Samsung screen replacement price alone will make you consider infinix. all the same am still a proud owner of Samsung Note 3, tab 2 10.1 and a galaxy S2. am just a sucker for Samsung product

1.) Battery Life: Why do I need to always be with a power bank if my device battery life was ok? With Infinix, you may not always have to charge your device very 8 hours. Samsung batteries are dead wack!

2.) Fast Charging: It takes like forever to fully charge a Samsung device except you use a super fast charger of another brand like Infinix, huawei etc. In fact, the latest Infinix devices like the Note 4 pro, are super faster with the XCharge 4.0 technology.

3.) Price: We all know that Infinix devices are much more affordable than Samsung devices and you get more value for your money with your Infinix device. Moreover, Why do I have to pay half the amount I bought the phone just to replace a cracked Samsung screen?

Samsung market share in Nigeria has fallen considerably! Infinix is doing just better off even though both brands needs to improve in other areas....

Is that really a mongrel? Our vet identified this dog in the picture below as mongrel. Maybe it's a mixed breed.

A mongrel is not really the name of a breed, a mongrel is just a word used to describe a mixed breed whose breeding probably didn't happen intentionally. Looking at this dog, I'll have to agree with your vet cos I doubt if it is a full breed. Probably has a trace of a terrier in him (not sure but just guessing).

Hi.
Thanks for initiating this intelligent argument. There are a 1000 and more dog breeds out there and dog breeds is hardly a topic covered in Nigerian Veterinary Schools basically because the course work is so extensive for the 6 years of study.

Any day anytime, I'll be the first to let you know that veterinarians are not necessarily breeders. I've found out from experience that very good breeders are better at identifying dog breeds than a number of vets- which makes a lot of sense since vets are primarily concerned about caring for the health of dogs ( and other animals)which is a lot in itself.

That being said, the onus is on every professional to be ahead of his or her game and the call for continuing education is repetitive and important.

As for the dog in case study- Snow- there's a possibilty, he's Bichon but don't they usually have curled tails? Another Lhasa-look alike breed is the Coton de Tuléar and there are several more.
I've attached more pictures of 'groomed' Snow for your perusal. Do let me know what you think?

Thanks.

.........and yes as much as these toy breeds looks alike, anyone familiar with them can tell the difference.

First thing I wanna point out is the fact that most Bichon can only be white, and very few of them comes in Cream/off white colors. You cant get a pure bichon in other colors except these two colors but most ppl will just assume they are white Bichons when the fact is that you hardly ever come across pure with Lhasas.

Secondly, the Coton de Tuléar has more similarities to a Bichon Maltese than a Lhasa. I think Lhasas are the easiest toybreed to identify compared to others considering their fur and the fact that they are always longer than their height.

Finally, you can always tell they all have different texture, length and pattern of growth of their fur

Thanks for the reply. From the second picture, I am convinced Snow is Bichon Frisé. I posted two picture of mine which I want you to compare so you can tell the similarity. The first one is Derby (my favorite) when she was hair and the second is Derby and her siblings when groomed (Ignore the Samoyed and the Cauc tho, the rest are pure Bichons)..... Thanks for sharing your experience by the way

Ok,
i dnt have a Bichon Frise. I have 2 Lhasa

but i must admit my 6 puppies looked like a Bichon Frise but grew up to look exactly like their mother.

the first time I took my first Bichon to a reputable vet in Abuja years back, I gotta register her n the vet attending to her wrote Lhasa as her breed even before I could say a word so I corrected him immediately which bought about d attention of all the vets available and they all claimed I didn't know dogs like they did. I stood on my word since I knew what I owned so they brought out a dog dictionary (didn't know one existed) and they discovered I was right after all.

my point is many ppl mistake Bichon for Lhasa (even the professionals). The OP for example said "she's a mixture of Lhasa and Terrier" which means she acknowledges the fact that the dog ain't Lhasa (at least not a full breed) but she might not realize it is a full breed Bichon Frisé. Bichon Maltese are easily identified than Frisé. I'll like you to Google then. lovely pets they re

That is a Lhasa.

They look very much alike though.

Very confusing breeds.

I'll agree only when I see a clearer picture. I own both Lhasa and Bichon Frisé so I know them well

#dogchronicles #day3

Snow's human brought him to us late July 2015 because he was going on Summer vacation and needed a place to keep him(Snow).
I felt an attachment to Snow- an almost 2 year old Lhasa/terrier mix- because I had convinced his owner to keep him with us instead of with his(owner's) aged father.

First day with us, Snow refused to eat anything. I wasn't so bothered because with some dogs that is quite normal given a change of environment. By the 2nd day however, I became worried especially given that his handler has told us his meals consisted of Pizza and Kilimanjaro's (a popular eatery in Port Harcourt) rice. Ha!

We tried everything. Wet dog food(can), dry dog food (Kibble)- nothing. He wouldn't eat, he only took a little milk. I checked all his parameters again (we usually check out a dog before boarding to be sure of his health status). I wanted to be sure I didn't miss anything the first day. My colleague suggested that i give appetite booster, I did.
Third day however, I tried another can dog food and he finished it in seconds- Eureka! I ran to tell my colleague the good news. We had finally found the cure to his inappetence(lack of appetite) or so we thought. The very next day, good old Snow was back to his ways and frustrating the heck out of us all.

We thought, brainstormed and then one day I bought rice from a road side vendor and gave Snow and he finished it in minutes but we didn't rejoice yet. The next day, I did the same, rewarded him with 2 pieces of meat(instead of one) and it was gone in minutes as well (though in all fairness to Snow, he ate the meat pieces first, lol) that was when we jubilated. Finally!!!

Let me take you back to the 2nd day he spent with us.You see as my practice is, when I get to work most mornings, I go round all the kennels, greet each dog personally, give them a pat on the head, dance with the ones that are in the mood to, scold the mean ones, cuddle and tickle others etc. So this day,as I opened Snow's Kennel to do the usual, Snow jumped out, took one look at me and turned on his heels.

End of Part 1.

Are you sure this ain't a Bichon Frisé? I don't agree with the Lhasa/Terrier mix u called it

Sound Sultan got a surprise yesterday for Christmas a painted portrait of himself, his wife, and three children in super hero suits.

He posted this on his instagram page today as he wishes the artist Kunzzy10 a happy birthday as he celebrates today.

The artist's real name is Kunle Odugbesan who is also a product of Yaba College of Technology. No doubt that school produces the best artists in Naija. He is also the artist responsible for all the wonderful greeting cards Sultan flaunted on his birthday on the 27th of November

Sound Sultan wrote;
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY @kunzzy10 gifted is an understatement thank you for your Christmas surprise #FAMILYPOTRAIT with a different #legionofFasasi #superdad #wondermum. GET YOURS TODAY"

Lol! They ain't carnivorous here so you ain't got nothing to worry about. Ikom is actually the second biggest place after Calabar n less expensive anyways. It shares border with Ekok, Cameroon so u can always visit there. It is also very close to Obudu so u can visit the cattle ranch too. Calabar is about 6hrs away from here though but that's as a result of the bad road network. Like I said before, everything abt this state is the worst opposite of ll the good thing you hear about it. That's why I fell victim too. I beg u with everything you cherish not to dream Calabar unless u got over 250k for house rent for a room n have a car you're gonna be driving or a large sum of money to survive n transport ur self

I don't which part of Nigeria all these people talking about prices being fair o! Am a Corper serving in Cross River state. I got a washing hand basin of rice for N1,500 when I arrived this state, N1,600 the next month and N1800 last month. Did my monthly shopping days ago and I got it for N2,200. This price hike has affected practically everything in the market while my alawee remains 19,800....

Guess that's the change I voted for afterall
