Geofavor: For those of you who use custom email address for outbound, how do you beat the spam trap?
Was sending out emails yesterday. At first, they were being delivered well. But later on they started landing in spam. I sent to an old gmail account of mine and it landed in spam, with the reason being because the mail was similar to those detected by gmail's spam filter.
It would seem though that the issue is only with gmail. I'm not sure other web and corporate mail addresses flagged my mail as spam (not sure. Just hope they didn't).
What do you think? Please, share your thoughts and experience in this.
Cc ollybode, Ayorich, etc. In my own case, I have like 4 custom email addresses that I forwarded to my four different Gmail accounts. The fact is that, frequent outbound with one email address whether Gmail/custom is not advisable because some of the recipients may decide to flag your address, apart from Gmail wahala. I also use the following tools: mail-tester/com and emailcopycheker/com to check the spam trigger words in the content of my email. I will always advise you to always switch your email addresses when you do heavy outbounding. Four custom email addresses; How?Since I have taken this domain biz seriously. I registered my own business name and go for a very affordable hosting plan. So, From my control panel, I can create an infinity custom email addresses. What I did is to create just four and forwarded them to four different Gmail account(email addresses) for me to track the emails. I send all of my mails from Gmail using email forwarding and track them accordingly, I don't send from webmail. I equally have a parallax site to display some of my domains. The strategy is that I have 8 emails all together for outbound. Sometimes I do alternate the Gmail addresses to send outbound, at times I do alternate the custom addresses. These have been working well for me without any spam wahala. These only cost me #8k investment per-annum. I guess it is not too much of investment cos I make my sales. When am less busy I will give a short tutorial on how to make our email look a little bit professional by adding a nice signature. stay tuned. |

Am not disputing the fact that life span of domain may have little impact on the sales, provided is memorable, flow with trend and keyword rich. We have seen domain name that was registered within couple of months and sold high. Many things work together in this business. Sometimes some sales go against norms, either will like it or not. It happens priceaction: you guys should learn at times why it sold for that much and the one we are talking might not. Though, anything can happen in domaining but in basic principle, this is the reason: wesellusedcars.com Updated 1 hour ago Domain Information Domain: wesellusedcars.com Registrar: Network Solutions, LLC Registered On: 1999-12-30 Expires On: 2021-12-30 Updated On: 2020-02-20 |

Omnivalent: Cc Promxy94 I've been reading posts on this thread as well as on namepros for sometime now and i feel like going into this domain flipping... Having read alot about domaining, i have just one question to ask; Please guys, after a successful sale how do i recieve my money here in nigeria? you know most of the withdrawal option is paypal (and paypal na tori in this country) and others do offer wire transfer. now my question is how can i cash out via wire when i don't have domicilary account, or is this type of wire transfer different? and i'm also hearing of epik escrow, how does it work? Gurus in the house please help me out. God Bless Us All Happy Domaining To All. When you get to that bridge you shall cross it. When you make sales getting your fund in your local bank is as easy as abc. What is so much is, knowing domains that will turn to cash for you. |

Bro he needs to be worried oooh, if eventually the guy is successful in his fraudulent act, who do you think will be at the receiving point? @promxy94 I will advise you to go to currency thread and put a disclaimer. This nairaland self; that was how someone sent me message via email, begging me for money just after I posted sales report. kenralph: Bro, I hope you don't find this offensive but don't you think that question is too personal? I don't pick any offence, I know how open @beckplanet is, that's why I asked him the question, and perhaps, the question I asked is more of generic rather than specific. I didn't ask him to show me specific filters he is using to pick domains. Remember we learn when we ask reasonable questions. Promxy94: Sorry, I just have to say this. I discovered something, everybody is looking for an easy niche, or an easy key that will work for him or her in domaining. I like that, but the problem now is that, you think if you know Mr A tricks, and use it you would be successful. Or if you use Mr B trick, you will be successful. If Mr A sells a geo, you believe Geos are ruling if Mr B sells a handreg, you believe handreg are moving, if Mr c sells a brandable, you believe brandables are winning.
My simple and humble advice is, work and stick to a niche, you believe you will have good and easy understanding of. Domaining is wide and accommodating if you know where you want to stick to. You can decide to go into brandables and stick to it, have a good knowledge of it, and have a PhD in it.
Not jumping from one niche to another...
Use the information provided by gurus here and scrutinize yourself and know what you can do, and what you can adapt well to.
#ITS GOD GRACE... #MYGODLIVES..... I don't deny whatever things you discover, but there are sometimes in business when we need to diversify. And doing so you need mentor in that new endeavour and ask questions that will make you I have a smooth ride in your journey. @beckplanet thanks for your response and I love those name you just picked up. |

IdeasPro: I want this to be ingrained in your DNA all the days of your life. It is not what people say about you that matters but what you believe you are. Nobody can make you inferior except yourself. Build your money making systems and take a vacation in their country. You can even shout out to Rob and Frank-Germany and tell them I am in your country with just $200 they say you are making to tell them how cheap their country is.
A confused man will always say yes to anything someone else says he is so that he doesn't look like a fool or dunce. But we are not confused Nigerians, they were lucky to be ahead of us technologically. In any field of competition, there is always an underdog. Nigeria will soon become a technological hub and force to reckon with. It only lies in the womb of time. I concur with everything you said except from the highlights; Nigeria problem is deep, Both the leadership and followers are confused and everything is in total shamble. |

BTW, I am using Snov as recommended by someone here and it is a great tool. Streak dey fork up these days. so i dump her If you've got views and link through, I think is a good sign for me, these white folks take their time and consult before making buying decisions. I will just advice to craft a probing mail to those end-users that frequently view your mail. To me, that's sign of interest and I have sold domains through that before. |

Even as an online business guru (in all modesty) before Iyke came on board, I had personal experience with him that leaves much to be desired. And there is 3rd confirmation from someone else. Business is about relationship. Destroy that relationship and you destroy your business. Always love your approach, indeed u are an orator. Show me the man of wisdom, I will look at ur direction |

ikhalyfah: IMMEDIATELY. U will see it when u click, not via email Sold a name with 123-reg under lock, buyer refused to open account with them, am waiting for 60 days lock to be over now.... 2sexycom: @ajog1 and iykepromotions
I think you guys should take things easy.
I have read your comment ajog1 and I know where the problem is coming from.
Iyke, to be fair, you should not be picking names for people to avoid issues like this because we all are not so sure of what will sell. I do not do it because even a good name might take years before they are sold. MKAM.com was sold by AbdulBasit and according to him, it took him 8 years to have it sold.
Your reaction is surprising to me and I will have to ask ajog1 if he insulted you because I know you are cool headed Iyke. So seeing you respond like this means something must have gone behind the scene.
But you should also consider the fact that the country is hard and not everybody has money to play around before hitting it. I know how many request I have received in the past from people begging me to teach them domaining with last money in the bank or they want to sell their belongings to start domaining. I always discourage them because I know they may not get the result they want. It is same reason why I do not tutor domaining.
In fact, I will rather teach you importation (full package if you can afford it) than domaining because I know you will surely get your money back if you follow laid down process but domaining is not same. It takes a lot to pull some successes with domaining.
With 100k naira, you can make 5k-20k profit per product on importation as a newbie (though very stressful and demanding but highly rewarding with the right product) than you would with domaining as a newbie. when you add silence that characterise outbound domain names, you can see it can be very frustrating and heart-wrenching.
I do not know how much is involved but if you can make a refund, please do it and trust me, doors may open for you. LAST Year, refunds I made across verticals of businesses I did could be heart breaking but because I know what it feels like to spend money and not being happy at the end of the day, I had to refund people. It should be close to 400 or 500k. I agreed to refund if they are not happy and I kept my promise when they requested. But what God blessed me with close to end of the year is 1000% more than that.
If you can refund, please do it. Well said @2sexycom |

Geofavor: But do you use the PayPal to buy domains easily without worries? I only use to buy domain auction on namepros. I still maintain my Naija PayPal( Private account) while Lesotho is business account. When I tried it on other merchant site, it always redirect me to Naija PayPal. I guess this because of my IP address, and of course I still dey use Naija PayPal. May be if I deleted my Naija PayPal I will be able to use it on other sites. But you know when you win an auction on namepro, the seller will provide you with his/ her PayPal mail address, that's why is easy buying from namepros. But from any other merchant site, no. |

CornOak: Thanks for the tip, I received some $82 at first. I think the mistake I made was initiating withdrawal the same day.
Now, I don't know if I can still use my Africard on a new PayPal account without getting banned again. It is not advisable. Company like PayPal store card details on their database. Is going to be a read flag or what you might do is to delete that account, and give Lesotho a try, who knows it might work? |

CornOak: Unfortunately, after my first transaction Paypal got my account limited. (Iceland PayPal).
Now, I don't know if it would be advisable to open a new Lesotho PayPal and attach the Africard I used for the limited Iceland account. After @channel5 dropped the idea here, I did a little research on my own, I discovered that when you newly open paypal, you should not allow big fund to be pushed in to the account and you shouldn't be quick to withdraw so as to build trust. So when I got like $100 sales I use paypal, little by little I have receive like 500$ onward but I always allow more than 24 hours before withdrawal. PayPal is very delicate to operate, I can't even receive any earnings up to $1k in it, I will rather use wire transfer. Just to avoid story. I have been very careful with it. |

Why this is valuable Comparable domains sold: toursinalaska.com $950 huntinginalabama.com $1,200 cannabisincalifornia.com $420 With all due respect, stop using appraisal bot to justice the value of domain. Just woke up this morning to receive a message from afternic that Highgroundmedia.com was sold at BiN ($450).
I sometimes ago sold this domain on Dan for just $100, in fact, the domain is about to expire when I sold it. I forgot to delist it from afternic. Now I don't know the penalty awaiting my account in afternic. Though I have replied their mail but I just don't know what this might cost me.
**Lesson learnt*** When I bought this name I only targeted two end-users and after series of outbounding both replied with "not interested" so I gave up on the name wanted to drop it but I received an inbound offer of $35 some days for the domain to expire, negotiated to $100 then the domain was sold on Dan.
*Always delist your domain from other marketplace when sold. * If you have good domain hold it, * Don't be discourage when the end users show no interest in your domain in as much the domain is good it will sell is a matter of time
For those of us looking for first sales: patience is the key. * Skill + grace+patience=sales |

Please I have an issue, don't know if its a general thing but some of my recent listed domains on afternic are having 'pending review'... About 3 of them I listed since September are still pending review. I feel something isn't right, because Afternic don't review names before adding, or is it a new development? Contact their help desk, they will rectify it asap. slumbee: Hello people, I wanted to find out if when you finally hit a sale on say DAN.
