Hello Just reapply again for a new one on the www.possap.ng website. All your details would still be on your profile and you make payment again. MadeMan01: |
Congrats. Kindly go to the police command location you choose while filling your application form for biometric data capture or any location close to you. It really doesn't matter because I choose Adekunle, Yaba and I did my capture at Alagbon, Ikoyi. Kindly hold PR kudi...if you know..you know. Legitmenaija: |
Kindly follow the steps I outlined above and you are good to go. First thing is to register online at www.possap.ng Legitmenaija: |
Hello At what stage is your application? If its still showing secretariat routing as unchecked, you will have to hold on until its checked completed and then they will send you the biometric capture form. Stan554: |
Register on the website www.possap.ng with your email address. Kindly ensure its an email you have access to and use regularly. Fill the online form and ensure you pick "International " as your location, thats for Nigerians in diaspora. You will be ask for your international passport data page, passport photograph and proof of address you are abroad( probably ur PR card or other means of identification) Make the payment of N30,000 ( N25,000 and N5000) and once payment goes through and is confirmed, you will be sent a biometric form to fill and resend back. The process for those in the diaspora is so straightforward and easy...no bottle neck or room for corruption. Turn around time for all this process should be 48-72 hours maximum. You could even get lucky and get it done in 24 hours. Cheers. dabrowny: |
For the physical card, you can use a GT bank dollar card or Wema bank dollar card. You have to make a request for it and have a domiciliary account with either bank and pay dollar into the domiciliary account and then transfer to the card using your online banking. For the virtual card, you can use Vesti virtual card and its quite effective. Download the app and get verified. I used it to pay for my wife Naric (Ecctis). Best regards. sunny4jazz: |
I believe you would use your diaspora address as you will likely be asked for proof of this. Read back a bit. There is someone that did his own from diaspora, which might help you understand what you need to do. Amicableoga: |
You are welcome. Stallion93: |
Officially online after registration and completing the form is N30k (N25k and N5k) and you get a confirmation of payment immediately. To get your biometric done, you might have to apply wisdom and use a plug (dont pay more than 35% of the cost you paid online). Goodluck. SirPilgrim: |
Kindly logout or refresh the page, login back and you are good to go. Its a security feature to ensure someone else does not have access to your PCC. Deeofdeebeauty: |

Yes thats not a problem, I will link you up with the plug. I got your email but I responded but got a mailer daemon so I think there is a problem with Nairaland mail forwarding. Kindly drop your email or how to contact you. zenith2k9: |
Hello, Keep checking the online page you registered on. It will be dropped there and all you have to do is download it on your phone or laptop. You will be sent an email or sms to inform you the process is completed.

|
This is the second stage and it wont likely move from this stage unless you use a plug. They will tell you to wait for 3-4 days that it would move but most times, it wont. Next stage is for you to go for biometric capture once it moves from this stage. Which State are you in, Lagos? Deeofdeebeauty: |
Hello, send me a mail please. Tochitee: |
I did my biometric capture on Tuesday and it went smoothly, no long queue or hiccups. The officer that attended to me was quite pleasant. The one that attended to my wife was a bit nasty, guess she was tired and easily irritated. It moved to the 3rd stage, 4th stage and 5th stage all through the evening and dropped at about midnight or thereabout. When I checked the status at 3am, it was completed and the PCC document was available for download. A completion email was also sent. My wife got a completion sms, I didnt. I registered for her on Friday morning, I did my own registration on Sunday morning. I used the plug to move both on Monday morning and we did biometric capture on Tuesday evening. PCC was available to use on Wednesday. So the turn around time using my own timeline is 3 days. You can actually achieve it in 2 days or the same day you submit if your plug is on hand. |
You would have to register first with your email to be able to sign-in and proceed. Filling the form afterwards is simple and straightforward. Stallion93: |
I did it online, its actually a seamless process and takes less than 10 minutes. But after that, the waiting game starts and you will need a plug to help expedite it, which really should not be the case. I will be going for biometric capture tomorrow. The urgency of what you need it for will force your hand to use a plug to move it to the next stage. Stallion93: |
Truly, the government is trying to ensure that things get better in this country but the system has an endemic corruption. I registered for my wife PCC on Friday and till now, its only at the confirmed stage. I just did mine now and from the file number between mine and hers, there has been a record of 1040 registration and each person paying N30,000 amounts to N31,200,000 in the government coffers which is a good thing. I can only imagine how much has been made from this new process, but would it be used judiciously? The human bottlenecks created to ensure money still flows into personal pocket is alarming and if you don't pay for fast track, your application will hang for months. |
I paid for my wife's Naric (Ecctis) using Vesti virtual dollar card (the rate is high though but very reliable). Just ensure you have like an extra $5 to cover the card payments fees or else you will keep getting a declined error message. Deeofdeebeauty: |
Best advise I have read so far and I will advise you to do your personal research on this. I am currently on this route and hopefully leave Nigeria by year end. Re-skill and upskill yourself in either business analysis, project management, data analysis and other in demand roles in the UK or Canada. Best advise is to start now before you relocate. I just finished my training with one of the consulting companies he listed, I have revamp and optimized my CV and LinkedIn profile and already getting job interview invites without even applying, so I am hopeful I will land a role once I get there within 3 months because the only reason I haven't is because of my Visa status as most companies dont offer visa sponsorship. The easiest way to get visa sponsorship job is through the healthcare sector and thats probably the caregiver route. If your wife is willing to sacrifice and go for the practical training and do some online training and certifications in care, you are halfway there. Next thing is to get a sponsor and that can be sorted out. My wife's COS should be out soon, and the path we took is a process oriented one to ensure she is given a job and not just a COS. I was once at a crossroad like you but I did my personal research, talked to a few friends and family abroad, and made my decision and I have been on this journey since December. Its not a rush rush thing, it requires planning and precise execution. The most important part is already taken care of by you...FINANCE. Nobody will loan you money to relocate so kudos to you. The final decision still rest with you, pray to God if you are a believing Christian/Moslem and ask for his guidance. I run my own consulting business and this year has been tremendous and when I look at it, I think its actually a test of my faith to either stay back or leave. I am making money more than any other year and its actually a temptation to stay back but this decision I am taking should have been made 6 years ago. I regret not making it then but I have learnt and will keep on learning. Dont be afraid and dont get scared by tales from people here or abroad that its going to be tough for you there. Our destiny's are different and if you are a hardworking and go-getter here, you will definitely make it there too. Age is not a barrier, someone that trained with the consulting company I trained with got a PM job at 55 years and with no prior experience in project management. All you need is transferable skills, tenacity and can do attitude. Be ready to read a lot and keep learning. Google and Youtube is your friend. Lots of free training out there. The only reason I paid for the PM training is because of UK/Canada job experience and job reference. Nobody will employ you without a good job reference. I wont even talk about starting a business here with your N20million, please don't dare it. You are not a business person and you don't want to loose your hard earn funds. I will update this comment by year end and let you know how its going with me. I wish you the best in whatever decision you eventually make. Cheers. xyzando: |
