Its a secret, tell no one)i could be generous enough to give you #200 from it, and no, dont thank me, i am only doing what i know how to do bestsmiley

We earnestly rejoice at the news that the protracted stike is finally winding up, but still the possibility of we freshers staying at home for the first 4(or even more, who knows) months in 2014 lingers on, particularly for those who arent jobbing(like me), making the brain go on such a long vacation isnt such a good idea and can profundly affect us when finally we resume. So as we keep hopes alive of resuming lets also continue to task our brain.

While pondering on how i could avoid time profligacy, i did this so i decided to come here and share it with you guys mayhaps it could be of help to some of you, students will be coming back for xmas break on the 24th(i think), if you know you have someone, or better put, if you know you have people there, tell them to gather course notes and other course materials for you from different students, it doesnt matter if they arent studying the course you are going in for, they could get them from friends on your behalf, just make next year academically militant, afterall, if not for this over-stretched strike, we ought to resume next year in January. And for those who are still believing God concerning their admission issue, i pray God's favour and miracle of how-did-it-happen is bestowed upon you all IJN.

On a softer note, The yuletide bells are seriously jingling, so Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you guys in advance, you guys should start sending your gifts to me oo, it isnt to early to receive them, thanks in anticipation and have a nice day sweeries. cheesycheesycheesykisskisskisssmileysmileywink

Seriously? It's just game... But get it at back of your mind you didn't face a tough opponent... Don't go on bragging. I only brag or become so proud if I successfully overcome a very tough challenge or got an A in ɑ very tough course. You guys won; Yes, you deserve to win...but you don't deserve a bragging right(lolz)
Hello!!! This is just the elimination stage and not the final stage, how then can i go on bragging? You were a tough one and i acknowledged at the end of the debate if you checked properly, the more we go on in the debate the tougher it gets, so how then will i see this one as an absolute victory? Infact, you saying that i am bragging shows that you dont have even the slightest idea about me.

Damex333: thats true it is just a game, but what is worth doing is worth doing well, if you were here before the debate you would seen that i personally wanted to WIN OAU. OAU itself understands, well, i pray we meet again
Lolzzzz......oga you mean you meant that your threat abi? Slow down on us sir oooo, and better luck next time.

Damex333: i was angry that i made them win us, well lets hope we qualify 4 the new round.
Finest & boay how many teams are going to be dropped?
You didnt make us win, rather our resilient team spirit did, correct that notion, afterall some schools won with lesser points, but we had 70, if our team work hadnt been good, mayhaps we could have won with just 60 against 55, abeg 70 no be beans, it isnt even the fact that we won you guys that matters here, check our team work and even our debate in totality, also our rebuttals, we arent a weak side and you know it. If you had been on, you guys team might have done well as us, or even better, but still that doesnt change the fact that we deserve the 70 we got... Winning or losing isnt my main priority anyway, all i need is having good points to remain in the competition, afterall Delsu defeated UI with 78points to 73, so both teams are assured of their remaining in the challenge irrespective of who won or who lost. Its just a game!!!

boay:

I didnt say you should expose your weak points to the judges.

But the question I indirectly asked by my posts is this: If your opponent gave those strongly convincing points (counter arguments), do you have counter counter arguments?
Of course YES!!!! You got our essay mixed up sir, i dont know why, but if you read them well, at least mine, you will see that those areas were stressed out, not just the issue of the late 10, you are aware of the way bombings have been taking place severally, it isnt just about the Youth Corp members who died, it is more like preventing further happenings, and i hope you know that so many redeployment even caused problem for the NYSC management in year 2012 as most of the corps members rejected their deployment to the North as no corps member wanted to fall victim of the very ill fate that befell the late 10, if they saw it a political affair they wouldnt have redeployed

.........OH GOSH!!!!! I answered all this during the debate, not again!!!!!!
Education / Re: Nairaland Interschool Debate::winner: OAU by Oluwatola5(f): 5:05am On Dec 08, 2013
boay: They subtly suggest seccession by opposing the motion with those points.
Sir, it is the stance we were given that demanded for such, every debeter does this, you dont care about your bad your topic is in the real sense, you just talk to convince the judges and the viewers. #just saying# if a debater was giving a topic like ''Aids has done more harm than good'' oppose the motion, the debater will go on making AIDS seem with lots of benefits even if in the real sense the person detests AIDS, its just the scope of debating, nothing can be done to change that.

boay:

I finally found it.

I am not an expert in debate. But I will answer this to the best of my ability for the sole purpose of learning.

When preparing for a debate, you cant be certain about how your opponent thinks and how knowlegeable he or she is. Therfore it is very important that after thinking as someone who is opposing, you also need to think as someone who is supporting, then you can prepare the counter arguments.

I am very sure that you also believe that had it been the opponent raise the points I raised, the debate would have been tougher for you.

When I raised those points, I already had the counter arguments because have thought both like someone that is opposing and supporting.

Also, the judges may look at those directions and your argument may not convince them. As emphatic as those points appear, they are not without counter arguments.
Still my questions werent answered, but i will end it here. Thanks all the same
