For as long as we've been making babies, women have been exchanging ideas about how to increase their chances of having either a boy or a girl. Unfortunately there's no medical evidence that any of them actually work! Having said that, there'll always be a mum who tells you an old wives' tale worked for her. So if you fancy defying the experts and trying to tip the balance towards one sex yourself, why not try some of the suggestions below. YOU'RE MORE LIKELY TO CONCEIVE A MALE IF... 1)You have sex on the day of ovulation , as male sperm are thought to swim faster and reach the egg first. 2)You reach orgasm before your partner, as this releases an alkaline fluid, thought to be more male-sperm friendly than the vagina's natural acidity. 3)You have deep penetration during sex, such as from behind (doggie-style). 4)Your partner has a high sperm count. This is because male sperm are not as strong as female sperm, and so the higher the count, the more chance there is of a male sperm reaching the egg first. 5)You avoid sex for a week before ovulation and then only have sex once on ovulation day, to keep the sperm count high. 6)Your partner suggested the love-making. 7)You make love at night. You make love on odd days of the month.9)Your partner keeps his genitals cool by wearing boxer shorts and loose-fitting trousers. 10)You eat salty food, plenty of meat, fish, white flour, pasta, fresh fruit, certain vegetables, but avoid milk and dairy products, such as yoghurt and cheese, nuts, chocolate, shellfish and wholemeal bread. YOU'RE MORE LIKELY TO CONCEIVE A FEMALE IF... 1)You have sex earlier on in your cycle, a few days before your day of ovulation. This is because female sperm are thought to be stronger and therefore last longer than male sperm, who will die off before reaching the egg. 2)Your partner reaches orgasm before you. You have sex frequently to lower your partner's sperm count, and so increase the chances of the female sperm reaching the egg first. 3)You keep penetration shallow. 4)You stop having unprotected sex four to five days before ovulation, to minimise the chances of the male sperm reaching the egg first. 5)Your partner keeps his genitals warm by wearing close-fitting underwear and tight trousers (although this isn't likely to do his general fertility any good!) 6)You suggested the love-making. 7)You make love in the afternoon. You make love on even days of the month.9)You put a wooden spoon under your bed and a pink ribbon under your pillow. 10)You drink plenty of milk and eat dairy products such as cheese and yoghurt, unsalted foods, rice, pasta, certain vegetables, mineral water, limited amounts of meat and potatoes, but avoid salt and any salty foods, wine and beer, fresh fruit, spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms, chocolate, coffee and tea. Some of these techniques are recommended as part of the Shettles method of sex selection. Find out What the scientists say about this and other methods. That's is commendable, though that's not the end. The struggle continues. Let's just hope they use their "knowledge" for the betterment of humanity. |
Guess whenever the interviewer asked for range of amount he wants, he always asked for an amount greater than the CEO's. . Perhaps he always said he sees himself as the manager in the next one year. |

THERE aren’t many habits that hold a worse reputation than nail biting, and still, that never seems to stop us. While some people bite their nails in the face of anxiety, for others, the motivation is much less well-defined. I’m a nail biter — have been since as long as I can remember. But I can promise you, I don’t bite them because I’m especially nervous or anxious. I don’t bite them because they taste good, either. For me, it’s sort of just a habit — one that I engage in for no specific reason. Almost like an instinct. It turns out that nail biting, albeit a bad habit, might not be so bad as the common perception, and what’s more — there might actually be a good side to nail biting. 1) Nail biting boosts your immune system: While biting your fingernails isn’t the cleanest of habits, it has been linked to certain health benefits. Our hands are filthy, which in the case of nail biting, is actually a good thing. Every time we find ourselves gnawing away at our fingernails, we’re exposing our bodies to a multitude of new germs. Some even immune-boosting. However, once our bodies have been exposed to these potentially harmful germs for the first time, we start to build up antibodies and subsequently strengthen our immune systems. It’s the same concept as the “flu shot,” where a vaccine will inject a minuscule amount of the virus into our bodies to avoid any serious infection. Additionally, by constantly biting your nails and bringing newer germs into your body, you’re, in effect, “working out” your immune system. By keeping your immune system actively fending off bacteria, you’re continuously strengthening it more and more. 2) Biting your nails relieves stress: According to Amy Standen of npr.org , nail biting is now considered an act of “pathological grooming,” and psychologically viewed in the same vein as obsessive compulsive disorder. The distinction that she draws between the two, however, is that while people with OCD carry out compulsive behaviours for no real reason — such as closing the door three times or checking the stove five times before leaving the house — people who bite their nails do so for a reason, and receive satisfaction from doing so. This is because nail biting is done to relieve stress. Standen interviewed Carol Mathews, a psychiatrist and a specialist of all things nail biting, and Mathews explained the “reward system” that nail biters engage in. During times of pressure or anxiety, when you bite “the right nail,” it just sort of “feels good,” according to Mathews. This is why nail biting is such an advantageous stress relief method when compared to more dangerous vices such as, say, a cigarette. 3) Some of your favourite celebrities bite their nails: While I’m sure the series of A-list celebrities who bite their nails is much longer than the one provided by nailchewer.com, I’m pretty content with the variety that they included. Famous superstars Tom Cruise, Eva Mendes, Elijah Wood, Britney Spears, Phil Collins and Andy Roddick are all celebrity nail chewers, among others. 4) Nail biters work well under pressure: Although the old stereotype links nail biters to nervous, hesitant, frightful people — an old newspaper describing pilots during WWII suggests the opposite. According to this source, the best pilots during World War II were “not the calm ones,” but the ones who were nail biters. According to the Dr. Maury Massler, chewing habits and other examples of oral fixation are valuable methods of releasing and coping with stress. While it’s a common stereotype that nail biters are constantly nervous — by biting their nails, it often results in the opposite. So this stereotype is rather flawed in its logic. Nervousness may cause, or ignite, nail biting — but, usually, not the other way around. source : www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health/health-problems/why-biting-your-nails-could-actually-be-good-for-you/news-story/e5859d87ffdfa46d45e17b1baf3fd681 |

There is this woman I know that is yet to born so I told someone close to her to advise her to go for child adoption, out of pity though. But the funny part is that I myself don't even know the procedures. I hereby seek for enlightening on child adoption in Nigeria. And also, I would like to know if she can sue to court anybody abusing her because of her act of adoption, just like how you can sue anybody for castigating an HIV/AIDS victim. Thanks. |

Please, I need to know the amount being paid pharmacists for their internship and also how much they get as the starting salary. At least to know whether this pharmacy course self is worth dying for. Always reading like hell. Thanks |
Though, period in women is very important but at times it is embarrassing if not done well. My own experience was on a schoolday. A female corper was teaching with all zeal and enthusiasm but 80% of the class attention was on her bloating leaky and wet skirt. I felt sad and sorry for her that day. So, a lady must understand herself well. Let us share experience and how to help ourselves from this unintentional embarrassment at any other time. #not restricted to ladies only. |
