Religion / Re: Osun CAN Orders Christian Students To Attend Classes In Church Robe by Olenzzy(m): 6:47pm On Jun 11, 2016
D gamut of d Judicial verdict is an epitaph on d supremacy of d law over primordial sentiments which has been hipped on us all by our belief system. The fact is dat education, culture and religion are all tools of socialization to make an individual conform to d demands of society. What is happening in Nigeria in general is what I call d age of self-realization in which every group is fighting to be recognized or respected. There is an awakening sweeping across d length and breadth of d nation and if care is not taken especially by our elected and appointed leaders, what will come out it may be too much for all of us to handle. We therefore need a calibre of leadership who can turn these outbursts into useful endeavours. It's going to be a long walk...but we shall get there. The body of Christians and Muslims in Nigeria should come together for d future of d Children. In d meantime, I urge Ogbeni Rauf to wade into d matter as d Number one citizen of d State of Osun so dat agents of disunity do not find occasion to make a mountain out of this molehill. Naija go better!
Religion / Re: What Is The Purpose Of Life? The Most Important Question by Olenzzy(m): 5:42pm On Jun 11, 2016
D question of whether life has a purpose is as old as man dat is if it doesn't predate humanity. To answer ur poser, I shall speak frm two planes- d Spiritual and d Practical. Frm d former point of view, Biblical record( which is inspired by Divinity) accounts dat d Creator is d Source of all living entities(Angels, man, animals, plants) both seen and unseen. According to available records, d Creator made these things for His own pleasure and praise. In other words, none of d these stuff will make sense except they fulfil d two mandates of giving pleasure and bringing praise or glory to d Almighty. Life's purpose is essentially wrapped in this mystery. Frm d practical perspective, Life is seen as an embodiment of solutions to existing & anticipated problems. It is about finding answers to questions; bring ing development to where none exist; creating solutions before problems occur. So its all about perspective. What is important therefore is d ability of everyone to meet both requirements. U MUST BRING PLEASURE AND PRAISE TO D ALMIGHTY WHILE ALSO BRINGING SOLUTIONS TO D PROBLEMS OF OTHERS. UNTIL A MAN DOES THESE THINGS, HIS SOUL WILL NEVER BE AT PEACE! Put simply, d essence of Life is to serve God and humanity with ur talents and resources where u r and within d time alloted to u.
Politics / Re: PDP, Put Your House In Order.-vanguard by Olenzzy(m): 7:35am On Jun 02, 2016
Well said! But I must quickly add dat u can't give what u don't have. D current leadership brouhaha in d erstwhile ruling party is a reflection of d fact dat d party had been held together in d past not by principles of shared vision, national interests & common ideology but by d power & size of Ghana-must-go bags. And now dat there is no more place to feast, d cracks in d largest party in Africa has come to the fore. Good news for APC but bad news for Democratic governance which requires strong opposition to survive!

Politics / What Has Age Got To Do With Performance? by Olenzzy(m): 8:48am On Apr 13, 2016
For many years, i subscribed to d dictum that certain things can't be achieved until one attains a particular age. In d last few years however, i have had 101 reasons to believe otherwise. In d area of governance for instance, one needs look not too far to realize that d men and women that have made d most significant impact on their countries did so before they became fifty. The most disturbing fact however is that while those who drafted d 1999 Constitution stipulated 40 as d age for president, 35 for governor, 35 for Senate, and 30 for House of Reps/House of Assembly, those at d helm of affairs have not deemed it fit to make it possible for d youths to get near d corridors s of power. They keep saying d youths are unemployable hence they should not be given "too much responsibilities". The question is : Is age and performance inversely related? Foreign Affairs / Re: Muammar Gaddafi's Last Speech On TV: A Must Read!!! by Olenzzy(m): 4:53pm On Apr 12, 2016
Without contradiction, in Ghaddafi, Africa lost a true Pan-Africanist, a lover of d common man, a defender of Socialism, and one of d greatest financiers of d African Union. Its so sad that Barack Obama was at d forefront of this! I should think that he will see this as one of his overzealousness while in power. RIP M. GHADDAFI
Politics / Re: Sambo Dasuki Wins FG At ECOWAS Court by Olenzzy(m): 1:06pm On Apr 12, 2016
To my mind, i think what Dasuki has achieved at d ECOWAS Court will force d Nigerian Judiciary to give accelerated hearing on the suit against him. Nothing more. It is a challenge on our system of judicial administration viz a viz its inherited weight of undue political interference.
Politics / One Year As President Of Nigeria: What Would U Do Differently? by Olenzzy(m): 12:12pm On Apr 12, 2016
One of d stark revelations about d PMB led administration is that what u see outside Aso Rock begins to change d moment u enter dat Villa. That, i think , was d first Change d government witnessed in its struggle to transform d country. In d context of this, and in d light of d administration's one year anniversary coming up next month, do u think u would fare better if u were in PMB's shoes? Or what would u do differently if u had d chance to be Nigeria's President 4 one year?
Politics / Disintegration Of Nigeria: To Be Or Not To Be by Olenzzy(m): 9:59am On Apr 12, 2016
Since d revival of the BIAFRA question, many opinions have been aired both by Nigerians and non- Nigerians as to d possibility of d dismembering of d contraption called Niger- Area or better still, Nigeria. One reality that stares one in d face is d post- disintegration era. In otherwords, which region will rise up first after d dusts of going our separate ways must have settled down? As someone who believes in d power and prospects of diversities in terms of human and natural resource contribution and contradictions, i humbly request Hon. Nairalanders to use their logical and intuitive abilities to help find answers to this poser.
Politics / What If Saraki Decamps Back To Pdp Will His Trial Still Go On? by Olenzzy(m): 7:15am On Apr 12, 2016
As the drama of Senator Saraki's trial take full throttle at d CCT, i began to recreate a condition of "WHAT IFS" in my mind and one that readily pops up each time as far as d anti- corruption war is concerned is : What if Senator Saraki decamps back to PDP, will d trial still go on? Will d hunter not become d hunted? Pls, Hon. Nairalanders, what are ur views? Gud morng.
Politics / Is The 2016 Budget In Line With Apc Manifesto Or Its Business As Usual? by Olenzzy(m): 12:04am On Apr 12, 2016
Manifestos are like wedding proposals that a man makes when he desires the hand of a cherished woman in marriage. According to our laws, neither the marriage proposal nor the manifesto are legal documents because most of the terms used are often sensational and emotionally- laden so as to induce or mislead the other party into doing something that they would not have done ordinarily. While the elections have come and gone, there has been a lot of hue and cry about the 2016 budget which has thrown into the public glare some milloin dollar questions, that is: (1)who were those responsible for the preparation of 2016 budget (2) Did the APC leadership that drafted the party manifesto have a hand in the 2016 budget (3) what is d moral implication of deviating from the contents and intents of rhe 2015 manisfesto (4) Since the APC thought it wise to make copies of d manifesto available to the masses when they were seeking our votes, is it out of place if they make copies of the 2016 budget available so we can monitor and check for alignment and deviations. As observed by the late Thomas Jefferson, vigilance is the price of liberty. Constructive comments are welcome, pls.
Politics / If U Knew Things Would Turn Out Like This, Would U Have Voted Out Gej? by Olenzzy(m): 11:24pm On Apr 11, 2016
One of the things that makes God superior to human beings is d ability to see the end from d beginning. Even tho Nigeria is the greatest exporter of preachers of the gospel, it cannot yet boast of a handful of real servants of God like Prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah etc who could give blow by blow account of what would happen in d future. That leads me to the subject matter of the status quo we have found ourselves- where both d rich and the poor now face d same hellish situation of self- inflicted scarcity amidst poor economic downturn. At least for now, d poor man is happy that d rich man can feel what it means not to be able to live large. The burning question then is: if u had an insight into the mess we are in now, would u still have voted against GEJ? Ur response will go a long way in redefining our individual and collective attitude towards d present administration as well as d role we are supposed to play to ensure dat we get d change we voted for. Constructive responses are welcome, pls.
