My advice, get a trusted repairer and have him change the motherboard. It will last longer, since it's almost like getting a new console.

My PS3 developed YLOD 2 months ago and i have seen a lot of information on the internet that suggests a YLOD PS3 cannot last more than one month when repaired. I took a trip Military Shopping Arena in Oshodi and went to about three shops to make enquiries, they all said processor/panel whatever was to be changed. I need honest replies and price range for it to be repaired.

The ylod can be repaired via three methods. Reflowing, reballing or simply changing the entire motherboard. Reflowing is the least effective method, the console might work for 2 weeks or a month then stop. Reballing is more effective and lasts longer. It requires technicians with special tools and equipments to get it done. If either methods fail, then the repairer simply changes the motherboard. The reflow costs not more than 2k or thereabouts, reball is more expensive and i don't know how much it costs currently. Changing the motherboard costs more than reballing and reflowing.

Concerning the first option, it's been long since i used that software so you'll have to learn it yourself. Just good usbutil tutorial and you should see several results regarding it.

4gb file limit restriction for fat32 file system. There are two options here.
1. Use usbutil pc software to install your games.

2. Use unofficial opl which supports exfat file system. You'll have to format your sd card to exfat format and by so doing you'll never have to worry about file size limits anymore.

Which one do you want? Mind you, both processes require a pc.

I don't have hdd for sale at the moment. If you do get an external hdd, you'll have to format it to fat32 file format. You'll need to do that with a pc.

Why i think note 3 is overpriced is because if compared to hot 4 it only is surpass it in the following :
1.Screen size which is 0.5 inch bigger than hot 4.
2.processor:it has an octa core processor while hot 4 has quad core processor.
3.price; note 3 is 55000 and hot 4 is 385000.... Hence price difference is 16500.
And others i forgot to mention..... Your opinions are needed.
