PoliticsEbira Youth Congress Dissociates Self From Sen. Natasha’s Banners by Oluboh(op): 8:26am On Apr 03, 2025
EYC DISCLAIMS IMPOSTORS, DISSOCIATES ITSELF FROM PARTISAN POLITICS

1. Our attention has been drawn to a printed banner with the inscription: "The Youth of Kogi Central Are Proud of You, We are Solidly Behind You". Whilst we are seriously trying to unearth the identity of those mischief makers who printed the banner in our name, EYC takes serious exception to this glaring and flagrant impersonation.

2. We condemned in strong terms, the sinister motive of those impostors for misrepresenting EYC as a political support organisation. While we described them as charlatans who are hellbent to tarnish the image of this umbrella youth body of Ebira people, we equally warned them to retract their steps as we are willing and ready to confront them with their falsehood. EYC was founded as an apolitical organisation and its primary assignment is conceived to frontally defend and promote the interests of our fatherland.

3. To put the record straight, EYC has ever remained an apolitical organisation since its creation, and we dissociate ourselves from the activity of those impersonators for impugning the integrity of this esteemed socio-cultural organisation by affiliating its leadership to a political gathering particularly, the homecoming of Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan without our prior knowledge.

4. Therefore, EYC states without equivocation that such political outing associated with its leadership abhors the very essence of its creation, and it is an attempts by some mischief makers to rubbish the image of its present leadership before the general public.

5. As the umbrella youth organisation of Ebira people both at home and in diaspora, we usually remain apolitical in any political contest that concerns the sons and daughters of Ebiraland whilst upholding its basic programmes which are anchored on community activism, strong advocacy for societal development and peaceful coexistence.

6. EYC has remained and it will continue to remain as a unified organisation that is poised with undiluted commitment to strengthening the bonds and deepening cooperation of Ezianebira regardless of political persuasions and religious creeds. This is the original philosophy which underpinned its creation for nearly a quarter of a century.

The photo below was taken few days after the alleged sexual harassment took place, however allegation was made over a year later when she was asked to apologize for outburst at the senate following seats reallocation

The Verdict

Despite her relentless allegations, Senator Natasha’s credibility suffered. Many wondered—was she truly a target, or had she mastered the art of political victimhood? Whatever the truth, one thing was certain: in the world of Nigerian politics, the line between reality and theatrics had never been thinner.

2025: The Triple Assault

By 2025, Natasha had sharpened her weapons. In a dramatic turn of events, she accused both Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Yahaya Bello of a new assassination plot. The Senate chambers were in an uproar, but security agencies found no credible threat.

Just as the dust was settling, another accusation flew—this time, against Akpabio alone. Natasha claimed he had sexually harassed her, adding to her long list of alleged enemies. Akpabio, caught between shock and amusement, called it a “political witch hunt.”

But she wasn’t done yet. Later that year, she accused Akpabio of orchestrating her removal from a key Senate position due to her stance on LNG plant investments. The claim sparked debates, but analysts pointed out that her removal had little to do with gas plants and more with party dynamics.

2023: A Familiar Accusation

As the 2023 elections loomed, Natasha returned to familiar ground, once again alleging that Yahaya Bello was plotting to kill her. This time, she claimed the threats were even more severe. Yet, just like in 2019, no concrete proof surfaced. Bello, now a seasoned veteran of her accusations, laughed it off, calling it a “scripted distraction.”

2021: A Scandalous Allegation

Two years later, another storm brewed—this time outside the political sphere. Natasha accused political commentator Reno Omokri of sexual harassment. Social media erupted, but Reno countered with his own evidence, vehemently denying the allegations. The case never gained legal traction, but it added another chapter to Natasha’s growing list of battles.
Natasha Akpoti even released videos addressing the said allegation, but when Reno tendered evidences to the contrary, she immediately deleted her videos and posts. She then contacted Reno omokri through a religious leader who pleaded to Reno and paid him heavily for damages, settling out of court

The Serial Accusations of Natasha

In the murky waters of Nigerian politics, few figures stood as boldly—or controversially—as Senator Natasha. She built her reputation not only on her activism but on a long list of unverifiable accusations, each more dramatic than the last.

2019: A Plot in the Shadows?

The first bombshell came in 2019, when she accused then-Governor Yahaya Bello of plotting to assassinate her. The claim sent shockwaves through political circles, but as investigations unfolded, no evidence emerged. Bello dismissed it as a desperate attempt to gain sympathy ahead of the Kogi elections.

Natasha Akpoti Deletes Facebook Post After Constituents Allege Her Plot to Continue Illegal Rally and Shift Blame

See previous article
https://www.nairaland.com/8386190/illegal-rally-natasha-akpoti-must#134798968

In a dramatic turn of events, Natasha Akpoti has reportedly deleted her earlier Facebook post after sharp criticism from constituents who accused her of plotting to continue an illegal rally that could indirectly incite violence and shift blame. This development comes amidst growing concerns that Akpoti’s planned gathering in Kogi Central was a calculated attempt to destabilize the region and frame the state government for any ensuing chaos.

Earlier, Akpoti made a post suggesting that should violence break out, Nigerians should hold Governor Usman Ododo, former Governor Yahaya Bello, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio responsible. However, as the people of Kogi Central began to question her motives and expose what they believe to be a deliberate attempt to defy government orders and stir unrest, she quickly took down the post.

Leaked intelligence had already suggested that she was mobilizing paid supporters and infiltrators to cause disruptions at the rally, an accusation that fueled widespread condemnation. Many Kogi residents took to social media to call out her alleged attempts to manipulate public perception and disregard official directives banning rallies due to security concerns.

The deletion of her post only raises further suspicions. If she was truly advocating for peace, why retract her message? Was it an attempt to erase evidence of her premeditated plan? These are the questions being asked by concerned citizens who believe that her actions are not in the best interest of Kogi Central.

Security agencies must remain on high alert and ensure that anyone attempting to instigate violence is held accountable. Natasha Akpoti’s history of defying government orders and playing the victim while endangering the people should not go unchecked. If any disturbance occurs as a result of her rally, the authorities must act decisively to enforce the law and protect the peace of Kogi Central.

PoliticsConstituents Accusse Natasha Akpoti Of Shift Blames If Violence Breaks Out by Oluboh(op): 11:35am On Apr 01, 2025
The Kogi State government had earlier prohibited all rallies and large gatherings in response to the escalating communal and political tensions, a move aimed at safeguarding lives and properties. However, in a blatant act of defiance, Natasha Akpoti has continued to push forward with her planned rally, disregarding security concerns and legal directives.

According to leaked intelligence, part of her strategy involves planting violent agitators within the crowd to create chaos and escalate tensions. The plan allegedly includes causing deliberate disruptions and then using social media and certain paid media outlets to falsely accuse the state government of attacking her supporters. This reckless ploy not only threatens the peace of Kogi Central but also endangers innocent lives.

This is not the first time that such security measures have been taken to prevent disorder. Similar bans on public gatherings have been implemented in other states like Bayelsa, Anambra, and Rivers when tensions ran high, successfully averting crises. Akpoti’s blatant refusal to comply with these necessary precautions demonstrates her disregard for the safety of the people she claims to represent.

Given this alarming revelation, the security agencies must act swiftly. If Natasha Akpoti proceeds with her gathering and any violence erupts, she must be arrested and held fully accountable for her actions. The government must not allow any individual, regardless of their political status, to compromise public peace and stability.

The people of Kogi Central deserve a safe and secure environment, free from politically motivated crises. Any attempt by Natasha Akpoti to incite violence and manipulate public perception must be met with firm legal consequences. It is imperative that law enforcement agencies remain vigilant and ensure that those who endanger public order face the full weight of the law.

PoliticsHold Natsha Responsible if Violence Erupts in Kogi Central - Constituents by Oluboh(op):
As Kogi State grapples with communal and political tensions, the state government has taken necessary measures to ensure the safety of its people by banning rallies and large gatherings. This proactive step is meant to prevent escalation of violence, infiltration by unknown miscreants, and general disorder. However, despite these directives, Natasha Akpoti has once again defied orders and proceeded with a gathering, risking the peace and security of Kogi Central.

In a recent post on her Facebook page, she attempted to shift potential blame onto Governor Usman Ododo, former Governor Yahaya Bello, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio. She stated, “My dear people of Kogi Central, I look forward to our PEACEFUL Sallah celebrations today. However, should we be met with or infiltrated by violence, Nigerians should hold Gov Òdodo, Yahaya Bello & SP Godswill Akpabio wholly responsible.”

This statement, while seemingly innocent, is a dangerous tactic that disregards the fact that her actions are in direct violation of lawful orders. The government has a responsibility to maintain law and order, and such bans on public gatherings are not unique to Kogi State.

For instance, in Bayelsa State, during heightened political tensions, the government placed similar restrictions on public rallies to prevent violence. In Anambra and Rivers States, bans were imposed to curb security threats, ensuring the safety of citizens. These measures have historically been taken to prevent chaos and loss of lives.

Natasha Akpoti’s continued disregard for government directives is not new. She has consistently positioned herself above the law, openly challenging orders that are meant to protect lives and property. Her defiance poses a real risk to the people she claims to be fighting for. Should any violence erupt in Kogi Central as a result of her unlawful gathering, the government must hold her accountable. The law is clear: those who incite or facilitate disobedience and potential anarchy must face the full weight of the law.

The people of Kogi Central deserve peace and stability, not reckless political theatrics that put them in harm’s way. Natasha Akpoti must not be allowed to continue this pattern of defiance without consequences. "If any harm comes to innocent citizens due to the disorder her actions invite, she must be arrested and made to face justice", Kogi Central Constituents said while speaking to our reporter.

Kogi State cannot afford to be thrown into chaos because of one individual’s unrelenting ambition. The government has spoken, and the law must be upheld. Any further acts of disobedience should be met with the full force of legal action to deter further violations and protect the lives of Kogi’s citizens.

PoliticsSen. Natasha’s Recall Saga: Why Logic Must Prevail Over Emotion by Oluboh(op): 9:49am On Mar 27, 2025
The ongoing recall process against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has exposed a clear divide between public sentiment and political maneuvering. Initially, her supporters dismissed the effort as impossible, largely because many of them are not from Kogi Central Senatorial District and have no real stake in the process. However, the people of Kogi Central, who are directly affected by her misrepresentation, have remained steadfast in their resolve to reclaim their mandate.

At first, Natasha’s supporters trivialized the recall, mocking the petitioners, when she submitted the recall petition to INEC. Their mockery intensified when INEC observed that there were omission of address, email and contact of the petitioners, which they hastily declared as a fatal flaw. Yet, within 24 hours, the petitioners rectified the mistake and submitted the required details, an act that reinforced their determination to see the recall process through.

Now, faced with the undeniable momentum of the recall, Natasha’s supporters are shifting the narrative. Instead of addressing the core issue of alleged lack of accountability and effective representation, they have resorted to blaming former Governor Yahaya Bello and the incumbent Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, accusing them of orchestrating the recall. However, neither Bello nor Ododo has made any statement regarding the issue, making these allegations baseless distractions from the real matter at hand.

This shift in argument from “the recall is impossible” to “it’s politically motivated” reveals a desperate attempt to evade accountability. Instead of engaging in emotional outbursts and conspiracy theories, Natasha’s supporters should apply logic. If the senator has truly represented her people well, then they should remain calm and watch how events unfolds rather than resorting to blame games.

In the end, logic always wins over emotion. Instead of attacking individuals or cooking up conspiracy theories, it is time to face the reality of the situation: the people of Kogi Central have the constitutional right to recall their senator if they feel unrepresented. Rather than fighting the recall with sentiments, Natasha’s supporters should present logical and factual reasons why she deserves to remain in office.

Senator Natasha Akpoti’s Silence on False Accusation Against Me Speaks Volumes

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation, Sky News, and Deutsche Welle,

In the interest of transparency and fair reporting, I urge you to balance your coverage of Senator Natasha Akpoti’s recent claims by acknowledging a critical fact: many months have passed, yet she has failed to deny the well-documented evidence that she falsely accused me of sexual harassment in 2021.

This is the same offense she now alleges against Senate President Godswill Akpabio. However, when she made similar accusations against me, she ultimately retracted and deleted her claims after I presented unimpeachable evidence, including my passport stamp and a First Class British Airways ticket, proving I was not even in Nigeria at the time she alleged the incident occurred.

Rather than standing by her story, she quietly withdrew her false allegations—without apology, without explanation. Even more telling, her then-fiancé, now-husband, Mr. Emmanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan, reached out to me in a three-way call with a respected Christian clergyman, pleading for an out-of-court settlement. This culminated in a significant financial payment to me, described as an “offering.”

Despite all this, Natasha Akpoti has refused to address the fact that she knowingly made false allegations against me. She has never countered the overwhelming evidence I presented or refuted the settlement made by her husband on her behalf.

Is it not in the public interest for your esteemed media organizations to highlight this pattern? If a person can falsely accuse one man, what stops them from doing it again? Notably, I am not the only one—she has also accused a cabinet minister of sexual harassment. How many times can someone make similar allegations before it raises legitimate questions about their credibility?

The best predictor of future behavior is past character. Senator Natasha Akpoti is articulate, persuasive, and skilled at using emotional theatrics to frame situations to her advantage. Her silence on her past falsehoods speaks volumes, and I urge you to ensure that in your reporting, the public is presented with the full picture, not just a one-sided narrative.

Getting the facts right is the foundation of responsible journalism. In this instance, it appears the propaganda has been reported accurately—but not the truth.

Politics"Paid Media & Fake News Won't Stop Your Recall"- Constituents To Natasha by Oluboh(op): 10:30am On Mar 25, 2025
Constituents of Kogi Central Senatorial district has vowed to keep pushing for Senator Natasha's recall until they achieve success. They accused her team of deploying paid media narratives and circulating misleading videos to discredit the movement. Despite these alleged attempts to manipulate public perception, the recall process has continued to gather significant support across the five local government areas of the senatorial district.

Yesterday, the petition to Recall Senator Natasha was formally submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, and as such, entered the 90days phase for verification of the process.

Earlier last week, thousands of registered voters across Kogi Central came out in large numbers to sign the recall petition, demonstrating their resolve to remove Natasha from office. Reports from Okene, Okehi, Ajaokuta, Adavi, and Ogori/Magongo local government areas indicated that the recall exercise witnessed an overwhelming response, with community leaders, youth groups, and women’s organizations actively mobilizing support.

Speaking on the development, a local leader in Okene, Alhaji Musa Yakubu, stated:
"The turnout we saw was historic. People trooped out to sign the recall petition because they are fed up with the deceit and lack of proper representation. Natasha's team can use all the money they want to bribe the media, but they cannot change the will of the people."

Similarly, an elderly voter from Adavi, Madam Fatima Ado, emphasized that the recall is a grassroots movement, saying:
"We know what is happening. No amount of propaganda can stop us. Natasha was given the chance to represent us, but she has failed, and we are exercising our democratic right to recall her."

As the recall process gains traction, reports have emerged that Natasha’s team is allegedly paying media outlets to paint the recall movement as politically motivated. Constituents argue that several sponsored reports have appeared in both online and traditional media, falsely claiming that the recall is the work of her political rivals rather than a legitimate demand from the people.

Furthermore, Natasha’s camp has been accused of recycling an old video of voter registration in an attempt to portray the recall signatures as fraudulent. The video, which has been widely shared by her supporters, purportedly shows individuals forging names on a document. However, fact-checkers and community members have debunked the clip, confirming that it was recorded years ago and has no connection to the ongoing recall process.

Reacting to these tactics, Comrade Jafar Aliu Kamaludeen, a spokesperson for the Kogi Central Concerned Stakeholders, said:
"They are desperate. They know the people are against her, so they are using every trick in the book—paying journalists, spreading old videos, and making false accusations. But they cannot stop the truth. The people of Kogi Central have decided, and they are taking action."

What’s Next?

With the recall process progressing rapidly, stakeholders are calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to remain neutral and ensure that due process is followed.
As the battle between Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and her constituents intensifies, one thing remains clear—the people of Kogi Central are determined to make their voices heard, regardless of any media influence or misinformation campaign.

The petition was submitted on Monday and received by the commission’s secretary, Rose Oriaran-Anthony.

The petition reads: “CONSTITUENTS’ PETITION FOR THE RECALL OF SENATOR NATASHA AKPOTI-UDUAGHAN ON GROUNDS OF LOSS OF CONFIDENCE

“Dear Sir,

1. We, the undersigned, being duly registered voters of the Kogi Central Senatorial District, hereby invoke our rights under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to formally demand the recall of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from the Nigerian Senate.

2. In particular, this petition for the recall of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is brought pursuant to Section 69 of the 1999 Constitution of The Federal Republic of Nigeria (As Amended), as well as INEC’S Regulations and Guidelines for Recall Petitions.

3. Kindly recall that Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan emerged as our Senator by verdict of the Court of Appeal, Abuja, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 which affirmed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate as winner of the February 25, 2023 Kogi Central Senatorial election.

4. 5. By this petition, which we have made sure is signed by more than one-half of the registered voters in Kogi Central, we hereby demand that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) immediately commence the constitutional and procedural process of recall to remove Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from office and declare her seat vacant.”

PoliticsSen Natasha Rushes To Share Grains As Constituents Intensify Recall Efforts by Oluboh(op): 6:47pm On Mar 23, 2025
*Under Fire and Facing Recall, Senator Natasha Rushes to ‘Buy Back’ Constituents with Food Distribution*

As the recall process against her gains momentum, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has launched a food distribution program across Kogi Central senatorial district, handing out grains to constituents in what many see as a strategic move to regain public favor.

The distribution, which includes bags of beans, bags of millet, comes at a time when dissatisfaction with the senator has been growing, leading to active efforts to recall her from office. While the initiative is officially described as Ramadan relief, critics argue that it is a calculated attempt to sway public sentiment in her favor.

He noted that the grains are being shared across all 57 wards, targeting religious groups, market women, and party supporters. However, many political observers believe the distribution is a direct response to the increasing pressure from constituents who feel disillusioned with her leadership.

Badamasiu urged beneficiaries to pray for Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, particularly in the last ten days of Ramadan, emphasizing that her suspension does not nullify her mandate. He also claimed that the senator had performed exceptionally well within her first year in office, despite the growing calls for her removal.

In what appears to be a broader damage-control strategy, Badamasiu also revealed that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan would soon roll out new empowerment programs, including skills training and financial support for selected constituents.

While her supporters hail these efforts as proof of her commitment to the people, skeptics argue that such gestures are too little, too late—especially in the face of a recall process driven by the very people she now seeks to appease.

Breaking News: Federal High Court Clears Way for Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan's Recall Process

In a landmark judgement delivered in Lokoja, a Federal High Court has set aside an earlier ruling that restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from receiving the recall process initiated by constituents of Kogi Central Senatorial District against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

The court's decision, announced just a few minutes ago, affirms that the recall process is constitutionally valid and aligns with the civic rights of the constituents. The judge urged the constituents to continue exercising their rights in an orderly and peaceful manner, as they have done so far.

This development is a significant step forward for the constituents, who had launched the recall process citing a vote of no confidence in Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan's representation. The recall process, guided by INEC's constitutional guidelines, may potentially lead to the senator's removal from office before the end of her term.

Leadership Goes Beyond Social Media – Kogi Central Needs a Senator Who Delivers Beyond the Spotlight and Off the Camera

The people of Kogi Central did not elect a content creator to represent them in the Red Chamber, and they certainly cannot accept one now. Representation in the Senate demands dedication to legislative duties, engagement in national discourse, and a commitment to addressing the challenges faced by the people. Unfortunately, what we have seen so far falls short of these expectations.

Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan should prioritize social media activities over her legislative responsibilities. A public office is not a platform for self-promotion but a responsibility to serve. The role of a senator extends beyond online engagements; it requires active participation in discussions that shape policies and impact the well-being of constituents. How can Senator Natasha engage productively in the Senate, after burning all the bridges required for synergy?

Her lack of engagement in critical matters affecting Kogi Central raises concerns about her commitment to the people she represents. Effective leadership is measured by actions that improve lives, not by online presence or unnecessary confrontations. Picking fights with authorities will not bring development to Kogi Central; rather, it risks alienating the constituency from the benefits that come with collaboration and constructive engagement.

Furthermore, her approach to governance sets a concerning precedent for women in leadership. Women deserve more opportunities in governance, but occupying a position without meaningful impact only makes it harder for others to gain similar opportunities in the future. Leadership should inspire confidence, not controversy.

The Kogi Central Women Development Association strongly condemns the repeated outbursts and conducts unbecoming of a senator. The people of Kogi Central deserve a representative who will genuinely fight for their interests, contribute meaningfully to legislative matters, and ensure that development reaches every part of the constituency.

The people of Kogi Central deserve quality representation, not someone nearing her fifties who exploits claims of sexual harassment (an alleged claims made without any substantial evidences) instead of setting a positive example for those who look up to her as a leader.
