well I won't answer any of those. I just believe the bible now, not popular opinion. And I don't judge anyone cos all we who now believe the gospel of grace, once had the same ideas and views about grace and law just like you do. We all heard the gospel msg then too and shoved it off as well as false doctrine. But when we decided to take the word for what it says, rather than what we were taught in sunday school, we could finally see.
Just one last observation. If u check the post of every one standing for the law on this thread, you would notice one thing, sin is always on their mind. The law keeps them always concious of sin and self. Look at how many times you made mention of 'sin' and 'self' in your questions, making me to size myself based on my performance. You mentioned christ only once. That's exactly what the law does. Keeps you self concious and puts Christ at the background. Grace Keeps you Christ concious and you don't even see yourself anymore because under grace, you and all your sinful nature, are actually dead Rom 6:2-3.

I would conclude with this story of an ex-atheist I stumbled on online. He testified that he saw Jesus as different from other historical figures of old. This was because where Ghandi pointed people to admirable words of wisdom, Mohammad, Buddha and several other religious leaders of old he mentioned pointed people to all the laws/things they should do to please God and gain acceptance with him, but this man Jesus was different because he wasn't pointing people to laws, rules or words of wisdom, he was pointing people to himself as the ONLY way to God. That audacity made him unique from other men that have existed in history. That got me thinking. While we christians read the bible and see laws and more laws, this atheist read the bible and saw Christ. I pray the Holy Spirit give us all understanding to really see and know.
I actually think we should be self concious,so that we won't get carried away with the world, sin, lose our focus(which is heaven) and lose our holiness in christ.

Why did the bible tell us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling? That's the problem with you guys. You guys don't want to believe that you can lose your salvation. Even the bible said those that think are strong(in faith) should take heed lest they fall(where do you think they are falling to?)

When you are saved, you don't automatically become like angels that can't sin again because you guys claim christ will transform you to a kind of being that won't be able to sin again. That's pure deceit! You will still get that urge to go back to those things you claimed to forsake and a lot of temptation will happen.

Now this is where grace comes in, as a person who does not want to fall(lose his salvation),you go to God and ask God for grace to remain in righteousness, grace to remain holy, grace to resist temptation. That's what grace is for. It gives you the strength to say NO to sin,to remain steadfast in God.

And remember, without holiness no man shall see God(make heaven). Jesus himself said that we should be perfect just as his father in heaven(God) is perfect. So you are trying to say he didn't know what he was saying when he said that? He can't tell us to do what is impossible. So claiming perfection is impossible is a lie because Jesus told us to be perfect.

And concerning the hell fire issue,if you are not found holy and perfect before God then you won't make it to heaven(yea! Hard truth). This issue is so serious that Jesus said it plainly that if any part of our body would cause us to SIN(which definitely lead to hell),we should cut it off. So why should I not be concious of sin. In fact if I am a spirit filled Christian and I am not concious of sin,the holy spirit in me start to caution me so that I won't fall in sin unconciously. Especially sin that easily besetts.

My dear 'grace' brothers and sisters, don't be deceived by the lying and seducing spirits of the end time. Jesus himself told us to stay away from sin.

ZORO47:
If asking God for forgiveness is what your heart tells u to do then do it, it's not a harm at all, it's all based on level of understanding. But this is what the word says, your sins are not forgiven simply because you told God you are sorry and you asked nicely. Your sins must be punished, if God sweeps then under the carpet simply because u said sorry, then that would make God unjust. The reason our sins are forgiven is because our sins (present, past and future sins) have already been punished on the cross in Christ. Christ offered remission for our sins. Now where Christians have an issue is whether the sins Christ paid for are only for past sins, but the word doesn't leave us in the dark as regards that. We are forgiven of past, present and future sins by the single sacrifice of Christ on the cross Hebrews 10:12-18. . Non of them escaped. We live forgiven. So it's not wrong to confess to God when we miss it, and also thank him for already punishing Christ, instead of us.
So no more hell fire for you as long as you believe in christ abi?

i had to like ur comment cox i see u obviously read and understand the bible u read. God will deliver us from these yahoo boi pastors with $2,000 3piece suits..
But it's like pastors don't want to accept the truth about this tithe matter. Even the pastors I believe are genuine preach that tithe is compulsory.

Is it because they know we humans are naturally stingy with our money and God allows them to use that Malachi 3:10 to instill fear in people?
Christianity EtcRe: 10 Bible Verses On Tithing by OlaSammie: 12:48pm On Mar 12, 2017
holamiday:
I do not do tithing and never will. My guide on giving comes from 2Corinthians9:10. It says & i quote 'Every man as he purposes in his heart, let him give. Not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver'.

Let me explain it to you. You owe no church 10% of your salary per month. Rather, you owe the world every good thing you are capable of giving. Some folks pay tithes of millions of naira but cannot give 5k to a church member in need, talk less of a non-church member or non-christian. That's foolishness & such people are guilty before God, believe it or not. Generosity must be total. The scripture further says not of 'necessity'. That means, if you must pay tithes, pay it, but let it not be because of fear of the devourer or fear of being tagged a thief by God. Let it come from you cheerfully & freely. It also says 'not grudgingly'. Some christians feel punished paying their tithe. Such giving is a total waste.

When money comes to me, i give as i purpose in my heart. Sometimes i give all. Other times i give half, 20%, 10% etc it all depends on what i decide to do. Sometimes i don't even give at all. What's important is, i am happy and grateful to the God who has made it possible for me to give. That's the way it should be. Our people have taken holy words & mutilated them to soothe their own selfish desires & deceive many. Not me.

Whether you pay your money to a church or not, the name of God will never go down. That, i can tell you.

NB: who even said the bible referred to 'money' when talking about tithes?
God bless you o! The bible meant your land produce(food) when it said tithe. So that there will be abundance of food in God's house(Malachi 3:10).

I don't know who turned it to money. I am not one of these hyper-grace new generation Christian but I really have a problem with this tithe matter.

so you want cyber cafes to be sidelined just because you were not given a book, a book that is supply by jamb, and most of the times you settle the jamb guys to get the books, which they always under supply, you are equally talking of securing your future, how can you ever have a peaceful and secured future if unemployment is on the rise......

peoples means of survival is as important as your future.
So the only business of cyber cafes is for them to register JAMB candidates abi?
EducationRe: UTME Registration: Cyber Café Owners Want Senate To Investigate New JAMB Policy by OlaSammie: 12:04pm On Mar 09, 2017
I personally think it's a great idea to stop all these cyber cafes from toying with candidates future. My experience with those guys was not palatable. They collected my money(not official fee o,their profit included) and did not give me the literature. I went there several times and they were telling me different stories that the book was not available.

Even when I went to reprint, they collect five times the normal amount.

I have even heard of stories of candidates getting to their examination centres on examination day and discovering they couldn't thumb print because they were not on JAMB's database(while they registered in cyber cafes).

The reformation the new registrar is trying to do is very good as long as the CBT centres do not charge above the official fee and are very reliable.

This is not an issue of small scale business,it's an issue of securing candidates future.

Christianity EtcRe: 4 Ways To Abandon A Life Of Sin - Kikiotolu by OlaSammie: 1:00pm On Feb 12, 2017
kerryjossy:
All u need to do is just BELIEVE that Christ died. When u do, u will realise that u are dead to sin. And while"Under God’s new way, we obtain a closeness with God those under the old only dreamed of. We’re born a second time (Jn 3:3–7) with a new human spirit and God’s Spirit living in us (Ezek. 36:26–27). We belong to God no matter what (2 Tim. 2:13; 1 Pet. 2:9). And while the old way left Israel torn and tattered in their attempts to obey, the new way CAUSES us to WANT WHAT GOD WANTS!(Phil. 2:13; Heb: 8:10)." So u see, no much stress. Just believe and watch everything work out for your good.
So you are trying to say that as soon as you believe christ died for you,you automatically become like God and you can no longer sin(because according to you,God starts working on some stuffs in you) or even if you sin,you should not bother because you already have a new spirit in you.

Our problem is that we plan too much in this country with no action. Protests against Trump are going on all over America and Europe. No leader anounced anything. No body leading and it's peaceful. Our own we announce and announce Uniform.

However
This guy must have carried the Load of Nigeria in the last one week.

Before you crucify him...do you have any idea how our blood sucking politicians must have threatened him and his family.the number of calls he must have gotten In the last 48 hours. They may as well have kidnapped his parents and told him to go ahead and see what becomes of them. He said the protest is not worth the life of anybody.

Politicians are vampires. They must have gone through the mother. And Tuface loves his mum to a fault.

A man will not tell you everything.

Again Nigerian police may create disorder that mat lead to deaths, instead of protecting the protesters. They will arrest Tuface, claiming they warned him.

Take it or leave it. Democracy is dead under APC government. People have never been so scared of either talking or acting against the ills of government.
You are very correct. Exactly what's on my mind. Just imagine that you have to bear the guilt for the rest of your life that thousands of people died because they came out with you to protest. Very bad!
Christianity EtcRe: Apostle Suleman To Appear Before DSS With 30 Lawyers by OlaSammie: 1:13pm On Jan 29, 2017
Nigerians are so surprising sha. Owobokiri is saying the truth. A group of people have killed for decades and no single arrest has been made, then someone comes out to say Christians should defend themselves and wahala is as much as this. I am even surprised some so called Christians are supporting this. Where were you guys when hundreds were killed in southern kaduna, enugu, the middle belt etc? Why was the uproar by you guys not as much as this? Because I believe if you are so "patriotic" to call out someone for inciting violence(which I don't believe he did anyway),then why didn't you do so and even do more(maybe protest) when the actual killings happened. It didn't happen once or twice but several times perpetrated by the same set of people. You guys were not on the DSS neck then o to catch the perpetrators. At times I wonder how some people think sef,it is so painful to see people supporting this act.

The man said they should kill any fulani that they see near them(this does not mean they should go about looking for fulani's to kill,he only meant self-defence). Even if he meant the former(which he clearly didn't),I doubt if Christians will start going up and down looking for who to kill. It can't happen because it has never happened,it has always been the other way round.

Nigerians should think well o and stop supporting evil acts,it could have been you, family members or your loved ones.
