Politics / Arms Contract Scandal: Senator Saraki Blackmailed CBN Officials To Pay N250M by oluwaSmith1(f): 7:16am On Dec 01, 2015 |
SaharaReporters has learned that Senate President Bukola Saraki blackmailed officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to hand him N250 million as “hush” funds after the senator had found out that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan had illicitly approved N60 billion for the former National Security Advisor (NSA), Sambo Dasuki, to purchase “arms.” A source, who is a senior CBN official, disclosed that bank officials paid the sum to Mr. Saraki, who was not the Senate President at the time, to ensure that he and other senators kept silent about the irregular withdrawals by the NSA and the Jonathan administration.http://saharareporters.com/2015/12/01/arms-contract-scandal-senator-saraki-blackmailed-cbn-officials-pay-n250-million-hush 6 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / APC Procession In PH, Illegal, Inciting –PDP by oluwaSmith1(f): 4:36pm On Nov 30, 2015 |
The chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, Rivers State chapter, Felix Obuah, says he is disappointed about the continued show of disrespect for the law and breach of public peace by members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, led by Dakuku Peterside, Magnus Abe, Andrew Uchendu and other leaders of the party in the state. The PDP chairman, in a statement signed by Jerry Needam, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, observed and considered today’s event tagged, ‘Rivers Black Day,’ organized by the APC, which according to them, was to remember those killed during the 2015 general elections, as clearly a demonstration of impunity, and disposition to cause crisis, and to incite not only their members but the people of the State against the security commands and constituted authorities in the State. The PDP is aware that following recent incidences of violence associated with public demonstrations in the State, the Rivers State government, in collaboration with the State security agencies, placed a ban on all forms of public protest, wondering why in spite of the subsisting order, the APC leaders still went ahead to organize such procession in the State. This, to us, is a flagrant disobedience and disregard for the law and State authorities, and should not be taken for granted. It is also a cause of concern that the remembrance event is being held this period and on this date, which in no way, was not the date the alleged deaths took place. It is therefore, an undisputed fact that organizers of the event deceitfully dressed up a public procession aimed at causing violence and crisis in Port Harcourt and making cheap political points by blackmailing the PDP and perceived political opponents in the State. The PDP also wishes to draw the attention of the security agencies and other relevant government authorities to the fact that the State APC failed governorship candidate, Mr Dakuku Peterside, was always being referred to as ‘the Governor’ by speakers at the event, which was televised live on the NTA network during the session. To us, this is a treasonable offense and should be investigated and those culpable be arrested and prosecuted accordingly. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/apc-procession-in-ph-illegalinciting-pdp/ |
Politics / I Carry A Moral Burden To Defend Audu’s Mandate – Faleke by oluwaSmith1(f): 1:43pm On Nov 30, 2015 |
LOKOJA – The Deputy Governor candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the November 21, governorship election, James Abiodun Faleke has said that he carried a moral burden to defend his boss, late Abubakar Audu’s mandate at the poll. Faleke who spoke today at late Prince Abubakar Audu’s house in GRA, Lokoja said the mandate of late Audu has robbed on him. Faleke who spokes alongside the first son of the late Audu, Muhammedu Audu (taunted to Deputise him) amidst other Igala political leaders said they will stop at nothing to reclaim the mandate that ‘INEC ‘momentarily truncated by declaring the election inconclusive’. The ArchBishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province of the Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Chukwuma, on Friday in Agbani, Enugu State dropped a bombshell as he warned of a powerful demon dwelling at the Enugu State Government House. DAILY POST reports that the ArchBishop spoke at the burial ceremony of a former First Lady of Enugu State, Nnenna Agnes Nnamani. Chukwuma, who cautioned the Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon.
