underage: @OP, as you said every man will be rewarded with a hurul ayn (maidens) but his wife or wives on earth will be their leader/leaders. According to the Holy quran, All women in jannah will equally be turned to as beautiful as a hurul ayn or even more. As for their reward, they will all be rewarded with an eternal life of peace, love and comfort. Nothing will be lacked jannah.Muhehehehehe ![]() |
mikeansy: exactly my thoughtsIt's sad, though. |
shymexx: I think it has more to do with the English dynasty. If Ed were ethnic Scot, Welsh or Irish - he would still get the same treatment. You are right. It is about the dynasty. this snobbish attitude is in their DNA. |
This ultra-Right newspaper is a blight on Blighty. Sadly, this paper and the Sun shape public opinion in Blighty. |

Policewoman: It's a pity the dreams of the founding fathers was ruined by tribalism which they started and it grew into an uncontrollable monster.Blame dem Briticos |
May God forgive dem Briticos |
AjanleKoko: Interesting. Even worse hotelsHahaha ![]() Katz, see yabbing ![]() |
AjanleKoko: I take it you live in the UK. So I understand your POV ![]() No! He lives in Spain. |
AjanleKoko: I trust you're not referring to the UK 'budget' hotels, where you basically have to be your own conciergeAnd, you would agree with me the word "concierge" is foreign as far as naija is concerned. Dunno about hotels like Hilton in Naija sha. In naija, they just want to help with your luggage/bag when you are not leprous. It's my bag, let me hold it jare. |
Even some B&B in the UK are better than Naija huge hotels in terms of services |
Katsumoto: Bros thats not accurate ![]() Thanks jare. Europe rules |
AjanleKoko: I trust you're not referring to the UK 'budget' hotels, where you basically have to be your own conciergeYes bro, I meant UK budget hotels. Premier Inn, Ibis, etc. At Etap, you can even get rooms as cheap as 26 pounds and the rooms are not bad . Although, you have to pay a pound in order to use their Internet. And, a free cuppa sef ![]() |
Rossikk: That is SIMPLY NOT TRUE.You are wrong, bro. In Western countries, you can expect the rooms to be in tip-top condition. You can also expect quality mattress, quality tissue paper, top-class reception, quick response, clean and nice-smelling toilet, and, all in all, a satisfying experience. And, I'm talking about budget hotels. Most of them also have WIFI, though, often, you are asked to pay a token in order to enjoy this service. In Nigeria, you would struggle to get any of these. The Premier Hotel (although not 5 star) in Ibadan is popular but you would struggle to get tissue paper let alone quality one, functioning AC, no WIFI at all. The baths are dirty and not working. Yet the cheapest room there is 15,500 Naira. There is one called the Halmod Inn behind Moore Street at Yaba. Nice building architecturally but that's where it ends. No WIFI. The cheapest room there is 12,000 Naira. And, what do you get for this? Nada. I can give you more examples. And, don't let me talk about their erratic power supply. Whereas most budget hotels in the UK, for example, charge between 30 - 60 pounds and all these things are always provided and much more. |
Not as much as Nigerians overrate theirs. Perhaps you are referring to their services, but architecturally we are just too behind.
Wrong. Architecturally, we are okay. Services, we are far behind. Budget hotels abroad give better services compared with naija '5'-star ones |
StateOfMind: Nah, way after nihort, towards baptist cemetery. Jericho\idishin is just my daily route, I don't stay there.Okay, sweetie. Foodco chicken pie 'together', some day ![]() Following you already ![]() |
StateOfMind: Lol..what about jericho, I'm all ears..Where in Jericho you dey? Richard Akinjide end? ![]() |
StateOfMind: Huh? Are you their baker or.....Come back here, Stateofmind. Let's talk about your Jericho ![]() |
Is that bullet proof vest? |
felifeli: They sell everything you need. You can even buy frozen stews too like egusi stew ogbono stew and several other. I actually wish they had more imported stuff like frozen meals I used to pick up at Sainsburys in the night when I don't feel like cooking or chinese takeawaysNice one ![]() |
chaircover: I didnt see them . . .but do they sell tatashe and ata rodo? I saw onions though. In short can I cook a pot of soup with ingredients that I pick up from shoprite or do i still have to get some things from the market? ![]() I haven't seen tatashe but they sell rodo. They even sell Epo Pupa, Dried Shawa, etc. You can cook a whole pot of soup with stuff from Shoprite. Plaintain sef dey ![]() |
chaircover: What I meant by lunch was the fried rice/jollof rice orishirishi. Sandwich ke. As for me, I just walked past their sandwiches o! LOLAnd, Shoprite is the only place in Ibadan where you can get fruits like Peach, Nectarine, really good pears, Plum, etc. And vegetable such as Cauliflower, etc |
