Besides why use data connection to install game file, when u have other options to do it without data.

You can actually use PKG sender+remote package installer and a lan cable to install games without the need for data.

I collected about 15 games from Emmanuel and also upgraded my PS4 firmware at his place. The reviews don't lie. Great customer experience overall. The only ish I have is there were no refreshments served. @Emmanuel you suppose dey entertain guests. .But the overall experience was cool sha.

You can also use PS2esdl to play gow2. That game hangs on OPL if I can remember clearly.

when you truly understand how fcmboot and OPL works, you won'tbe having these issues. Games are just dumps of CDs. You can buy a CD, rip it and play it via USB or had if you want. You can reach out to SP193 on psxplace. I don't know if he is still active, but back then he modded a lot of these homebrew software to work for all PS2 models. Most of these devs have moved on. You should too.

There's a custom Opl version that supports the ext2 file system. You should look into it. With that you can copy any game of any size and play it in iso format also there won't be any fragmentation issues.

You really don't need usbutil anymore. Opl supports iso format.
