literarymathy: It's not late at all. You are still fresh in the system. The key to making a First is to think unusually and do things that your course mates would not do. It attracts attention to you. Read wide and beyond the course range and always quote prominent scholars in your exams. Always try to teach your lecturer through your scripts and seminar presentations. They will gain an admiration for you. Don't limit yourself in any way. Break the bounds. If others are doing it, DON'T. Go BEYOUND. It worked for me. It will work for you.
N. B. Avoid late night readings. It's damaging to the brain and only enhances short term memory. It's bad on the long run. Always EAT well. Thanks for great advice sir. About the late night reading, i noticed it didn't help me at all in my 100l 1st semester. Until i read a book explaining short term and long term memory, i was always confused on why some people retain information longer than others. Short term memory = input + output Long term memory = input + output + review |

Kikyben2: Yes U can! I had a cgpa of 3.9 in my 200L, I still graduated with a first class....though I not only worked hard, I worked smart.
I set goals for myself each semester, at a point I considered a B as a failure in any course. I wouldn't sound like it was easy....but if I could achieve it, I believe you can do even much better. Whoa! Very inspiring. You remind me of one 1st class student who said 'anything less than A' is failure. Thanks |

Requirements: Rooted phone USB DRIVERS (not ADB drivers) QPST DOWNLOAD QPST, INSTALL IT. Go to start menu > programs > locate QPST folder. Select service programming. work in offline or online mode(whichever works for you). Move through the options till you NAS. Select NAS. Click read from phone. You should see your IMEI number. Now modify it. And click write to phone. Your phone should reboot. Make sure your USB drivers are properly installed. If not QPST won't detect your phone. If you couldn't change your IMEI with the method I posted try this: Open Qpst > RF NV ITEM manager > Select file > Select 'read supported item'. It'll load. Navigate to number 550 Change the IMEI. Click write NV. phone will reboot. Thats all. http://www.x-drivers.com/catalog/flash/mobile_phones/companies/qualcomm/models/qpst/12051.html http://www.mediafire.com/?bfka5l05a3whyda |

richiefizzy: In the history of RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (RSUST) no man or woman born by a human has gotten first class in LAW. u wan die? Meanwhile op all the courses u write niggers don bang first class tire... U dnt even know why law is even respected. They Know little about everything, even all the courses mentioned above, they little about all of them. That's why people in other profession are educated while lawyers are Learned... So pls modify ur post.
I'm sorry to tell you as a law student that you just committed a fallacy of argumentum ad ignorantium So ur write up doesn't apply. Nobody has gotten a 1st class in statistics in my school and it isn't in the op's list. Your point isn't really valid. But I think law should be in the top 3 cos' two of their exams was listed in the ten toughest exams in the world |
Education › Re: Hardest Courses To Study In Nigeria by Olamyyde(m): 4:04pm On Oct 31, 2014 |
DailyNews: my brother, even in India, the toughest course anyone can think of is engineering- mechanical, nano, robotics, etc. What makes engineering tough is the fact that they combine classroom work with workshop practicals...so if u can read and can't do practical/physical work, then u won't excel in mechanical engineering.
Or why do u think few ladies or will I say females study mechanical engineering Everywhere in the world, every university in the world, mechanical engineering department always have the least number of female students, and social life in any mechanical engineering department is zero! Most mech engine students don't have girlfriends; many don't drink or club cos its a hard place to be, unlike medical students who have time to socialise with women and even club.
I pity mechanical engineering students shaa yea, I agree with you. I'm also an engineering student |

Sheggy13: U think Computer Science is photoshop and Ms Word. Do u know how many programming languages you are expected to master before u graduate. Do u know what it takes to build an application like nairaland from scratch, with just pure coding not to mention fields like Artificial intelligence, Data structures and algorithm, Automata theory, Computer Architecture and the likes. Don't be so confident in downgrading a course u know little about. Ask guys from maths, physics and Engineering that come to borrow courses in Computer science how their experiences were? baba....all programming languages are branches of the same tree. It doesn't mean it's hard |

Yes I mean Africa not in the world all universities are unique on their on way. I wonder why people here on Nairaland are obsessed about their school, and they will be ranting rubbish many Universties are been over hype.
This is my opinion. seconded....nigerian students can hype their respective schools ehn! |

Raiders: lol. I don't think reading in class all night long really help. Most students usually go there to sleep and end up achieving nothing. I know some guys that always read in class during the night. but ended up failing some courses. Most Nigeria students don't know how to plan their time. The best time to read is during daytime after classes and weekends. I only sleep in class once and it was during Pre-degree days. I regretted going to class that night because none of us read. All we did was talk and sleep all through the night. That was the last time I ever study in night class and I was lucky to graduate with 2.1 without going to night class. well said! Night reading seldom helps |
