FieryJoe: Morning Peeps! @Justwise & others who have successfully secured their visa, kindly help check my account attached stmt particularly the Total debit vs. Total credit. Does total debit/credit matter even when you have the right total balance? Will it be an issue considering the fact that expected balance in account at submission is N19,500,000.
Please help as I do not want to make any stupid mistake. hope to submit in 2 days. Hope for your response I beg. If your deposit did not go below the expected balance at any time during the 28 days you were counting the money, then you don't have a problem. But if it went below the expected balance, then you have to begin afresh from after the date you completed it again. |

Ajibolaoi: Good morning great people....i am writing on behalf of my wife. She hold a BSc in Nursing science and she has been practicing for the past 4year. Now, she want to apply for a course in Salford University, the course is a full time course based. It's a "Work Based Learning: Using and Disseminating evidence into practice" The course is majorly designed for Nurses and medical practitioners who has been working and need advancement in his/her career. Meaning that, only medical staffs can apply with evidence of practicing.
My question is: if offered admission, can the embassy grant her visa? Hope they will not denied her VISA because the course is a Pg course since she already had BSc.....Hope they will not expect her to go for M.Sc instead of Pg.
Note: we consider this course because of tuition fee and we also av someone in Manchester who can welcome her.
I will be grateful to hear from you. Thank you all, do have a blessed day. Read up on this very carefully and thoroughly. Follow the links and learn. https://www.gov.uk/student-visa/course |

Preeskaar: Please am about to apply for the pre-cas and I intend to use my husband account for the application since it has the funds for over 28days. Do you think Its ok to use my husband's account since he's my sponsor or I should just transfer the money to my account and wait for another 28days? it's very OK to use your husband's account. For visa application, let him also be applying as your dependant. For pre-CAS, explain to them that he's your husband and you'll be applying with him. If he is not applying with you, then put the money in your account and count 28 days or more. |

wolewole200: I appreciate all the help being rendered in this platform. I have learnt quite a lot here.
A few questions though which I'll love to get answers from the gurus here.
I have offers from about 10 Universities in the UK but I have narrowed it down to 3 actually which are Teeside University (MPH 2 years with internship) Northumbria University (MPH 1 year) University of Glasgow (MPH 1 year)
I am expecting a positive decision from UofG by month-end as regards Scholarship as the cost is very high (£23,500) so it is my first on the log. Teeside is cheap @£7,500/session and I also have a discount of 2,000 so it is my back up plan here. Northumbria is the 3 on the log here because of cost too.
My questions are as follows: 1. Can I go for my PhD immediately after the MPH and won't it affect the 2 years post graduation work visa? That is, can I apply for it after the PhD? And can I attend another University apart from the one I want to do my MPH? 2. Planning to go with family. Can my wife who will be a dependant also apply into the University when she gets there? As in can she go to school in part time? 3. Please what is the prospect of getting work and living expenses in Middlesbrough, Glasgow and Newcastle?
@justwise and others please help with these questions. Answer to question 1 = Yes. You only get the PGWP if you apply for it. if you don't, you won't be given. And you can apply for the second study visa without having to prove funds. 2. Yes, your wife can study |

I will recommend bradford to Leeds, you will save more money living in Bradford than Leeds though Leeds is more developed.
Leeds is just 20mins away from Bradford by train or 45mins by coach Thanks for your response. What about job prospects? Which city would be better? I'm looking at caregiving as I have good experience in the field. |

justwise: Manchester is a very big city with affordable cost of living, there are more job opportunities in Manchester than Leeds and Sheffield. Leeds is London of Yorkshire , lively, big student community, good transportation hub and about 45mins away from Manchester.
Sheffield is big as well with two big universities,a well known shopping centre and two football clubs.
Job opportunities in Sheffield will not be as much as Manchester and Leeds
My preference will be Manchester-Leeds then Sheffield
All three cities have good transportation network and not far from each other.
Their universities are well ranked as well. Justwise, your opinion pls? How practical will it be for a family of four to live in Leeds but the student schooling in Bradford? Or living and schooling in Bradford with the dependent partner working in Leeds. Which will you recommend and pls give your reasons. thanks |

BELUSHI: I have about N16M in my account for over 28 days now. This will be enough for maintenance for family of 4(main applicant inclusive). I am expecting another N10m into my account . Can I just pay the balance of my tuition fees from the fresh deposit and proceed to the visa applications without waiting for another 28 days once my CAS is been issued? Yes. But make sure it is reflected on your CAS. Otherwise, you will need to attach a receipt Tom your school to your application. In other words, there should be evidence that you have paid full tuition. |

it's not too early. if you have your admission and money, go ahead and apply. you can apply up to 6 months before your program start date. and it will still be processed within the normal time for the amount you paid. Besides, applying now will give you an edge because you will avoid the 'rush hour' so to speak. |

mofehintijesu: Please I need an urgent help and guidance on my brp, I applied for a student visa wit 3 of my dependants last year. My issue is our brp card has 12months validity on it instead of 18month. Initially I over look it since a letter I got said we can stay up to 18month. A friend told me is wrong and a mistake that the brp should carry up to 18month validity instead of 12months. Have sent mail for the corrections but haven't gotten a reply, please kindly enlighten me on the steps to take https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/533854/BRP_OA_information_leaflet_-_July_2016.pdfCheck the second to last question. You should have applied for a correction not more than 10 days after collecting your BRB. But the available option now may be to apply for renewal before it expires. |

Happy new month fellows. To all the gurus in the building thank you for your continuous support.
Please I have an issue at hand, after my application and biometric, I was given a blank Passport, after mail and phone call to TSL I was given the attached negative response.
So I said I should throw it to the house perhaps I can receive the appropriate advice and way forward cos my mind is as blank as a whiteboard.
Kindly assist with a professional comment.
Thanks This is why the schools that ask for prove of funds before issuing CAS are actually doing you a favor. They will find out this error and help you correct it before you apply for visa. |

Toxheen: Good day everyone. I have a few questions please.
I got a fully funded PhD scholarship (fees and monthly stipends) at the University of Warwick.
1. Will the offer email suffice as a proof of funding?
2. I plan to bring my spouse along, will she need to also provide an evidence of funding?
*My monthly stipend is above 1000 pounds
Thank you as you respond. proof of funds for PhD and MSc are different. If your funding does not cover for your spouse then you'll prove funds for her. |

Alezie: Postgraduate, I applied two weeks ago and got admission within 5 hours There is no Birkbeck university, London on the list of sponsors. Rather, there is Birkbeck College, University of London. Ensure that you are applying to the right schools. If it is the one on the sponsors list, then you have nothing to worry about. |

Alezie: Good evening all.. I mentioned that I got admission from Birkbeck University, London and I have done my thorough research, it actually checks out as a higher education institution provider and I won’t have issues with post study visa but here is my dilemma;
1) It is the only school that has asked for Tuition deposit as cheap as 200£, how would it reflect on my CAS if my tuition is 18,000£ and I paid just 200£? Should I pay 1000£ instead since I have that available instead of 200£?
2) Why is it not so popular considering how cheap the deposit and the flexibility of tuition fee is(You can pay monthly), I have never heard anybody talk about the school, I am so scared.
3) They only offer evening classes, is this a good thing?
Your response would really help! just ensure your study is full time and not part time |

Alezie: Good evening everyone, earlier today I received an admission mail from Birkbeck University for sports management, is there anyone who has schooled there or presently schooling there? I am asking because the offer is too good to be true, just 200pounds deposit and very flexible payment, is there any hidden catch? Ensure you are applying to the right kind of school. A Higher Education provider with track record and your program is more than 9 months. Otherwise, you may not qualify for all the incentives that are attracting most international students. |

quinstershaw: Good morning. Can one have more than one sponsor for a student in UK? Preferable a family member and an outsider just to show proof of funds? no, your parents or yourself or a government scholarship. otherwise ask the person to put the money in your account or partner's or parents if you aren't married. |

LagosismyHome: I have no clue but I just asked a friend who did similar...... the main applicant school is London but when the family were to join 3 months later as London is expensive and its been remote learning due to covid, they got a place down south ( about 2 hours drive to london). They submitted the tenancy agreement in their dependent application, no issues were raised and visa issued .
However some cases might differ so just always be prepared to explain why if asked Is it required to show one has secured accommodation before applying for visa? I sent you a DM. pls reply |

justwise: Since you have a good work experience in your field i suggest you work towards Tier 4 work visa rather than extra one year work placement that will cost you £7.500.
Work placement here can be anything, they hardly give you something related to your area of studies. There are benefits to going for two years study with placements as against the one year. 1. The one year option isnt 7,500 but 13,000 from the screen shot I saw. So no much tuition difference 2. Paying tuition will be less pressure for one who doesn't have full tuition on hand or one who is sponsored from back home. 3. Enough time to save/ arrange funds for PSW application and IHS. 4. Enough time to arrange appropriate skilled work. Less pressure. My thoughts... |
