*Points from the TESCOM Chairman today. 05/11/2020 (Teaching Applicants)*

1. The govt projected to recruit 3k teaching staff from the start but later approved 5k teachers.

2. The 5k list has already been approved by the governor and it's being uploaded to the TESCOM portal.

3. Probably before the end of today, the portal should be accessible for applicants to check their status.

4. The uploading of the list could have been done earlier but lack of phone number column during the interview delayed the process.

5. Preparation of employment letters has already started but applicants should be patient for about a week before they start coming for the letters. In as much as their portal reads successful, they have secured the job.

6. 9% of the successful applicants are non-indigenes of Oyo State who are residents of the state.

7. Out of 300-350 physically challenged applicants, 200 were successful. 150 for teaching and 50 for non-teaching.

The schedule is for candidates who scored 50% and above.

- Highest score is 86%

- Cut off recommended 50% but the cut off can't be the same across subject line

(I predicted it)

- 6369 (10% of total) scored above 50%

- Board to determine cut off base on subject

- Whoever meets the Cut off, goes into the interview

- After interview of teaching, Non teaching list will be treated

- People with disabilities will undergo interview

- Interview to take place within 1 to 2 weeks so as to resume in the new calender year in September
