing. Forex is not as easy as anyone may think. You may succeed after series of loss. Bear it in mind that forex is an ocean. Sailing through it is difficult.

I'm an average retail forex trader with an account in ForexTime (formerly Alpari), Nigeria and I'm in trouble.

I lost money I could not afford to lose when I got margine-called on Friday while trading the non-farm jobs data news. Borrowed money.

I'm feeling so sober right now and it occurred to me that if ever I was in the position to help a troubled trader by direct financial help, if I could I would.

Could I receive like help now from fellow traders?

The challenge for would-be helpers is knowing if one is truly deserving.
@OP......sorry for your trouble. i hav few questions for you.
1. how long hav you been in trading?
2. hav u ever withdrew any of your profit before now?
3. from your experience, going back to fx market is a right step?
till i hear from you, take heart

Thanks Jasper and Olamimo. When you planted watermelon what was the Return on your investment?

How did you sell your produce? 100 hectares seems like a very large quantity to be able to dispose don't you think?
Selling or marketing is a challenge for every producer. I think there is no ready market for any product. Yet, you will make your way if you do your homework timely.

Hi, i am following ur thread keenly and av few questions. I am based in ibadan and would like to start a small one as study.
The land i av is beside a stream dat and floods easily is it gud for planting cucumber?
Where can i buy the seeds in ibadan?
Will i av to be watering the plants and how often?
I will be happy to av answers to this questions as i keep on wit this thread to learn.
@ jovalkom, thank you for these questions. i believe others will benefit from these answers.
1. Easily flooded areas or water-lodging land are not good for cucumber. Well drained sandy soil is perfectly ok.
2. For seeds, contact Agrotropic Nig Ltd. custom bus stop, agodi ibadan.
3. Cucumbers are heavy feeders. water it well." Keep it moist all through" is the rule of thumb.
Dont hesitate to ask more questions.

Let's see. An Illiterate, old and probably suffering from senile dementia, a former tyrant/dictator, a coup planner, a blood tasty beast, an incorruptible one that chose to serve a corrupt regime( Abacha), a "saint"that now dines with thieves to have power.

Well, the prognosis is not looking good for the illiterate senile one, but hey! Everyone deserves a second chance, so the cattle herder now has his chance. Goodluck to him.
@pazienza...... can you co-ordinate a single house successfully with this your attitude? Aye ma nika oooo.
