UI 2ND SEMESTER TO RESUME ON THE 14TH OF AUGUST
- MI SPY

This morning, August 3rd, 2017, news broke out in form of a pdf file that academic activities are to resume on the 14th of August which has been disclaimed by evidence from the portal() which reveals that resumption remains on the 28th.
However, it is pertinent to note that the portal (with regards to resumption) was last updated around June, when the school management called students back on campus to resume.
To verify the veracity of both, in a phone call with Dr. Adams Akewula, now former Sub Dean General of the faculty of Arts who recently returned from an ASUU meeting, stated emphatically that he has received the new resumption date which is 14th of August on his mail.

In another move, he has stated that UI is likely to hold P.Ume this year, as advised by the Senate Admission Council, subject to approval from the Senate.
alright!

That's not true, even though they conducted post ume exam last year, but the candidates answered questions from the subject related to their courses, 100 questions.

They are not stupid, so they knw people applied from different tribes, just like saying UI will set questions from yoruba, beware of false rumors
About that common and Islamic law,I'm very sure about it.

About Hausa language ish,I cannot defend cos I didn't write post ume with them but a friend doing law there told me so.He is a Yoruba guy and they were made to write House language.

Babablogger...what are you saying?

You wrote that the admitted students via Grading System performed woefully because they are enveloped at the euphoria of gaining admission... The Ones that wrote Post UTME,were they not enveloped in the same euphoria?

Fact is,Post UTME tends to do keen seperation between the wheat and the tares.Post UTME was initially adopted because of this ugly situation of students performing abysmally low in their academic grades in their first session.

Post UTME was introduced and that became a story, all admitted students are intellectually-sound apart from some exemptions. Post UTME will definitely cut the wings of those who aim to fly with their malpractice-induced results.

PostUTME will do more than enough to revive the glory of UI that was misplaced through to the sheer ineptitude of one Minister of Education.

GentlemanAyo:
Bro this is a lie, stop generalizing what you don't know, I got admitted through the Point System into UI in 2010. I can say it to any person even to UI's VC that the point system is bad. It does not give room for neutral ground. This JAMB and WAEC are external exams in which many things can be involved that was why Post UTME was invented. I have this friend that wanted to study Electrical and Electronic Engineering but he couldn't because of the point system, he later changed to a less competitive course after trying the 3rd time. Damola is a very brilliant guy he never had less than 260 in the 3 JAMBs he wrote, he was always close to the cutoff point. I am sure he will perform well in that department if not up to being a first class graduate. I advised him to pick another school but he wouldn't listen, I don't know who advertised UI to him, the person must have done a great job. I thank God he is happy with what he is doing. Using point system does not give room for neutral ground as so many people cheat in JAMB and WAEC, get the admission, then get withdrawn at the end of 100level preventing those who would have made good grades from getting admitted.
This says it all.

More wisdom fall on u sir

First of All,I'd like you to stop drawing unreasonable comparison between Nigeria and other Countries. It makes no total sense to me.

Yes,We should keep writing exams upon exams because of the credibility loss of this WASSCE and UTME.In Some riverine states like Bayelsa(apologies for this),do you know Invigilators hardly visit the examination centres?...They'd rather put a call through to one of the teachers to come collect the examination questions and he/she would be told where to bring it to when they are done.

Truth is,Nigeria is a vast state and overhauling malpractice in a widely conducted examination will be very difficult or almost impossible.

Definitely,We have people who earned their WASSCE grades by their intellectual capability but unfortunately the number of those who earned theirs illegally(asking from friends, cheating, phone usage, teachers aid) outnumbers the credible ones.

Conducting a Post UTME is made easier because only the applicants will be tested as opposing the nationwide UTME and WASSCE.
