mapet:
You started with saying let's discuss issues............
yet you said the school feeding program is poorly impelimented and politicized ...you never mentioned "HOW". You baselessly asked "if the school feeding program is targeted at the next election......." like that was what the proponents told you?

You then went into "Investment in education in every serious nation is targeted at reducing poverty, advancing science and technology
improving on quality of lives etc."
yet you fail to (dis)connect this statement with the issues you ask to be discussed.

You now concluded (albeit poorly) that "We play politics with everything in Nigeria that why this program seems to be a tool for election!" Hmm!

What I see here is poor understanding, conception and articulation your thoughts and argument. Let me just address few issues for you to ponder upon

1. @poorly implemented and politicized - It is either you're trying to be clever by half or you're just patently ignorant. A program that is being painstakingly and comprehensively implemented is what you call poorly. A program that it's implementation put a large swathe of stakeholders (schools, farmers, caterers, poultry workers, health-immunization), etc in its value chain is what you call poorly implemented and politicized? Even if you decided to suspend reasoning just for the sake of "arguments", a program is robust enough to get the attention of Al-Jazeera (after having gotten the attention of BBC).....did not tell you something about it's implementation? Haba! Bros, fear God.

2. @ "Investment in education in every serious nation is targeted at reducing poverty, advancing science and technology
improving on quality of lives etc."
- This is just a vague statement that carries virtually no import in this context if you cannot situate it in the current realities on ground. Pray tell! is the school feeding program meant to serve the rich? Is it meant to reduce quality of life?

3. @Politics - I agree with you that we play politics with everything in Nigeria, if not, people like you that should have humbly declared their ignorance about the program and ask to be educated will not jump in with pseudo-intellect to make assertive statements. One would have expected that by now we are discussing sustainability and scale, we be discussing how to tightly integrate other aspects of the economy into the value-chain like local packaging industry (for example the tetra-pack model)

In summary....we can perceive your innate intention (deception) from a mile
"In summary....'WE' shocked can perceive your innate intention (deception) from a mile" shocked shocked shocked shocked

modath:
It's a long read & the article is a couple of months old but the point is that, the social investment programme this government has embarked on is nurturing and progressive...

This and programmes like Trader Moni & N-Power are what the vultures are aiming to block from the system... God and the patriots in the nation will never allow that happen.

PDP & their Atikulooters plan to stop this and replace with fake PMS price reduction.... with Dangote refinery & 2 modulars one in the pipeline (Pun intended), PMS price crash is a matter of "when" not IF...
angry Can we discuss issues without insulting each other?
The program is a good one but It's poorly implemented and grossly politicized shocked
If the school feeding program is targeted at the next election then it has failed completely.
Investment in education in every serious nation is targeted at reducing poverty, advancing science and technology
improving on quality of lives etc.
We play politics with everything in Nigeria that why this program seems to be a tool for election!

Nigeria politics is just the opposite of what politics means in a sane country.
Politics is supposed to be for what you could provide for the people ironically ours is to feed the elites and when their over fed they run mad angry

Ajaokuta is a mining town.

Man and materials would be conveyed to and fro.

For schedules and stations Google is your friend.
I don't google about my country my friend, those distorted stories there are aimed at lazy Nigerians.
Go to any National archives and look out for what Warri-Itakpe line was built for!
If the purpose of which the initial project was contracted for isn't feasible then they owe us explanation.
Not twisting it for political gains.
I doubt if you ever traveled on train in this country I did! So you should know I know more than you

There's nothing like a line completely dedicated to cargo.

Stop fooling yourself.
Wise man pls tell me where the stations are?
I would like to go for the free ride!
You are the one fooling yourself here.
You should as well ask yourself what is the significance of a rail line between Warri and Itakpe?
Not Warri-Benin or Lagos shocked

honestly, u guys are so shameless and uncalculated in your defence, everything has been done before Buhari yet nothing was working before he came on board....will u die if u give simple kudos for a job well done?
You lack understanding of the discussion here.
I doubt if you even know how the Nigerian railways are designed.
Just to update you, that line it's an industrial line dedicated for iron ore and other solid minerals between the steel industry in Warri and Itakpe.
The minister or whoever is behind this information knew Buhari followers lacks knowledge and understanding shocked shocked

felines:
I used to work at Itakpe near okene where the iron ore mining company is located. This line is a dedicated iron ore line, long long ago completed and having serviceable locomotives already. It was NEVER conceived to be a mass transit line, and was under the purview of the ministry of power and steel.
The idea that it is now for mass transit means the iron and steel plant is being shelved, and that is worrying. If you are truly on a mission to revive the economy, awaken the steel company. That will empower the region in much the same way as an oil company would.
God bless you.
They think all Nigerians are their stooges!
Its so disturbing what we are doing to ourselves cos of politics, sad.

Another abandoned project completed and delivered by PMB. By tomorrow, Olongbojiyan will issue another statement claiming Jonathan and PDP initiated, paid for and completed the project but forgot to make it work before hand over. Kudos to PMB jare.
sad It's obvious zombies have a different meaning to "abandon"
I wish PMB could initiate any project the way GEJ did during his administration.
Itakpe/Warri line is an industrial line already concluded to a standard gauge rail system.
Running around Nigeria looking for tapes to cut won't add value to this confused administration. shocked
