What Is Drop-Shipping?

Drop shipping definition: a fulfillment model that allows you to buy products individually from a wholesaler and ship them directly to your customer. Drop shipping is a way to sell physical products without having a storefront or having to buy inventory in bulk but still getting a wholesale price from your supplier. Drop shippers can sell everything from t-shirts to TVs.

Traditional, brick and mortar retailers, like Best Buy, have stores that they fill with inventory. They buy the inventory in bulk from suppliers, say 10,000 TVs from Sony. In exchange for buying the products in bulk, suppliers charge retailers a lower, wholesale price, say $400 per TV. Retailers make their money by marking up those products before selling them to their customers. Best Buy sells the TV they bought from Sony for $400 to their customer for $750. Best Buy just made $350.

Dropshipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn't keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a store sells a product, it purchases the item from a third party and has it shipped directly to the customer. As a result, the merchant never sees or handles the product.

What this mean is that you don't have to pre-purchase the items you will be selling, and you can offer many different products to your potential customers at no cost. All you will be listing in your store or website is the picture of those products which you are going to just copy and paste free.

Instead of purchasing a large amount of inventory, you simply partner with a drop shipping supplier and list their merchandise for sale. Then, once you receive an order you forward it to the supplier for fulfillment. The supplier will ship the product directly from their warehouse to your customer, and charge you only for the price of the shipped item.

The 6-step formula to $1,200/month with dropshipping:

1. Pick a niche to build your store around.
2. Pick 20 products to add to your store.
3. Build a highly converted dropshipping store with Shopify.

In the last few months, Nigerian Afro-Pop star and FlyBoi Inc boss Kiss Daniel has been embroiled with legal battle with his former label, G-Worldwide Entertainment over breach of contract saga, but recent report by insider revealed that he has won the legal battle in court.

Sometimes last year, Oluwatobiloba Daniel, popularly known as Kiss Daniel was summoned to court over breach of contract saga that led to him to set up his own label imprint.

But according to reliable insider sources close to both parties says that the legal battle between Kiss Daniel and G-Worldwide Entertainment parties which has been lingering has been settled in court. The sources revealed that Kiss Daniel won the case with G-Worldwide.

But the narrative of paying tithing are gradually changing, as two of Nigerian most beloved preachers, Pastor Sam Adeyemi of Daystar Christian Centre and Tunde Bakare of Latter Rain Assembly are against the normal belief that not paying your tithe makes you eligible for a divine curse.

Recently, a new video of the senior pastor of the Daystar Christian Center surfaced online. According to Pastor Sam, the issue of Christians paying of tithe has expired because Jesus Christ has freed Christians from the practice.

“So I say again, tithing as practiced under the Law of Moses as a regulation has expired. No Christian should feel guilty for not paying tithes. No Christian should be made to feel guilty for not paying tithes,” Adeyemi said.

Quoting Romans 8: 1–4, the influential preacher defended his position on tithing by saying: “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

“Nobody should tell a Christian that for you to be accepted before God first or for you to be righteous you must pay your tithes. When Jesus said it is finished it was finished. There is nothing anybody can add to what Jesus did to be justified before God. All anybody needs to do now to be free from sin is to pray and ask for forgiveness.”

Fun Fact – Pastor Adeyemi did not always have this particular anti-tithing mentality. In a previous message called ‘Covenant System for Increase’ on his church’s website, he had taught that tithing was a requirement for God’s blessings.

“God has a unique way or system of prospering people and it is important that we align to that system … There are different classes of giving and the first one is tithing. Many people argue that tithing ended with the Old Testament; is not mentioned in the New Testament and that it passed away with the Law of Moses. However, the tithe predates Moses and the Law because Abraham, while returning from battle, met Melchizedek and gave him a tenth (a tithe) of all the plunder he got from the battle. In return, Melchizedek gave him bread and wine and blessed him (Hebrews 7: 1–9).

“Tithing is a deep spiritual principle … tithing helps us to secure God’s blessings. The way you are a citizen of a country and it is mandatory that you pay your taxes to ensure national prosperity, is the same way that, as a citizen of God’s kingdom, you pay your tithe. The tithe is not a gift to God; it is God’s property. He calls it robbery when you don’t pay it (Malachi 3: 8–12). Paying your tithe ensures you contribute to the welfare of the kingdom. As an individual, if you do not play your part, you are contributing to the failure of the community. Organizations and nations should give since the nations who give are the ones who are the most prosperous while those who beg remain poor. When you pay your tithe, no devourer, policy or system can impoverish you,” Adeyemi wrote.

In February 2018, Pastor Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly weighed in on the tithe controversy. Like Pastor Adeyemi, he agreed that it is no longer compulsory for Christians to take 10% of their income to the church. Speaking with BBC Yoruba, he said, “Tithing is not compulsory. No-one should feel compelled to pay — no-one is holding a gun to their head.

“Churches, where pastors are becoming fat and the members, are growing lean, God will judge them.”

Controversial Cool FM's OAP and Leader of Free The Sheeple Movement, Daddy Freeze has reacted to viral video of a statement made by The Redeemed Christian Church of God's Pastor, claiming that Africa’s Richest Man, Aliko Dangote won’t make heaven.

According to the RCCG's Pastor in the viral video Daddy Freeze shared on social media, said that:

For people to prosper; they have to honor the Lord with their first fruit, pay their tithe, give offerings, serve in God’s vineyard. The Pastor who went further to disclose that he has seen MDs of companies washing toilets in RCCG camp.

The RCCG Pastor who said questions of the difference between Christian Billionaire and Aliko Dangote is being asked in-house fellowships, claimed the answer to the question is one will make heaven, the other won’t.

I’ve been meaning to talk about that interview. I never said I was going to have sex with every girl. I never said that. That thing made a school not pay me for a show because it was a Christian school. I said I like any girl…. It was supposed to even be a good thing because it meant that I do not (discriminate, whether thick or slim) but they just twisted it. Well, anything that comes with good comes with the bad too.

On what 2018 holds for him:

Expect a body of work from me, I think. From the body of work, you will hear me in different ways. You might not just believe I’m the one who wrote the songs. I have the plan of having at least 2 of the biggest songs in 2018. I’ve been recording since February. I’ll also be on some major projects too to help target the African market.

On the number of years he expects to stay at DMW:

Our stuff is not really contractual in that sense. It’s just love. If you check my contract, there are some things that I am not supposed to be enjoying now based on the legal terms but I still enjoy them. There was one time Davido just dashed us bar for no bloody reason… It’s not like we did something to deserve the cheque. He just gave us. I don’t think there will ever be a time that l will “Leave” DMW. The contract might end and I might renew or not renew but whatever goes down, there won’t be a time when I will just “leave” because if not for these people, I won’t be sitting here.

On artist/label controversies:

I think you should know what you’re signing when you are signing it. Always get a lawyer. In my case, Davido even paid for my lawyer. It’s like paying someone to tackle you but he did. Human beings vary too but always get a lawyer. I understand the desperation. Back then, if I had seen 99: 1 (revenue share) I would have signed because of how desperate I was.

I Don't See Myself Leaving Davido Or DMW Label Anytime Soon -- Mayorkun
