very correct. Truth be told, some sales report motivates and inspires. A friend once told me a sale he made for 4 figures, I registered similar keyword and sold it $500 within few days. Would this have happened if I wasn't informed? what's the message you're passing when reporting a sale without revealing the domain name? How would others benefit from it?

But not every sales you can report if you still wish to explore the keyword or the niche more. These I usually do. I still did it last month.

Let me talk about the sales report. Let me have my own input. For someone like me, my primary source of income is domaining. I have some other side hustles, but this puts food on my table and pays my bills as a man. And the day I stumbled on this thread makes a difference, though I was introduced to domainning as far back as 2014. However, it did not work for me until late 2017 and early 2018, when I took action.


Forget it. Every sales report inspires, whether you reveal the name or not. Disclosing the domain name aids in exploration and data driving. But since there is no initial rule of thumb, we should not castigate anybody for not reporting completely. After all, there are many sales that are not reported in this industry. However, that is not good enough. But it is what it is.

My little advice: we all have "chicken little" in us as Nigerians. We might all be in the same business line, but we might not perform in the same way. Not because those who are struggling are not trying, but maybe there is a little thing that needs to be done right. We should eradicate any form of envy. Or think that those who are reporting sales frequently are using it to bluff. That's my observation, and I stand to be corrected, not castigated.

Quickly change name servers to the potential buyers preference now. Even if the domain is registered with Epik, transfer and pay $10 to sell it. Business is about taking calculated risks

The domain is under 60 days lock, just trying to reach out to Rob if there is anything he can do.
All these happen after I have taken my time to convince the buyer whose replied was "not interested" to accept my offer and convince them the need for the domain.

I will advice you to be on the look out. If the present owner refuses to renew it. The domain will be pending delete around January or there about. If I were you I will backorder it.
Just from now keep on checking the status of the domain if you have a chance.
I once had similar scenario like that. And eventually backorder the domain and have it sold.

You need to understand the life cycle of the domain.

Active cycle: Once the domain is registered it stays for period of one year before it expires. Think of it like renting a shop space or an apartment, your apartment dues after a year or depending on number of years you paid in advance i.e 1 or 2 year or even 10 years. At the end of those year the rent expires. So is domain too,
During this active period you can redirect it or point it to any hosting of your choice.

Expired: domain expires after a year or any time you extend it registration. e.g if you register a domain say for a year; Feb 10th 2021 to 9th 2022 and it expires Feb 10th 2022.
The domain can be renew before the expire date or two to three days after it expires. You only pay for a renewal. You have up to 30-45 days to renew at a normal renewal rate we call this Grace period

Redemption period: the redemption days depends on individual registrar, but it is generally believed that domain enter into redemption period after 30 days added to grace period. During this period the owner/ registrant pay more than renewal to redeem the domain e.g dynadot charges something like $85 for redemption other registrars may differ.

Pending delete: if the domain is not redeemed, after 30 days redemption period. 5 days to it the domain will drop for public to be able to register it.

If I may ask, how did you source leads for the .realty domain? Did you just reach out to random real estate companies, please?

I also have a handful of names but I haven't done any outbounding for.

I did a little research before I reg couple of .realty I have in my portfolio. So I already know the end users to pitch before I registered them.
I sent the first batch of mails to all of them, fortunately the owner of homerunrealty.com showed interest by offering $125, I countered the offer to $350, he remains silence then I send him a follow up, to up his offer, he later offer $245 which I accepted.

I got good open rate on others but none signify interest, I just sent them a follow up promo emails a few minutes ago, hope something good will come out of it.
All in all, with that single sale I have more than 100% roi on my collections of .realty and I hope I will be able to sell one or two before renewal.
.realty renewal is so costly am not thinking of renewing them hence I will let them go cheap.

99% of my names are with Epik. Only have one name with Netsol. And once it's 3 months I'd transfer it to Epik. I'm following Ikpromotions footsteps, which he said "if u really know a name is good...8+ bucks shouldn't be a problem".

If you're using scrapes like reon and skyemail extractor always ensure you double check the email cause this bots usually bring unrelated emails...so you end up spamming which isn't good. Make sure all emails are 99 percent to the target end users that will need it.

That's for email finding tip.

Now there are some names when you lookup to search end users you see they serve more than one cities...some 10 20 30 cities...I avoid such names. If you have a name most of the end users serve multiple cities possibilities of selling is slim. Why will I buy abujabarbers.com when I serve Kano, Abuja, Ilorin, kaduna, etc. What happens to the rest cities should I go and also register them.

I also avoid law domains except of I see good one. I have like 3 law domains in my portfolio.....like you find lawyers offering more than one service.

I also avoid 2019 Geo names on Ed...most are from domainers that have outbounded them and did not sell. Now what is the probability that when you reg them and outbound to the end users again they'd buy...and isn't it spamming...like same ring of guys disturbing us with emails.

I use only Gmail on mobile...and I set mobile signatures to indicate company name, telephone etc.

I don't border myself with tracking issues using any special tracker.

I have it on my mind when I send email to 10 end users...the routine is to do follow ups on those names till the price reduces to 50usd on subsequent followups. So why do I have to border about tracking.

Also when end users say they aren't interested. I don't message them again. When I send to 10...3 say they ain't interested...I continue follow ups with 7...another 3 say not interested, I continue follow up with 4 and also reducing price or reoutbound again.

But on PC I have an email tracker inside of the gmail...I forgot the name.

After you have bought ur first 10 names no sales. Read again well, check d names that sell...read..try to format ur email well. Company, logo, etc.

The choice to use 9ja name, company name, foreign picture or foreign name is left to you.

Buy 10 names again if no sales from Epik thats around 90k invest make sure you have followed up all 20 emails with follow up sales letter till price drops to 100 USD or 50.


If no sales again....read....read...... Check sales report.....read....pray..pray......pray.

Buy 10 names again...by now you've invested around 150...should have like 30+ names now of no sales again....just look it you've only invested 150k ooo. Some of this monies are monies we use in frivolities...
So just keep investing and praying...tweaking your emails..trying new stuffs in the end it will click by the grace of God.

When it clicks...ensure you buy 10 names again or 15....on any sale you make...then you would easily break even...and would be one of the pros like them Elon, ikh, Ik, and co.
