Have you tried doing the GRE? If you score very high you may be able to overcome the GPA. Consider the subject tests too.

Sam8850:
Hello all and welcome to this thread. This new year, I believe a lot of people have resolutions and plans they intend to achieve this year and for the future. I am a strong believer of the saying "Knowledge (the right information) is Power" hence having the right information from peoples experience and legit sources can lead to the achievement of our goals.

Now, for those of us who are intending to migrate to Germany for work or family re-union purposes, it is very vital to get the right information on processes and guidance to successful acquiring of your visum (visa).

Here we go, first it will be very important to visit the German Consulate official website, try to know legit site as opposed to third party, clone sites or random Google site results. The official site of the German Consulate in Nigeria is https://nigeria.diplo.de, there you can find a lot of information regarding types of visas, booking appointment and requirements.

I am currently processing my Work Visa (entry visa for Blue Card) at the Consulate, I had my interview on 19th November 2018 and I await the approval of my visa. Also, at the same time I'm looking to begin process of a family re-union visa for my wife and 1year old son, interviews have been booked for both in March 2019.

I believe there are Nigerians out there in Germany who have gone through this process in the past few years that can share their experience with us, which is always helpful. I have questions and well as I can answer questions of my journey to this stage, I have also been able to share and answer questions on other threads that can help.

So lets begin this journey by helping each other one question and answer at a time for the right information is power that will help us achieve our goals.

Thank you.

I travel more than you do okay? Stop bringing developed country into Nigeria because what the masses there benefit we don't...stop fooling yourself

TecM0:
Travel and educate yourself una no go gree..... Dubai is 100% richer than Lagos Roads bridges are privately built and tolled with solik toll system, same thing in London metropolitan city, this gives Government more revenue for other social infrastructure like schools , hospitals etc

.
PoliticsRe: Femi Fani-Kayode Writes Tinubu: A Bat From Hell And The Asiwaju Of Blood - FFK by Oluomu: 10:55am On Oct 26, 2020
This is where the problem lies, you guys are too gullible to see the truth. Why do we pay tax and what are the money used for? Lagos is one of the richest state in Nigeria. Must they gate everywhere? Tax payers money where used to build those toll gate, mention the investor name since you have idea of the project.

That how you will allow tifnubu to mortgage ur generation because of sentiment.

TecM0:
I think the stupid one here is anyone who go about attacking people and strangers for their comments and opinions... Nobody with proper home training would go through such route

Fani Kayode was in Government same time Tinubu was is in Government as aviation minister what was Fani Kayode's contribution to Yoruba land, Lagos, Nigeria or Black Race at large?! Except corruption and plane crash

Now Tinubu whose idea was BRT mass transport system that evil people burnt ,whose idea was to ask Private Investors and contractors to build Lekki Ikoyi bridge a world class project and earn back their investment through toll gating is being called evil by Fani Kayode??!

Honestly many are useless in this country

PoliticsRe: Femi Fani-Kayode Writes Tinubu: A Bat From Hell And The Asiwaju Of Blood - FFK by Oluomu: 10:47am On Oct 26, 2020
Tell me one thing Tifnubu has done for this country? For your information FFK was never minister under Jonathan.

Focktot:
What did FFK do for Yoruba land while he was the minister of aviation ?

The aviation minister from the East turned Enugu airport to international airport under Jonathan.

What has Fro ever done in Osun state in all his life outside addiction to harddrugs and have mutiple wives and mistresses.

How exactly is he better than Tinubu?

Thanks once again for this information, I'm actually looking for program inline with my profession and experience.

I have over 10 years of experience in automotive precisely Gasoline and Diesel Engine and most of the programs I'm seen are diploma programs, been the fact that is been long I came out of school I don't want to dabble in course I have no idea of, reason for choosing those course in Algonquin and Fanshawe. And from the course outline I can get some courses waved since i have done them before in my post secondary programs during my years in school according the person handling Africa candidates.

I would appreciate ur further input and advice in these areas.

Thanks

Lekiboboe:
Ok, your welcome, those two programs you mentioned at Fanshawe & Algonquin in ur initial post are all College Diploma , they are not PGC Programs.

Interestingly,
its likely u get a Positive decision from those two schools based on admission, the main bridge to cross will now be your Study Visa Application, most esp. on
" How to Convince a Visa Officer (VO) with strong Cogent reasons why u are going for a DIPLOMA instead of a PGC on your SOP (Statement of Purpose)"

No, am talking about NIAGARA COLLEGE in ONTARIO, not Lanagara,

Langara College is in another province (British Columbia)

As per going with your family,
Do await a response in that from members in House,

From what I know of this,
its always advisable for the applicant (you) to Travel only, so you can use your family as HOME-TIES (Ties are things that can compel u to come back to Nigeria after your Studies in Canada e.g Family, Landed Properties, Job, Position etc.) cos It is highly mandatory of you to show strong HOME-TIES to your country and ur family is one of them.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Oluomu: 12:26pm On Oct 25, 2020
Thanks for your advice @lekiboboe, I am actually referring to PGC not PGD and I'm having zoom meeting with Fanshawe college on Tuesday to finalize my decision. Do you mean Langara college?

Please I would like to know in case I want to go with a family of 5 what is the minimum account statement and also would sponsor be allowed in this case if I'm unable to raise the minimum account statement for family study pathway.

Thanks for all that have contributed making this forum informative.

Lekiboboe:
Hi Oluomu,

I don't know how cogent your reasons are to go for a DIPLOMA, since u are a Graduate (HND), to show Academic/Career Progression, a Post Graduate Certificate is your best shot.

Cos you going for a Program having a lower qualification would likely raise concerns for a VO (Visa Officer).

Google and check

- PG. Cert, Industrial Automation
Niagara College, Ontario Do you mean Langara college?

- PG. Cert, Practical Elements of Mechanical Engineering
Fanshawe College, Ontario

Try & do more esearch on PG. Cert programs related to your Mech. Engineering field

Sadly yes NAIT is quite expensive but trust me even though its a polytechnic... its the next best thing in edmonton after university of edmonton. And its highly reputable, whichever school you choose make sure its a DLI and its a reputable school cos that too helps..
All the school I list are DLI.....
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Oluomu: 7:56pm On Oct 24, 2020
I just checked NAIT site now, the tuition fee is very expensive compare to other schools, i have done zoom meeting with some schools already but unfortunately non is on the list of COVID 19 list of schools that can bring in international students.

Thanks boss. According the school I have to make tuition deposit of 6k cad and balance to be paid before session resumes a and also the school accept instalment payment.

Like check NAIT as advised.

adeenzo:
NAIT would have been a sweet school for what you wanna do.. but don’t worry about a thing, people here will give you handy advise on the schools you have chosen..
About funding, make sure you or your sponsor can prove your full first year tuition fees + 10k cad for your upkeep, you can pay your full first year fees to the school if possible before applying.. (please note, it’s not mandatory that you must pay your first year tuition before applying for your study permit..
