Car TalkRe: CNG Conversion: Projected Cost And Revenue Analysis Of CNG Program In Nigeria by oluseg2: 4:08pm On Nov 20, 2024
What's the current price?.

And are you talking about the cost of conversion or cost of the gas?

CivilianJTF:
Bro, the current price of CNG has gone up and has narrowed the gain margin
BusinessRe: My Advice To Salary Earners by oluseg2: 7:31pm On Oct 27, 2024
SoaringLife01:
How possible is it to save over 70% of one's salary in this Tinubu regime?
Please give an example using statistical breakdown.
The truth is most people cut corners in their paid jobs and then come out to preach savings and investment to you. If not, how will somebody say he can save 70% of his income in this present day.
BusinessRe: My Advice To Salary Earners by oluseg2: 7:21pm On Oct 27, 2024
JobAndVacancies:
shut up.
How can you save with a salary of 60k below
For people who are upright and do not cut corners in their paid jobs, it may be difficult to save especially when you already have a family and your monthly take home pay is barely enough to take care of your needs.

This is not to say that we should not strive as much as possible to do some savings and investment.
Car TalkRe: Why CNG Vehicles Pose A Grave Risk On Nigerian Roads by oluseg2: 2:50pm On Oct 23, 2024
You are right.

9icetoo:
CNG has been in use in vehicles in countries hotter than Nigeria. It is not about weather or climate.

It also has nothing to do with a car not originally being designed to run on CNG. CNG is a fuel just like LPG, PMS, AGO, Alcohol and other flammable fuels.

It all has to do with the following
1. Use of kits that meet design, engineering and testing standards. Even the petrol tank in your vehicle is tested.
2. Use of trained and certified installation technicians
3. Regular and periodic maintenance of the CNG system and testing where and when required.

It is required that kits and tanks that have gone past their use by dates are either replaced or decommissioned.

It is tempting to reuse or retain such systems but that is what leads to such incidents.

The public should never buy locally fabricated cylinders or kits that have not been certified by approved organisation. This will prevent accidents or incidents as experienced recently in Benin.

CNG was introduced in Benin more than 10 years ago. There has not been one recorded incident with the earlier conversions. They were done properly and with approved kits.
Car TalkRe: How Much Do You Currently Spend On Fuel In A Week? by oluseg2:
MT:
This is a weird question.

People have different needs for fuel. What exactly is the objectives of your question?

Some people work remotely, hardly go out and have solar panel wired up, their fuel consumption will be low.

Some do transportation business, fuel consumption will be high.

Some run generator for business but make profit from their businesses to cater for the cost of fuel.
How is the question weird?. Sure you know within you that he is not talking about people who use their cars for transport business.

PoliticsRe: Government To Register, Tax Foreigners Earning Income In Nigeria – Bayo Onanuga by oluseg2: 6:42am On Sep 26, 2024
Also note that there is another salary being paid to their foreign account apart from the living wages paid to their local naira account.

oluseg2:
No. That living wage paid to them in Naira is currently not been taxed. We as Nigerians are being taxed on our monthly salaries and wages and still get taxed via VAT whenever we go for shopping. So the issue of double taxation does not come into play here.
PoliticsRe: Government To Register, Tax Foreigners Earning Income In Nigeria – Bayo Onanuga by oluseg2: 6:40am On Sep 26, 2024
GigFc:
I might be wrong o, but wouldn't that mean that they already pay tax in their countries? And are also taxed through VAT when they use services in Nigeria?

Will you tax them twice on same salary?
No. That living wage paid to them in Naira is currently not been taxed. We as Nigerians are being taxed on our monthly salaries and wages and still get taxed via VAT whenever we go for shopping. So the issue of double taxation does not come into play here.

Salewa97:
The price of petrol in Nigeria is still one of the lowest in the world.

The only difference is that we are not subsidizing it for now which is not a bad thing.

The money that would have been used for subsidy is being channeled into infrastructure development
Why are you like this?

PoliticsRe: EFCC Raises Task Force Against Dollarization Of Economy by oluseg2: 12:45pm On Feb 08, 2024
You have very good suggestions.

emkz:
What MUST be done:

1 Outright ban of the use of dollars within Nigeria.

2 Give holders of dollars a month to put it in the banking system after which it will be seized if found on the holders.

3 People like Herbert Wigwe charging tuition fees in their universities in dollars need to be compelled to pay their workers in dollars and also pay electricity bills, diesel bills, and other expenses in dollars.

4 All BDCs must be heavily regulated and if dollars is sold to anyone, the reason must be compelling and must be traceable.

5 Arrest politicians found with dollars.

6 We can't afford to have accounts opened in foreign currencies within Nigeria. Our economy can't support it.

7 Some of the things we import are not needed. Therefore impose heavy taxes on luxury cars, foreign wines, clothing, and food. Visit shops and hike the tax on foreign commodities like cashew, apples, and shoes. Nigeria is a big market. The least Toyota and Honda owes us is to run assembly plants within Nigeria.

8 NNPC must be stopped from selling crude oil to local refiners in dollars.

9 No company, including foreign ones, must be allowed to pay any worker in foreign currency. The idea of working in Nigeria is that you spend your earnings in Nigeria. If you want to remit funds abroad, use proper banking channels to do your transfer and pay the appropriate fees.

10 We found out that some embassies in Nigeria collect visa fees in foreign currencies in cash in Nigeria. We call on the foreign affairs minister to call those ambassadors to stop the practice. Some of these embassies use the desperation of our people to prey on them and commit crimes that cannot be tolerated elsewhere. Any embassy operating in Nigeria that cannot respect and idolize our naira should close and go elsewhere where such crimes of collecting a non-legal tender within a country they operate in is allowed. If they collect naira, they can use our banks to remit the funds or use online transfers so they can get the forex equivalent of the naira charges in their accounts in their countries. I call on Nigerians to be bold enough to report some of these embassies for the sharp practices.

11 Some of the embassies in Nigeria are desperately corrupt. Especially of some countries in the EU.

You are wrong.

Peter Rufia is still the greatest of all time.

FuckingMachine:
Vincent Enyeama

None of the others achieved half of his feats. Rufai was a basket so don't even try that rubbish. Rufai benefitted from being part of Nigeria's most gifted set ever and every time the ball got to him, a goal was sure to be conceded. The 70/80s set were just nostalgia. If they were so good how come Nigeria didn't qualify for any World Cup in their time winning only ONE AFCON?

Vincent Enyeama hands down abeg.

It doesn't make sense to still be selling at the old retail price when there is reduction now from the company.

Speak complete truth my friend so that you will be at peace with God. We all know the fuel price increase is having negative impact on that business sector.

AareGaa:
It's not subsidy removal that is the problem, it's the high commission being collected by greedy Uber/bolt.

Okada riders/ Keke riders/ commercial bus drivers are making money daily.
