Update, I see no reason why u should go to the bank to purchase your Unilag Msc form, it's something you can purchase from the comfort of your room and register at the same time, saving urself stress, additional costs and time

All you need get ready are the following

Ur BSc/Hnd (certificate/statement of result) as the case may be (pls note that u can still go ahead with using your statement of result at the application stage, u will only need ur certificate during the registration stage and that will be in January next year)

If you have your certificate already, you don't need a transcript, afterall I've been through the process myself

A recent passport photo (soft copy)

Your NYSC discharge/exemption certificate (soft copy)

As far as engineering is concerned you don't need to upload your olevels, afterall u won't be a graduate if you didn't have that already

Other professional certificates (unilag has some recognized professional certificates but pls if yours isn't amongst the list, just add it like that, u may be lucky as they appoint marks for them same as your years of post NYSC experience)

With these you are good to go

I just read about cutworms now. Those beasts can wreck the same havoc. Sadly, I saw a couple of them on some watermelon balls, yesterday evening. They operate largely at night and hide underground in the day. Their judgment day has come!

What you are experiencing is the symptoms of calcium deficiency in the soil and water stress. Water melons are sensitive to water stress and react by splitting if water is suddenly applied to it, the problem is worse if your soil is calcium deficient.

Thanks for the enlightenment. How do you suggest I increase the calcium level of the soil?

This can occur if you add boost extra to the cyperforce and you apply it to your plants at sunrise.
It can also occur when water is suddenly applied after long time deprivation of water. Sudden change in temperature will cause them to split.
It has happened to my plants few years ago.
Be rest assured it wouldn't affect your profit if you have treated them well at initial stage.
From that image, I can say they are almost ready for harvest.
We need more response from experienced farmers.

Please help. The watermelon planting was done 7 weeks ago and pesticide(cyperforce) is being applied every 9 days. The last day of pesticide application was Monday. On getting to the farm today, I discovered that holes have been bored into some while some look like they have been eaten by insects. I have uploaded pictures with this post. Who has experienced something like this before and what can I do. I really need help. Pieces of advice please.

Pls, how many drilling rods do you think one will need?

it depends on the area (sedimentary or basement) you want to capture as your business area and the targeted depth. imported rods are around 3.3metres so, if geophysical report recommends a depth of, say, 60metres, that means you will need 20rods.

borehole drilling requires a lot of capital to set up. nigerian built rig goes for about N10-15m and a good second hand compressor should be around 1.6m, other expenses are involved - drilling rods (50-70k each), drilling bits (70 - 150k, depending on size and quality) etc. with these, you can drill an average of 2 holes per day at the rate of nothing less than 280k each. i guess 450k profit per day (all other things being equal) is lucrative enough. from a driller.
