GeeKudi:We can't deny that there are a lot of inside deals that go on within the stock market and those who have information usually reap bountifully from it. I still remember when the information leaked that Starcomms was going bust because the CDMA technology couldn't survive th3 changes coming to the GSM arena which made some people to get out at around NGN9 to NGN10. Unfortunately, many who didn't have such information waited till the company went to sub NGN5 levels from NGN13 before totally vanished off the face of the NSE. Another one prior to the Starcomms scenario was the merger of Stanbic Bank with IBTC Chartered Bank and Regent Bank. I remember the information being out there for people to withhold their shares and not sell at the tender offer price of NGN16. The advice was to wait till the tender offer period was over and concluded because Standard Bank Holding had a minimum they wanted to purchase and would want to buy more shares on the floor of the NSE (as it was called then). This drove the price to slightly above NGN21 per unit before the global financial crisis hit the nation much later. During that global financial crisis period, the share price crashed to about NGN4.00 and some peeps jokingly shared some information that Standard Bank Holding has no choice but to continue to buy those shares with the proceeds of their dividends from the business especially the pension arm. In all of these those who shared the information always spoke in parables and jokes to prevent their identity being revealed because you do not know who is who online and offline. I am sure the same applies to our brothers, the Prophet and Sunrisepebble. Many thanks to them for always sharing their info from their intels. |

essentialone:😜 |
megawealth01:Nice update my brother. I am sure you know that this suggestion you gave about Tantalizer would have been classified as MH as of some period early this year or sometime last year by some of our brethren here. 😜 |
megawealth01:The sun has risen for WAPCO PLC, and its steady rise will ensure that all shadows cast on it disappear by midday. To all those who held on from the time it exhibited single digit, your harvest will come in bountifully laden as it gains momentum with double digits that may possibly approach triple digits if the numbers it churns out continue to favour it. |
crownprince2017:I even thought it was one former Oga in KPMG that was buying the stocks to merge "Tantalizers" with "The Place". I no even know say na some other Ogbologbo finance guys dey do the deals codedly. One thing I have learnt in this global spectrum is that if Nokia was once a company that owned a paper mill, then Rokana making toothbrush can become an Oil and Gas conglomerate tomorrow. 🤔 |
Sunrisepebble:My Sunrisepebble brother, when the sun rises to midday, all shadows of doubt cast on WAPCO PLC will disappear stealthy with alacrity. 😎 Funny thing is that the stock dey play twinning with Zenith PLC. Make we see what's up with the two. |
Health3:This investment world no balance at all o! It definitely is not "Ceterus Paribus". This same Tantalizer PLC was termed MH when someone recommended it late last year. 🤷🏽♂️ |
Sunrisepebble:FlourMills PLC is definitely worth nothing less than NGN150 to NGN200 at the minimum per share. The major investors of foreign Nationalities are trying to rip off Nigerian investors. For a company that has a wide spectrum of products which touch every facet of the human life, to incubating a power plant, being a major contributor to delivery of sugar to the local market with a huge participation in the localisation of sugar production in Nigeria, aggressively focused on expansion plans into Africa as well as delivering more export terminals initiatives across Africa, they can certainly do a lot better. |
Raider76:I got to know Mr Dapo Segun when we worked together on some financial and investment projects. He used to work with Chevron and rose to become one of the group heads of the finance groups in Chevron. He is a very strategic finance and investment professional and played a big role in setting up funding activities for major projects undertaken by Chevron. He was also instrumental towards the growth and management of Chevron's Global Bond Strategy Fund and their General Strategy Fund. He joined NNPC from Chevron a few years ago (less than a decade). |
Raider76:With this move, I see the current administration considering the transformation of the NNPCL into a Publicly Listed Company and eventually listing it on the floors of the NGX, JSE and LSE. |
Sunrisepebble:I understand your views Oga Sunrisepebble. However, most of the people selling their Aradel PLC shares bought them at about NGN250 to NGN2,000.00 when the stock was still known as Niger Delta Exploration Production PLC and its nominal value was at NGN10.00 or NGN20.00 (I can't remember whoch one it was). This gives them an average purchase price between NGN12.50 to NGN100.00 at today's rate so you can see the plane of profits some of them are seated in presently. Dividends never even enter the story o, my Oga. |
Sunrisepebble:Well spoken Oga Sunrisepebble. The banks are ridiculously cheap as things stand on the NGX and possiblyhave a lot of juice in thwm that needs tonbe squeezed out. When the profitability rises to midday on WAPCO PLC, all the shadows of doubt cast on it will disappear stealthy. |
BullBearMkt:Well spoken my Oga. It's buying an asset for significantly less than it is worth in the eyes of others. 👊🏾 🙌🏽 🫡 |
designking:Aradel PLC and Oando PLC seem to behave like the twins in the movie "Double impact" starring Jean Claude Van Damme. 😁 |
Sunrisepebble:When I wanted to buy some on the NASD, I learnt that they have some insider squabbling going on there between the politicians and investors. Anyway, I still went ahead to buy the shares sha under the view that no matter how bad it is, the same set of clueless politicians will not outlast the investors in any publicly listed business venture. 🙄 |
Locotrader:Oga Loco, I greet thee.o! 🙌🏽 🫡 Baba, these wise words from you are similar to the signals RabbiDoracle gave on this platform some few years back. 🤔 He who has learnt from that experience should have sharpened his cutlass, cleared the fields and sowed quickly. One thing I know is that those banking stocks are ridiculously cheap. |
BabsO2:This egbon called Jubril and all these his deft and creative moves dey give people headache o! Na real wah! Why didn't the company release the information before getting a suspension from the NGX? Their action looks like they tried to dissuade people from accessing the stock and garner interest into whatever they have to release to the public. 🤔 It also looks like the bew baby, Oando Clean Energy Limited will take advantage of those CNG buses the Federal and State Governments want to purchase in 2025. 🤔 |
KarlTom:For a country that needs its crude oil production numbers to be above 2 million barrels per day to stabilize its economy, it is surprising how people think that government policies will not favour the new local exploration firms purchasing assets of foreign ones. 🤔 |
Mpeace:😎😎 |
Mpeace:Why will anyone put short term funds into Oando PLC or any other stock when there are many money market instruments available? 🤷🏽♂️ |
I can see we are going back to the Oando route again and we shouldn't start this Oando drama again thereby losing focus! E don do because whichever way we see it, as some people are buying, someone is selling to make that trade happen. Their objectives may be the same or totally different. I know someone who used her annual travel/vacation funds to buy Oando PLC from 2020 to 2022. The lady was called all sort of names by her analyst friends in the industry them especially when everyone was packing their funds into money market funds. She sold her Oando not too long at an average price of NGN89 per unit and keeps wondering how people tried to convince her that Oando was a bad stock that should not even be touched with a long pole. It is this same Oando that has given her profits in 8 figures? Same way people bashed TESLA and Elon in 2018 through 2021 with all those stories of bankruptcy but today many know what's up with TESLA. Na the profits from that Oando sale she don use take balance inside WAPCO, Unilever, Japaul, Zenith and UBA (she chop dividend sef for UBA side). If you go Mandilas to find grade A corporate shirts to find TM Lewin, Hawes and Curtis, Satorial, etc, youL can buy them between the spectrum of NGN3,000 to NGN12,000 per shirt depending on your negotiating prowess. However, if you feel bouyant enough, you can order from the boutiques such as Twice as N or Jumi where they sell new ones at over NGN70,000 per shirt. Someone like Alhaji will not buy his shirt from Mandilas in Lagos Island but others who look up to him will buy theirs there. Na the same brand label dem dey wear so those buying volumes of a particular stock at whatever prices shoukd know what they are doing. Na negotiating power and choice of location for purchase be the koko because every mallam get him own kettle but e no mean say I no fit buy the one wey person don discard, dry clean am wella come use am pose for office or dinner function. The decision taken to get the brand name link the HNIs be keep pace in the game of looking good, prim and sharp is what really matters. The motive behind this post is not to talk about purchasing shirts. 🙏🏽 |
Anyone who has funds in mutual funds or money market funds should be using some of the proceeds from their interest or appreciation to gradually purchase bluechip good dividend paying stocks with strong fundamentals for the long term. They won't regret it in the medium term because it's best to enjoy the fruits from both worlds (money market and equities). With the devaluation and inflationary trends, Nigerian equities are ridiculously cheap. |
megawealth01:When the sun rises to midday in its bright splendour, all shadows cast on Unilever PLC and WAPCO PLC will disappear. 😎 |
megawealth01:Troublemaker brother and a real table shaker with that your laughing emoji. For anyone who wants yo adopt your advice but finds it hard, I would suggest that they stop going to clubs to pop bottles, buying beer and suya for some months and use that money to buy those your recommendations. Last last, they may end up having a storehouse of beer and cattle to feast on for the long term if it turns out very good or they would have just misssed eating out and filling the earth with some wastes (manure) after some short-term enjoyment. 😎 |
Omooloriredade:So companies dey wey senior Oando by many thousands of kilometres for this format. 😳 |
emmaodet:My brother, any mutual fund that is officially registered must be regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission "SEC" which requires that all assets they hold on behalf of investors or unitholders are domiciled with a custodian (a separate entity mandated to hold assets on behalf of the investors and fund managers). This custodial entity must not be associated or affiliated to the fund managers. Technically, your funds are safe with the custodians. If the mutual fund and or fund managers are not registered and regulated by the SEC, run away from them as fast as you can. |
shonyboi:I was just pulling your legs my brother. No vex for your guy o! 🙏🏽 |
debeey87:How I wan ntake know na without the punctuation marks na? If he had put the punctuation marks, it would have made it easier to decipher na. 😂 |
shonyboi:You dey call ProphetUtuocha newbie? 😂 😂 Person wey don show say on top ground, him dey see wetin giants wey climb trees no dey see. 😂 😂 Is okay o! |
megawealth01:Mega Baba, you must receive na because you be Ultra High Networth Individual na. Your own greeting go don come with lunch or dinner date voucher sef. 😂🫡 |
megawealth01:My dear brother and High Chief, you are too much o! I greet you o, Chief! 🙌🏽 https://dailypost.ng/2024/09/26/flour-mills-of-nigeria-bets-big-on-pan-african-expansion-with-strategic-restructuring/ |
