emkz: Instead of Landmark CEO to be proactive, he went to the media to whip up ethnic sentiments against the project.
Turns out not even a significant portion of his business was affected. His only grouse was that he'd lose the beachfront.
Why didn't he come out to state it like that? No, he instead sponsored social media attacks against Federal Government and attacked FG for not taking permission from him before building coastal road through land that rightfully belongs to Federal Government.
Right now, there are social media posts where some people are asking their people not to invest in Lagos. How did a project turn into an ethnic fight?
Remember that yesterday, Peter Obi, latched on the mob and "ordered" the government to immediately stop the project to protect businesses. In Obi's myopic view, there is no benefit of building the coastal road in Lagos, and rural communities in the Niger Delta. He also prophesied that the project would be abandoned.
It is politics for him, not about development!
Dear voters, remember your interest is paramount and you must only vote for politicians who genuinely care about your future and want to bring development to your area. Just like they supported Emefiele’s naira repainting project that wiped off more than 15 trillion from our economy, they are at ut again. Himself and Atiku. Do not fall into the trap of being led by visionless, lousy lousers, who have no capacity for forward and progressive thinking.
Know your enemies today, and do not be deceived.
By the way, when the Kano-Maradi railway commenced, why didn't Peter Obi and Atiku fight it? do you think this current govt fear God ? |

Politics › Re: Landmark Demolition: I'm Glad I Left Nigeria - Tayo Aina by olowo1930: 3:59pm On May 01, 2024 |
emkz: What are the issues?
(1) Landmark admitted they violated the right of way of FG.
(2) They have not proved that they own the coastal land.
(3) The demolition only affected some shanties, and hardly the main buildings.
(4) Landmark wanted to fight the project to protect their selfish interest.
(5) How come he didn't seek redress in court if he felt his land was forcefully taken away from him?
(6) Why are other businesses not making so much noise like Landmark?
If anyone wants to take his businesses out of Nigeria, he can consider the market and the operating conditions. Landmark goofed here. They never asked the right questions. They felt if they build on that land and stayed for long, it would automatically belong to them. The least I expected him was to find another location in Lagos to continue. Just inform your patrons of the new location.
How hard is that? sir, are you alright? Do you know what you are saying ? I reserve my comment. I know you are a big man. When it gets to your turn we shall see it. |

How can Nigeria govt regulate commodity price, when farmers are paying for security to secure their farmland and farm produce . When you remove subsidy you think it won't affect commodity. By May this year we shall celebrate one year in seige APC. I don't expect anything good from this current administration, you said you increased allocation nobody maintained minimum wage. Righthussle: I'm always surprised when Christians complain about hardship. It's either they don't know how powerful their god is, or their god has lost his power, or they're not asking in the proper name of their god. A god that turned water to wine in a party should be able to turn sand to rice or garri, stones to pieces of meat in a time like this for his worshippers. Just ask
John 14:14, If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. God is never a man that you can doubt. He will surly scatter them and use them to fix Nigeria and send them to early grave. Just like plasm 2 vs 12. |
