No Op it's not possible for now. Openps2loader only supports Fat32 and exfat file systems which is only possible on SD cards or flash drives. Cdroms use Cdfs file system and as such won't work.

Bro, even if you format the memory card and recopy it, it still won't work. Openps2loader has an issue with reading data from the memory card. You need to get a new loader, specifically Ps2esdl by Sp193. Just download it and use it to run the game.

What matters is the laptop's screen resolution, if you're going to be running games at 1080p, then make sure the screen's resolution is at least 1920 x 1080.

I understand. What you need to do is to format that memory card and since the memory card contains freemcboot that's why you need to reinstall it. All you have to do is to download freemcboot from that site, extract it to an sdcard, boot into Launchelf, launch freemcboot from sdcard, then format your memory card and reinstall freemcboot on it.

download mckiller from http://www.ps2savetools.com/wpfb-file/mckiller-zip/
Extract to your sdcard
Boot into Launchelf by holding R1 when you see Fmcb splashscreen upon bootup.
Press O to open filebrowser
Open "mass"
Locate and launch mckiller.elf
Now use mckiller to format any memory card you want to format.

Just make sure not to format the memory card with contains freemcboot.

Try this then, after booting into Launchelf, plug in your sdcard, press O to access file browser, locate "mass", open it with O, then send me a pic of its content. Or you could simply try another card reader, the card reader might be damaged.

Under openps2loader there should be a setting to enable autorefresh, try to turn it on and save your settings. Now try the entire process all over again and see if the games show.

I did that and got this. what do I do?

Press "O" to access file browser. Open Mc0 or Mc1, access the folders and try finding Openps2loader.elf. Once located press "O" to launch it, if it doesn't work you'd have to download another one.

Try this, remove the sdcard/usb, turn on the console, when you see the "freemcboot" splashscreen hold "R1" on your gamepad and see if it boots into Ulaunchelf.
