That forum is unlike namepros. You either explain what happened to them instead of going to acorndomains; they are for .uk domains, the alternative is dnforum. The previous owner was Adam Dicker a prominent domainer who sold his portfoilo including dnforum because he turned 419.

I joint that forum in 2012 April.

Just go there it is also a nice place wher you can sell and buy domains. Good luck and cheers

I got to know dnforum 2014 when I joined namepros courtesy of @2sexy when he mentioned it at isaactolu thread, but what makes me not to visit the forum as often as namepros, is that I can't make any comment without been an upgraded member which is almost $100 then.

For a niche website, the domain is great and short. For sale, I would like to know how you came about the "ety" after the "green" in the domain name because it is not obvious for me to discern as I'm thinking like your potential buyer.
I don't have the intention of selling this domain. I only want to build a niche website and put some affiliate links to monetize it.
Some of the related keywords I so much love are gone, I came up with greenety by playing with words.
Basically, is a gardening and veggie niche.

Got this from an end-users, how do u handle this?
Note: accept payment=make payment, Google translate issue.

Some buyer ehn, if you give them password and username naa to get access to your registrar account and do whatever they like be that now.
That option is not advisable bro, you show them the screen shot of the domain in your dashboard or ask them the permission to redirect the domain to their site for couple hours, at least if you are not the owner you won't be able to do both..

What lesson do you learn from the sales of binance.exchange for $12000?

When I read the story of the seller on namepros, I was like; some times, in life and in business we just need to take calculated risk and risk it all.
We all know that trademarked domains are no go area, because of fair of the owner filling lawsuit.

But this guy bought binance.exchange for $50 at namesilo auction and flip it for $12000.....
Here is a link to the guy's story

https://www.namepros.com/threads/binance-exchange-sold-for-12000-my-experience.1200647/#post-7869273

PS-Though this does not mean that we should be hunting for trademark domain but there are exceptional cases in every situations........

After a long chat, where I discovered that Card Protect has been enabled on my card (they said I did it when i knew i didn't), I was told to call GTConnect.

GTConnect told be that the bank has blocked Paypal transactions on all Naira Mastercards. I think Dollar Cards are exempted (e be like say na to go reactivate my expired dollar Mastercard). I believe na exchange rate wahala. They also said that Naira Mastercards have been disabled on all trading sites.

I eventually succeeded in making the dollar purchase with the card using the card details directly on the site (which I do not like doing)

These is not good news for some of us using naira card.

Behind the Scene:

Outbounding is not easy and can be very tricky. It involves a lot of work, consistency, and patience. Don't get it twisted, for every sales report you see out here, come with rigorous persistence – and maybe – prayers too.

... Take these two sales emails below for instance (pics attached). They have 124 and 110 views respectively, not to mention others with 105, 100, 84, 76, 69 views, e.t.c... shocked

The total mails sent for this domain name have reached up to 170, with just a response that stated "No, thank you. We don't cover this service area."

The views keep growing, hope still flying, and blood keep flowing. No response, no price offer, no questions. Guess what? The domain metrics are impressive with good traffic and all. cool

... And you wonder why they say "Domaining is Unpredictable." cheesy

In fact, I have backordered a few GEOs with insane prospects thinking the sales would come easy, but still warming bench in my portfolio. grin

...So why this narrative? What's the essence? Seems weird right? Yes, it is!

But wait... There's a few lessons to take away – and it's never to give up on your quest to reaching your goal – irrespective of your level – whether a beginner hoping for sales or an expert with a dry spell.

We shall all smile to the bank this week and beyond. Keep the fire burning guys!

... No apologies for the epistle - pun intended. grin grin
Well said bro, every geo hustlers will attest to what you just spelt out. Some Moment of sales and some moment of draught- I laughed when I see some that denounces God's input in this our hustle (biz) and attribute everything to "know-how." only. Seriously, element of grace also come in to play whether we like it or not.
May the grace of God locate those who believe, this month in all our hustle!

I need help guys. there's this 10year old domain i am eyeing. Owner has allowed it expire like 60 something days ago, maybe because he doesnt think it will sell anymore. The domain is in the period called pending delete grace period where in the owner can register if he wishes but will have to pay high as 150USD, otherwise, then the registrar can auction it. Now the problem is that the owner has not registered it and the domain is not on auction ( which by now it should be). I need this name guys. Does anyone have a word of advice for the road for me?
Backorder it. You can make use of dropcatch or snapname if you are on budget. But if you are low on budget, use GoDaddy or dynadot or sav.. But these three are 50-50 chance

Like in one of your videos. You said the client provides you with some detail like age range, political affiliation etc. of his target market(subscribers).

@venzal thanks for your excellent work, a question for you please.
It is effortless for pros to pull out samples from the arsenal of the past work he has done.
But as a newbie, this might not be simple.
I know the best thing is to find a project and craft a copy as a sample. How does one come up with a brief that can help in writing, as proof of the sample

LOL! I salute all my brilliant and great pals here. I doff my cap for y'all! I don't do Upwork or Fiverr. They pay peanuts and that is slave wage. With a freelance writer website, I can command $50 and above per 500 word article. That is 10 articles written on Fiverr platform. We should all learn to work hard and work smart! But it's a great place to start for people who want to get their feet wet for online business and marketing.

Bro, I know of some guys that are cashing out really big from those two platforms. Though for starters , it might be though somehow.

Making it on fiverr and upwork depend on your niche, level and been a master of what you do.
I don't dispute the fact that some freelance platform pay way much than them but not in all niches you get peanut for work done.
Techy $ networking niche seems to be hot, writing niche is a bit saturated#myopinionthough.

I know of a guy, is an architect his average earning on fiverr per month is $5k plus consistently.
The guy na authority in his line of profession, he actually stop his normal 9-5 work to focus on fiverr.
Presently he has some people that are handling project for him,his even paying them because of volume of task, he deals with.

Thanks for this post. What if hosterstats shows that the name has been held for years on differnt marketplaces without sellng

Well in this our business there is element of luck; you and I know that person will hold a name for numbers of years without selling it and drop it and it will be picked by someone else and sell it in couple of months.
We have seen cases of domainers gifting their fellow domainers names they lost hope on and such name eventually got sold.
So, In every business there is what we call calculated risk. It is a matter of probability, if such name is picked up it may sell or not, if it is sold you win if it doesn't you recover your lost from other investment..

Conclusively, we should device a strategy that suit our individual personality of how to manage our portfolio. Which names do you believe in, even if they do not sell as soon you expected, for how long can I hold it before letting them drop.
How often shall I prune my portfolio so I will not be wasting money on renewals of domains that do not have potential of selling.

Nice one Boss. Expireddomains contains thousands of great names or even millions of great names that drop daily.

To see that depends on the filter you use. Some Filter good names out while surfing ED and still see another good names while some use less filter more stressful and still see good names.

EMDs don't use much filter in searching domains. They just focused on ADword CPC. That's why some people reported sales like WebuyForeigncoin or PreScienceAI or Olybode sales.

The style is the best form of surfing EDs but very stressful going through thousands of useless names looking for gem.

But if you drink enough Yogurt and enough water besides you, your eyes will spot that gem.

Good Luck to all of us.
You got the gist, very stressful but the reward supercede the stress

Congrats on your sales, bro. I wish you more.

Please I have a couple of questions I wish you could help with:

1. Do you start outbounding as soon as you register a name and don't you have problem with getting buyers to register an account with your registrar? I wish to know this because of the 60-day lock.

2. Since you did outbounding for TotalLogisticsolutions and avcphotostore, could you share how you got leads? Was it just by searching the keywords on Google?

Thanks.

Thanks for the questions, let me use this opportunity to address some other questions I got asked:

***What filter do you always use on ED when choosing domain?

The first filter I make use of when selecting names from the drop(deleted) domain is my instinct/my gut - at least 55% of the time my instinct might be right.
So I will advice some of us newbies to always trust our instinct.

In doing this, will need basic knowledge of the industry- this thread, namepros and other domain related site can be of help.

Other filters- I keep it simple (kiss)

In the common section:

Under Domain name settings:
I always checked **No number
**No hyphen
**No consecutive hyphen
In the AdWords section:
I only rase my global AdWords to 1 or 2

Those are the only filters I use personally.

I no what you are thinking!

Who doesn't know all these? Right!

Well that's what I use and Seriously of all the filters, I trust my gut most and I believe most of our oga's can attest to that fact!

**The other thing I consider when I mediately spot a domain that appeal to me is what is the history of this domain, has it dropped before or is it just dropping for the first time. Is the dot net developed( I don't always look at this all the time but, if dot net is developed, your prime end-user to first contact is the dot net owner. But believe me the owner might disappoint by not buy most are times).

Tools that answer the questions

Hosterstats/king- my favourite GOTO
Web.archive/org

The above are the Oracle I consulted in a jiffy.

Another most important factor is who are the end-users: I quickly search the keywords on bing and Google to know the end-users.

As you can see there is nothing new in all these.

As regards to your questions:
immediately I register domain in a reputable registrar I start to outbound
I always got my leads by plug in the keywords of the domain in a search engine and visit their sites with the aid of snov and hunter I extract the email address and start outbounding.
Sometimes in the process, hunter and snov may not extract some site email addresses in that case I make use of contact form. Though this might not be effective as such but it works sometimes.

Different people have shared different methods of getting leads here on this thread, Facebook message and the stuff.

We do have some end-users who do not have any contact form, and no Facebook presence. If you are fortunate that the domain of such end-user is registered with GoDaddy you can contact the user through GoDaddy.

All you need to do is go to GoDaddy whoislookup put the URL of the site there, at the bottom of the whois info, you will see contact domain holder just click on it, you will to send short messages in which GoDaddy will forward to the registrant of the domain.
I have used this method and it works really well. I take no credit for this method cos I got the nugget from one of our oga here(haykay2005).
What is most important in this industry:
*** know your style and strategies.
I must say I sucks when it comes to brandables. Though I have some that were rejected by SH and I have some with BB but never made a sale, I even bought an ebook from one us here on brandable
**Keep learning
**Patience: let me quickly use @proxy94 sale's report as example, he bought portlandcondosforsale/king since last year and the domain got sold recently.
So for us that have not gotten sale I think we need to keep on pushing. Keep buying when you believe in a name after your research register it. Someone just sold mellowTiger/king here and some people were asking what motivated him to buy such name. Simple! is the knowledge of the industry and his gut that the domain will sell and here it is! It sold! The guy racked $2999

Sometimes I use to borrow money to buy names if I'm short of cash. In fact, the domain name avcphotostore/king that sold for 550$ I borrowed the money from my wife to register that name. And I only see one end-user for that name. But base on my gut I bought it, and it's sold.

I really want to say thank you to @ikhalyfah and others for Thier contributions.
I am currently test running boomerangemialtraking one of the nugget @ikhalyfah dropped one android outbounding. I sent a mail to a prospect on Friday and base on tracking he has viewed the 19 times. Though I don't know how reliable that tool is. But any how we move

#hope that helps

***sales alert***
I tried reported these four days ago but mod slam me a ban
Avcphotostore.com
Sold $550
Negotiated. Sale venue: Dan
Hold:3weeks
Money still in Dan Escrow made this sale early this month but the domain registrar is sav, as we all know that dan is having issues with that registrar. Author code was sent since 3 days ago, Now the buyer refuses to initiate the transfer

Airnowservices.com
Sold $450
BIN. Sale venue: Epik
Hold: 72hours

TotalLogisticsolutions.com

First got offer of $25 I didn't respond, buyer came to increase the offer to $30 I declined. All these happen between interval of a month.

I was furious with the man's offer so I went to jack up my bin from $350 to $750. This happened in December last year
Fast forward to this month, he came with offer of $125 I counter to $700 but pleaded that he can only afford $275 because of coro which I finally accepted.

All sold through outbound

Thanks to God and everyone on this thread. More sales to us all.
