Most of the winners can't write their own songs. If you can, however, you have a head start.
Choke, Inyanya, Chidinma, Timi Dakolo etc, are all products of music shows.
On the Global stage, we had one direction, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia Barrino etc

An artist must not write his/her own songs. It's only in Nigeria that hiring professional songwriters is a big deal and that's why you see our artists writing just five useless lines and repeating it over and over on one song. I get embarrassed any time it's "lyrics on the go" on TV and they play Nigerian songs cos our songs are lyrically empty. Adele, Beyonce and they other foreign singers we adore hire five or more writers to work on one song. Although they assist too, but you must not write.

The issue with these singing shows is that they leave their winners to stand on their own after the show. They don't push them

There is usually a wow factor involved in blowing in this Naija. I don't think Bryann has it. The closest I have ever seen from BBN was laycon and even him is still struggling. Fortunately, BBN provides a platform to try your hands on other things. But if na solely music, e go hard Bryann.

Sometimes, it's easier to blow out of nowhere than from a huge platform. It's why all these singing shows hardly produce stars. The best way to blow is by getting along with the right plugs in the industry.....the great record label bosses.

You said "rich uncle". His accounts are loaded. If my account was loaded, I would have gotten a phone by now. Haven't had a phone since May 15, while some people around my age are using more than one expensive phone.

Everyone can't be going through hell. Some had it very easy. There are rich people in Nigeria. You'll be amazed with the way Nigerians would rush iphone 14.

Nigerians are sentimentalists who love sympathy so much. The level of poverty here made some of us hate on rich people. As it stands now, Kidd is my favorite housemate of all time. I just wish they were smart to nominate Nengi or Neo the week Kidd left.

They didn't write WAEC? Getting to the level SSCE is enough for any adult to actually learn basic English. I have just SSCE and I speak well. I don't do accent, just simple English.

But I haven't watched ChiChi say words bearably. Even Phyna is better than her. Phyna's issue is that she's street , she looks funny when she tries plenty English. Na pidgin fit her. She struggles with words, but still better than ChiChi.
